Gendarmerie De Frontière

edit

How long has it been since the border police services have transferred from Gendarmerie Frontières to Police Aux Frontières? What was the reason for transferring this?

Why on earth is this linked to the article 'Application de la loi dans le temps en droit français' on the French Wikipedia? This is a page about legal theory rather than law enforcement. Not sure how to remove the link, but if someone else wouldn't mind... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:5054:FE00:4404:D754:BD4F:F305 (talk) 13:20, 8 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. I don’t know how to change it either, but perhaps a better link would be “police français” https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police_fran%C3%A7aise?wprov=sfti1 DoctorKarpiak (talkcontribs) 02:28, 20 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Famous investigator/policeman?

edit

One French policeman (head of investigation team) has been credited with getting one suspect handed over to France. If not in this article, he should perhaps be mentioned in Chez Jo Goldenberg restaurant attack. Is the policeman wiki-notable in French media? If so, then what is his name, please? 89.8.142.165 (talk) 05:18, 5 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Article needs re-org

edit

The article sectioning is poorly organized, and needs work. For example: the subtopic of "Judicial police" is treated in the following sections:

These should be consolidated in one section. In addition, there is now an article Judicial police (France), and most of the content in this article should be merged there, leaving just one summary section (per WP:SS) with a {{Main}} link. Mathglot (talk) 21:28, 13 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
