There's no mention of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as one of the best-selling video games of all time, although there are different sources that claim it has sold 60 million copies as of today. Some quick found sources: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1391058/skyrim-games-sales-worldwide/#:~:text=TES%3A%20Skyrim%20cumulative%20units%20sold%20worldwide%202011%2D2023&text=As%20of%20June%202023%2C%20Skyrim,excluding%20mobile%2C%20since%20its%20release. https://www.ign.com/articles/best-selling-video-games-of-all-time-grand-theft-auto-minecraft-tetris https://www.gamesradar.com/skyrim-has-sold-60-million-copies-making-it-the-seventh-best-selling-game-ever/ 46.193.56.21 (talk) 20:22, 12 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Not done: Still the same issue per previous discussions. There are already multiple topics regarding this and yet you somehow added another topic. Its sales do not rely on how reliable the source is because the person (Todd Howard) who made the statement is considered to say some out-of-pocket things in the interviews that would not be acceptable per many other editors. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Why isn't this here? It has sold over 60 Million Copies: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1391058/skyrim-games-sales-worldwide/#:~:text=TES%3A%20Skyrim%20cumulative%20units%20sold%20worldwide%202011%2D2023&text=As%20of%20June%202023%2C%20Skyrim,excluding%20mobile%2C%20since%20its%20release. https://www.ign.com/articles/best-selling-video-games-of-all-time-grand-theft-auto-minecraft-tetris https://mynintendonews.com/2023/06/12/skyrim-has-surpassed-60-million-copies-sold-now-7th-best-selling-game-of-all-time/

I understand that it has been released "multiple times" But many games listed are counting total numbers despite later ports to different platforms. Mario Kart 8 includes Deluxe which is an enhanced version of the game.

Skyrim Special Edition isn't a different game, a remake or a remaster. It just comes with DLC included and offers mod support in an official capacity. Yes there is also "anniversary Edition", but that is just a bundle including all the "paid mods" at one low price combined, the base game is exactly the same. If you can include stuff like the variations of pokemon, Mario Kart Deluxe, and even other games that are persistantly updating, like Minecraft, GTAV, Terraria, there is no reason not to put Skyrim.

Considering the 60m sales, even if you split it in any capacity, it would still be in the upper half with 30+ Million sales. 2600:4040:B124:5C00:EEE9:91CB:F7A0:E9 (talk) 16:35, 10 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
