editIs this person the brother of Liaqat Hayat Khan who was the chief of Punjab Police in 1930s? rueben_lys (talk · contribs) 11:28, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
MVO or LVO
editIn his life-time he would only have used the post-nom MVO, LVO was not introduced until 1984, which should we use in the article? David Underdown (talk) 12:22, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Reg this entry, First: The Tiwanas e.g Malik Umar Hayat Tiwana, Malik Khizar Hayat Tiwana, are NOT related to the Hayats of Wah e.g Sikandar Hyat Khan, Shaukat Hayat Khan etc. In the former, the name 'Hayat' is just incidental, whereas in the latter it is a recognised surname/family name from the 1840s onwards. Someone has asked above about Sir Liaquat Hayat Khan, who was actually a brother of Sir Sikandar Hayat Khan i.e. from the Wah/Khattar family. Sir Liaquat was not chief of the Punjab Police but Chief of Police in Patiala (princely state, attached to Punjab) and later Home Minister there. Second: Some person or persons have been tampering with the text here on this page as well on the one for Khizar Hayat Tiwana, and leaving inappropriate comments, which have removed. If it's ok, am going to keep a watch on these pages too... Regs
