Made Changes to the layout to more closely resemble changes I made with help from others to the Snake-Eyes Page.

I appreciate the effort but I think the article could still be condensed and be less confusing by removing sub-headings with only a sentence or two to them. Or you could simply merge them with other related sub-headings. --Destron Commander 07:37, 4 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Gijoejinx.jpg

edit

Image:Gijoejinx.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Jinx quote box

edit

Niemti has insisted on including a quote box in the live action film section of this article. However, I believe that putting the quote in a box at the beginning of the section is unnecessary, as it sandwiches the text between that and the infobox. Plus, the quote disrupts the flow of reading the article, because it is discussing the plot of the movie, before the article refers to those same elements. Therefore, I moved the quote to the end of the section, which has led to an edit war and the article being protected. For the record, I'm not disputing the content that was added, just the way that it is displayed, and Niemti has not provided any explanation as to why the quote box at the beginning of the section is preferable. No one is really watching this article, so don't speak to me in third person. --Niemti (talk) 15:52, 9 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Just because you believe that no one is watching over this article (other than the two of us), does not excuse you from discussing changes made to the article. Fortdj33 (talk) 15:57, 9 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Generally, I'd probably be in favour of the quotebox. However, sandwiching text hampers readability -- and articles do have to be read, after all. It's also a longer quote (not overly, I think, but not short). For instance, take Ibuki's article. There is one quote there that squishes the text between an image, and in my opinion it's probably not ideal, but it's also five lines long (on my screen, including the author citation). So it's less disruptive than the more lengthy Yung quote, which (again on my screen) takes up roughly 10. If we needed to quote this, I'd go for the ol'
Elodie Yung commented:
"Jinx wants to fight and she has an objective, and..."
Though I suppose simple prose is also fine, as Fortdj33 wrote. We could also simply forgoe the quote; tell the information contained with paraphrasing. A quote would most likely make for the best flow, however. Either way, the information is there, so presentation should be our main focus here. – Bellum (talk) (contribs) 16:58, 9 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
