Population
editThe population given in the article is not supported by the citation given. The figure shown in the 2011 District Census is 4,581,268. The figure quoted in the article appears to be a combined figure for Kanpur Nagar and Kanpur Dehat, that is for the former district which was abolished in 1981. The result of the move request was: Moved. Seems sensible, this looks like the common name, and there is no opposition. — Amakuru (talk) 13:49, 27 June 2017 (UTC)
Kanpur district → Kanpur Nagar district – Now a redirect. Quote: " The term Kanpur refers to the combination of Kanpur Nagar district and Kanpur Dehat district. This article explains Kanpur Nagar district." Kanpur district should become a DP for Kanpur Dehat district and Kanpur Nagar district. Joostik (talk) 13:18, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
