POV in Criticism and Praise
The section "Criticism and Praise" contains all praise and no criticism. I have flagged it POV. cookiecaper (talk / contribs) 04:41, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
- Add some criticism. Simple lack of criticism does not indicate NPOV, it indicates an opportunity for YOU to add to the article. 76.22.114.97 (talk) 08:18, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Astonishing
Unbelievably there seems to be no mention of Ive anywhere in the Iphone, Ipad, IMac or Apple wiki articles. How can the designer of the products that turned Apple into the company it is today have not a single entry on those pages??? Twobells (talk)
- updated all the articles that Ive designed.Twobells (talk) 10:48, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
Photo
A photo of Jonathan Ive is available at apple.com PR section: http://www.apple.com/pr/bios/jonathan-ive.html
Though it is not in the public domain, it is intended for press use and hence should fit quite nicely in Wikipedia. Can someone authorized please add this? Davisjohn (talk) 17:55, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
Improving this article
- My plan in reconstructing this page is to further define who Jon Ive is. I would like to go in depth more on the topics already contributed to this page such as his early life & family, career, praise, awards & nominations, etc. I found some articles and information concerning life when he was young which would be a great insight to have on here. I would also like to post some things about his works for apple and anything else related to his career with a broader outlook. I'd like to focus a lot on things he has designed. I most definitely want to get into his work with Steve Jobbs considering his recent death and how both of them worked together to accomplish the many things apple has done within the recent years and so on. I found a few sources concerning Jon Ives involvement in Steve Jobb's memorial and words he has spoken about the unfortunate incident. I think it may be crucial to add various links with articles & interviews on him for anyone that looks at this page as well. Along with that I'd like to add certain video links that may interest the viewer of this page. If I can find anything on his future intentions, I'd love to add information on that too. Also, I want to brush up on how he's gotten to where he is today and he events that lead to that. Being that he is fairly young and is one of the most crucial people working for apple, I think it's important to focus on. As my research develops on Ive's I'm certain I will be adding more aspects on him but depending on where my research takes me, we'll see where that goes.

Salary listed in Pounds?
Why is his salary listed in Pounds? He lives in the US, works for an American company and is paid in US Dollars.108.23.147.17 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:36, 9 November 2011 (UTC).
- Because most Americans don't seem to be interested at all in the man who actually designed the products Apple sell and made it the company it is today.Twobells (talk) 15:33, 6 January 2012 (UTC)--2.220.254.213 (talk) 18:33, 6 September 2012 (UTC)Italic text'≥Bold text
- That's a poor reason, and not backed up by guidelines. Although British, he clearly works in the United States for a US company and I and sure that Apple pays his salary in American dollars..JOJ Hutton 18:51, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
Knighthood
The BBC News source currently in use confirms that he has been knighted and is therefore styled as Sir Jonathan Ive. He is still a British citizen as far as I know so he is entitled to use 'Sir'. Also the source indicates the title is effective immediately so there's no need to wait for the actual knighting to take place to update the article. --109.155.74.208 (talk) 00:24, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
- I concur. His title should now be Sir Jonathan Ive KBE CBE. 80.176.88.21 (talk) 11:23, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
- The KBE supersedes the CBE so the CBE is now dropped from his title. --86.145.6.26 (talk) 12:21, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
Actually I believe the KBE is not used alongside Sir. You become Sir Bill Bloggs if a British or Commonwealth citizen or Bill Bloggs KBE if the knighthood is honorary. Jonathan Ive would be Sir Jonathan Ive not Sir Jonathan Ive KBE. The CBE is a seperate honour and remains in place so his formal styling should be Sir Jonathan Ive CBE. Sue De Nimes (talk) 13:43, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
- This is the case when someone is made a Knight Bachelor but as Jonathan Ive has been made a knight in an 'order of chivalry' he gets a post nominal designation. 80.176.88.21 (talk) 17:24, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
Walter Isaacson
The Isaacson biography of Jobs contains a good deal of information about Ive. I'll add it to the bibliography here. --Christofurio (talk) 14:11, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
