Request for expansion
editIndian law is a vast topic, which I am sure there is a lot of already on different pages around the net. I wanted to request people who are experts, or know a bit about law in India help expand this page, to give a comprehensive account of all the different areas. I plan to make a start by creating sections with stubs, and would be grateful for all the help possible! Wikidea 11:17, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- Come on, where are all you Indian lawyers! An economist just posted an Indian labour law page - which is a good start, but we can't let economists write the law pages, can we?! Wikidea 14:03, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

language of federal statutes
editAre the federal statutes published and authoritative in Hindi? – Kaihsu (talk) 17:24, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
- Apologies for this delayed reply. According to Article 348 of the Constitution, the authoritative version of all federal statutes is the English publication. Translations of all federal statutes are published in Hindi, and the published version is deemed the authoritative translation in Hindi. Regards, SBC-YPR (talk) 17:38, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. – Kaihsu (talk) 20:52, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
