Lovers' Rock (film) → Lovers' Rock (1964 film) – There's some debate going on Talk:Lovers Rock (2020 film) about where that film should be, and will link this there too to make sure there is some coordination, but cannot see in any circumstances how ' which is grammatically required in both titles and is only a trivial STYLISM whether present or absent, is enough to indicate "1964 Taiwanese film" to anyone looking for the new one. - Oppose per WP:SMALLDETAILS. The current name is WP:PRECISE enough and more WP:CONCISE. IMHO there shouldn't be separate RMs running concurrently for these articles, since if both are successful we will have Lovers Rock (film) and Lovers' Rock (1964 film). - Comment. The apostrophe is not necessarily "grammatically required in both titles". It apparently is required for this 1964 film since, besides appearing on the poster (VHS cover?), the plot involves a romantic triangle. But the 2020 film's title refers to the reggae sub-genre, where "lovers" is normally treated as a non-possessive, including in our article and reliable sources such as the New York Times.[1] - Station1 (talk) 06:26, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support per nom, don't think current title disambiguates properly.--Ortizesp (talk) 14:27, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
- Support per above, not finding the apostrophe a compelling differentiator. It's literally four alphanumeric characters and a space more for crystal-clear disambiguation. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 14:36, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nomination, Ortizesp and Erik. If WP:SMALLDETAILS were to be considered to the full extent, then the main title header should not even be Lovers' Rock (film) but simply Lovers' Rock since it is the sole such title in Wikipedia. Since there does not appear to be consensus at Talk:Lovers Rock (2020 film)#Requested move 27 December 2020 for a move to Lovers Rock (film), it would be best to have the two films at Lovers' Rock (1964 film) and Lovers Rock (2020 film) unless the 2020 film is judged to be the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC which would then result in the two titles being at Lovers Rock and Lovers' Rock (1964 film). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 21:37, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
