Please Use A Better Picture

edit

The current headlining picture of Mae Whitman for this article seems inferior to a majority of ones that can be found on a Google search. Please instead use one of the other pictures, that shows the more natural beauty of Mae Whitman. The current photo hides that behind a lot of extra makeup that seems unflattering to her. Also important since the Wikipedia photo is one of the first image results of Google, but looks unlike all the other Google images. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.54.187.194 (talk) 10:06, 11 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Didn't she also play Yuffie in the English version of Final Fantasy Advent Children? Im pretty sure she did

-She didn't. Christie Carlson Rimano did Yuffie in AC. She did the voice for Yuffie in Kingdom Hearts 2, but she's NOT doing the voice for Tinker Bell in Birth by Sleep. and if she were, there is no official statement saying she is.

Someone shoudl update the picture

Fair use rationale for Image:Maewhitman.png

edit

Image:Maewhitman.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Work on Arrested Development?

edit

Any particular reason this isn't mentioned? She had a relatively major recurring role on the series for a good portion of it's run, and it's arguably one of the bigger name roles she has had. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.77.87.152 (talk) 03:15, 10 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Actor" vs. "actress"

edit

Do we have any reliable sources on how Whitman prefers to self-describe? It looks like most sources use actress, and this is one terms that can run against MOS:GNL. —C.Fred (talk) 02:05, 15 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

@C.Fred I found a Daily Beast article from last year that uses "actor", and an LA Times article from last week also uses it, but that's it. Everything else I saw uses actress and I can't find anything relating to her having a preference à la Cate Blanchett, so I don't see why we wouldn't use "actress" here.
