It's important new lovecraft converts don't think a shoggoth is a traditional monster.--Dr zoidberg590 (talk) 09:51, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
What town?
editThe intro reads "The story is about a young black man who travels across the 1950s segregated United States in search of his missing father, learning of darker aspects plaguing the town originating from a book by famous writer H. P. Lovecraft." What town? Thisisnotatest (talk) 05:10, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
Production codes
editAlex 21,
When was this discuss that 101, 102, and etc. aren't production codes valid enough to be included
? Where is the archive discussion that you speak of? FYI, the production code is listed at the very end of the episode. It is not from the Futon Critic links. — YoungForever(talk) 01:41, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- WP:TV and MOS:TV discussions, there's been dozens of discussions concerning production codes. Numbers of the form "101" are effectively just episode number designations. -- /Alex/21 01:54, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- I only found this one. According to end credits of the first episode, it was explicitly listed as "Production #101". This isn't original research. — YoungForever(talk) 02:18, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- Production codes are valid per MOS:TVEPISODE. Just because the production code is literally "#101" and not a more complicated number, doesn't mean it can't be included. Drovethrughosts (talk) 12:27, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- Agree with this, and also agree that production codes generally don't need to be listed if episodes always air in "production order". Really, the only cases where there is real value in listing prod. codes is for those shows that air episodes out of production order. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 14:14, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- So, the production codes should only be added once there's a case of episodes airing outside of production order. -- /Alex/21 15:10, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- Actually, I'm not saying that – what I am suggesting is that if you get through, say, an entire season of episodes, and they all aired in production order, then it would be justifiable to remove the 'Prod. codes' column at that point. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 15:18, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- Is there a reliable source stating that they'll be airing out of production order at anytime? If not, then at this time, the addition of them (until such an event occurs or source is provided) will provide no further value to the article. What does 101 currently provide? -- /Alex/21 15:35, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- There isn't; but generally, serialized shows air in production order. Shows that air out of production order is more common on broadcast network television, specially sitcoms or procedurals. User:YoungForever is within their rights to restore the production codes because it's supported by MOS:TV. If you're adamant about their removal, you're going to have to gain a consensus for the removal whether it's here or better yet, at MOS:TV. Drovethrughosts (talk) 20:03, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- You didn't answer my latter question. What does 101 currently provide to the article? Or is it undue weight on one production code? -- /Alex/21 00:43, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Often, but not always – Legacies season 1 is an example of a "serialized TV show" that didn't air in production order. But, yes – it's a much bigger issue with, for example, sitcoms, esp. those from the 1980s and 1990s. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 03:08, 19 August 2020 (UTC)

Agree with the judgment of editors that "101," "102," etc., all airing in order, doesn't add to the understanding of a/this series and should be excluded. -- Wikipedical (talk) 14:56, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- Agree with Alex 21 that production codes should not be included unless (and also until) a series has aired episodes out of order. To be honest, I'm not sure even then they warrant inclusion as really, episodes airing out of order could be discussed in the "Production" section and it's not clear laypeople will be able to look at an episode table and discern that episodes have aired out of order just by looking at production codes. Obviously most of us who edit these articles can but I would argue we're not representative of a general reader. —Joeyconnick (talk) 20:04, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
