Episode descriptions
editAs time goes on they get longer and longer, with series 5 certainly not at featured list standard. I'd fix it, but wikipedia confuses me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.210.163.73 (talk) 12:20, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- As it stands, Series 1-3 have short episode summaries, identifying only the subject or situation of each episode, & Series 4-5 have full synopses. I think the disparity should be cofrrected, either by expanding the earlier summaries or cutting down the later ones.
- Personally I would be favour of shortening the later episode summaries to match the brief ones for the earlier series. I think there is too much detail (on this page & the main Peep Show entry) on specific episode plotlines, including joke & plot spoilers. I'm well aware that spoilers are allowed & should not be removed as an end in itself, but I don't think the level of plot detail on this page is justified. However, I would like to establish some level of consensus here before taking action. Please discuss! Weasel Fetlocks (talk) 23:08, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think the entries probably could be shortened. One way this could be done (and has already been done with one episode) is to create articles for the episodes and move the larger entries into those articles, leaving short summaries here. ISD (talk) 05:54, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- I don't agree. Entries for each episode are not justified. I believe they have been started before & were deleted / merged with this page. My point is that there is excessive detail given for each episode, which I do not think is jusified in an encyclopedic context. Weasel Fetlocks (talk) 10:11, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- One page per episode would be excessive, and an invitation to pad with trivia, but perhaps a page for each season, with a section for each individual episode might work. Nick Cooper (talk) 10:18, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- Each season could work. Several series do have these guides, but there could be problems with some who might argue that a guide for just one series, with just six episode per season, could be excessive. On this page, I think we should probalby try and remove the info that is not central to the plot. ISD (talk) 10:20, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- information that is important in helping the reader to recall the episode may also be important, not just things which contribute to the overall story 82.32.36.75 (talk) 02:00, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Is it really necessary to note in the first episode that it's the first appearance of all the characters that appear in it? Ico2 (talk) 02:31, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
- It's helpful & standard to do so for major, supporting & recurring characters; not for one-off & minor characters. Jim Michael 2 (talk) 10:10, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
Episode titles
editHi. I was wondering where wikipedia got the episode titles for the first two series from. Neither the official site nor any of the tv websites I've checked list any episode titles for the first two seasons, i.e. IMDb, TV.com, TVRage, ... 78.48.69.127 (talk) 19:59, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- I believe they are mentioned in the book of scripts. ISD (talk) 20:07, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- Interesting because the series 4 DVD has a "best of" thing that has captions giving episode titles including University, Bowling and Jeremy Makes it. Billwilson5060 (talk) 14:54, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- That's what I was thinking. Citations needed really if we are to believe those are the 10 proper titles. Mark (Talk) 16:31, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- I've added the references. ISD (talk) 18:31, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

In particular, are 8 and 9 definitely right? Jeremy Makes It was definitely on the DVD as the title of 8, in which Jeremy thinks he is getting somewhere with his music. Billwilson5060 (talk) 19:32, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Darrel or Darryl?
editMany of the episode descriptions are taken word for word from the original BBC website, usually with a citation to the original. Since this violates copyright, I'll be erasing them. But if anyone wants to come along and rewrite them in the mean time, go to it. Llamabr (talk) 20:34, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
Character names
editThe article uses both "Super Hans" and "Superhans". Also, it constantly refers to Jeremy by his nickname "Jez", which I find odd. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.205.110.242 (talk) 21:50, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
- The short versions of their names are routinely used in the show & in summaries after being introduced in full. Jim Michael 2 (talk) 17:22, 17 June 2022 (UTC)

It easily qualifies for this cat. It's way beyond minor plot details. Jez (1 of the 2 central characters), Elena & Joe are all bi. Gail is a lesbian. There are same-sex relationships between J & J, as well as between E & G, both of which are important to this sitcom. The cat says related - series don't have to be LGBT-centred to qualify for it. Peep Show Series 1-9 box set
editThe image of the box set and comments underneath, needs to be changed to Series 1-9, so it makes more sense. This is for "List of Peep Show episodes". Naomi Tapper (talk) 22:54, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
