The user:komodograss is the account used by the Equador person whose several accounts were disabled for making promotional contents and violating Wikipedia guidelines again and again. Even this new account is 11 days old. The other accounts have been deleted by the administrators already.

The misuse of the title of Miss Teen International in Equador was publicly mentioned and this Miss Teen International page was tried to be completely written in their name in August 2020.

There were huge trials to make the Wikipedia page theirs and attack Miss Teen International brand.

Please do not entertain people trying to copy the names. Not only this, the Equador based organization has also taken over Miss Teen World Wikipedia page.

I am who can see that you are trying to write about of Miss Teen International and Miss Multinational, owned by the same people and held in India. yahsabaot To be precise about the information, let me tell you that your account was created hours ago and I am aware who you are. I am also aware of several accounts of yours which have been banned permanently. Talking about Miss Multinational article to which I contributed, the page wasn't made by me and I had contributed to the page.

Since the year the competition has started in India, people are trying to take advantage of the brand name. The competition in Equador was named as Miss teenager. After the growing popularity of Miss Teen International held in India, Rodrigo tried to steal all the brand names and award many titles in his pageant where merely 12 countries took part. Such way, many companies try to illegally steal the name all over the world. It doesn't mean all the Wikipedia pages shall be destroyed.

Miss Teen World and Miss Teen Supranational pages need to be reviewed first.

Also, for your information even for Miss Teen Mundial, there are several articles referring it as Miss Teen World.

And, I request the administrators to kindly check all the pages related to Rodrigo Moreira who has tried to steal many brand names and keep renaming the titles to the already established ones.

Without attacking other editors, please explain to the Wikipedia community why you do not want the Ecuador pageant included, despite the Ecuador government's recognition of it as intellectual property of its owner, and instead want the article to mainly promote the India pageant.  Update: According to the Global Brand Database of the World Intellectual Property Organization, the trademark in Ecuador, filed on Feb 21, 2019, is in a "pending/under review" status. It has not yet been officially approved and registered. Therefore, my position has changed and I don't believe the Ecuador pageant should be included in the article until such time that it does get formally approved and leaves pending trademark status. Ecuador and Costa Rica are not members of the Madrid System of international trademark registration. The trademark application in the U.S. was filed on January 24, 2002 and renewed in 2012. The India trademark was filed on July 25, 2016. Because the U.S. pageant owner was first to register, the owner of the India trademark would not and will not be able to file a successful international trademark application that shuts down the U.S. trademark or the pending Ecuador trademark. To summarize: In my opinion at this time, the Ecuador pageant is not notable enough yet to be mentioned in the article (it might cease operation if its trademark is not approved) and the current infobox has no right under rules of WP:NPOV and WP:PROMOTION to display excessive India pageant information as though it is the only Miss Teen International pageant that matters. If the Ecuador trademark is ever approved someday, someone please leave a note on my talk page. I will revise the infox in the days ahead. 5Q5|^✉ These observations are, in my opinion, correct. In her biography published on the Ecuador pageant Official Site we read that Maria Alejandra Royo was born and lives in Panama City Miss Teen International 2020: Maria Alejandra Royo from Panama.

The article needs a correction in the city of origin of the first winner of the contest held in India. Based on the information, we have on December 22, 2018, she was born in Tulancingo, city, located in the southeastern of the state of Hidalgo. [1].

I think that could us change the origin of the title winner, for the city and country where the contest was held, as we can see in the box made for titleholders from 1993 to 2014 or should the situation require, maintain under this format and only add venue of the pageant.

Also Peru and Panama must be added to the list of Countries by winning number.

User:5Q5 There is the misuse of the pageant name in several other countries. I agreed to your edit when you added the USA version. Please note that the pageant in Equador were named as Miss Teenager and hence I have been against the inclusion of the equador version. After the pageant got famous, they changed their name to Miss Teen International. However, I wrote an email to the organizers in India, they have confirmed on opposing the trademark applied to prevent the registered mark in Equador.

In Thailand, china etc Miss Teen International brand have been used. I propose restoring the article to the previous version. There is a conflict of interest with respect to the Miss Teen International page on Wikipedia, so a consensus must be reached in the edition.

Wikipedia is not an advertisement for one company's ownership of a pageant, per WP:PROMO. The term "Miss Teen International" has a long history with different pageants in different countries. I see another editor tried to note its history at one time but most of the material was apparently improperly removed so that the article could promote another version of the pageant. Currently someone in the United States owns active U.S. Trademarks for Miss Teen International, Miss Teen International Pageant, and Miss Teen International Competition. To solve the problem of different pageants, the article should be divided into major sections "United States" and "India" or new articles created Miss Teen International (United States) and Miss Teen International (India). Enrique did not ceded the rights, there is indeed a contest called Miss Teen International in India but this has no relation to the old Miss International in the 1960s or to the contest that started in Costa Rica in 1993. "Mr. Enrique González is alive. I have written to him concerning Indian contest and he said that he never sold or transferred his rights to Nikhil Anand, this would be a scam case, in fact very serious. Gonzalez was in poor health due to his old age, an act that was taken advantage of by the person he claims to be the new owner." I've revised the article to add the U.S. history version of the pageant, but I am not able to comment on the other versions. The U.S. should be listed first because it began in the United States in 1966. The article needs more work. Unfortunately, I have no connection to the beauty pageant industry, so there is not much more I can do except get things started. You did a good job. The information added is correct due the contest started originally in the United States in 1966. It would be a good idea to add the list of pageant winners and information from the international contest held in Ecuador. Remove from history this: "In 2016, Enrique González sold the Miss Teen International franchise to Indian businessman Nikhil Anand." This information is false. There is no official publication on media of the acquisition of the contest in Costa Rica, where the contest was held from 1993 to 2014. Do what you think is best for the article. I'm not fluent in Spanish so my ability to research non-English sources to investigate claims of ownership is limited. There is a placeholder {{Expand-section}} template if you have to delete the entire India section instead of leaving it blank, or just wait until you revise it with corrected material. I notice on the article's left side bar there are links to versions in different languages. Maybe some of them have useful sources that can be cited, or not. Article revised to be neutral

I have just published a major overhaul of the article to bring it into a state of neutrality. Previously, the infobox and content emphasized the India-based Miss Teen International pageant and diminished other versions.

Supporting Wikipedia Policies and Guidelines

• WP:IMPARTIAL: The tone of Wikipedia articles should be impartial, neither endorsing nor rejecting a particular point of view.
• WP:NOTADVERTISING: Wikipedia is not a soapbox, a battleground, or a vehicle for propaganda, advertising and showcasing. ... Wikipedia articles about a person, company or organization are not an extension of their website, press releases, or other social media marketing efforts.
• WP:STRUCTURE: Pay attention to headers, footnotes, or other formatting elements that might unduly favor one point of view or one aspect of the subject, and watch out for structural or stylistic aspects that make it difficult for a reader to fairly and equally assess the credibility of all relevant and related viewpoints.
• WP:OWNBEHAVIOR: An editor reverts justified article changes by different editors repeatedly over an extended period to protect a certain version, stable or not.

The revision as now published eliminates confusion and will allow the article content to be more easily managed and pageant sections extracted for splits into separate articles someday if needed with the main Miss Teen International becoming a disambiguation page. Until then, it is a five-pageants page. No existing references or titleholder names were removed or altered. Some new references were added for the Ecuador pageant. The color of the Ecuador Titleholders list header is Golden Yellow, the same found on its flag. Wikipedia articles are not the place to decide disputes over legal ownership of pageants, so I have separated the titleholders lists of Costa Rica and India into their respective sections. 5Q5 I am closely related to the Indian Miss Teen International and other pageants in Asia. The history of the edits show the frequent edits in the article. I read your opinion on the above topics. The Equador trademark is not the Registered mark. TM is granted immediately and I think, the ecqador version can be added. For now, it would be better to let the article be with the information neutral by mentioning the registered marks. The reference links added to the equador pageant as not from any Big media. Also, as stated by the another user aayat1998, the equador version changed their name several times and no notable source shows the pageant held. The title can also be given just like that and certain articles can be published. I advise to make changes only after certain things are verified and should be concluded if they should be added or not.

• The Equador pageant should be checked if a pageant in the name of Miss Teen International was held. Also, why was the name Miss Teenager named as Miss Teen International.
• Should be checked if the title was just awarded to make money. Many fake titles are awarded across the world.
• The trademark registration should be verified from the government website. Oppositions should be taken into consideration.

There is sufficient evidence cited in the Miss Teen International article that the Ecuador pageant applied for the Miss Teen International trademark in English and is using the trademark. According to this 3 May 2021 article, the Ecuadorian National Service of Intellectual Rights now allows public searches of trademarks (in Spanish). I am not fluent in Spanish but using online translation I was able to search for the mark and confirm that it was granted:

Ecuador is a country that is literally named after the equator (which runs through it) that separates the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere. Articles on the English-language Wikipedia have to be mindful of WP:WORLDVIEW and Wikipedia:Notability is not a level playing field so that countries like Ecuador with a smaller population and fewer media outlets are not intentionally or unintentionally discriminated against and excluded. I would support rewriting the article in the future to make the India pageant the only legitimate Miss Teen International pageant, but for that to be true it would first have to prove it has acquired the rights and history to the four other pageants. Titleholder lists

I am proposing making these changes to the Costa Rica and India titleholder lists:

• Costa Rica: Change the header "City" to "Venue" and add a footnote to indicate "No." means "Number of delegates." Yes, it has a click-on tooltip link but it is a tiny link that either cannot be seen or doesn't work on devices that have javascript disabled. The footnote will help readers to understand that the numbers are not ages.
• India: Change the headers "City" to "Hometown" and "No." to "Age" which is what they are. Hometown and Age is also what is used on the List of Miss Teen USA titleholders so it is not unusual to have this information for winners.
• India: For 2018 winner Odalys Duarte, correct the hometown to "Tulancingo" Mexico, supported by a new reference to replace the current nonworking one [permanent dead link]. The quote in the new source says "Originally from Tulancingo, Hidalgo, 17-year-old Duarte was crowned queen of Miss Teen International."

This is the revision I came up with to update the "by winning number" list.

Any issues? There are definitely U.S. titleholders, but there is not enough information going back to 2002 at the present time to be specific. Who owns the rights to the original Hollywood pageant?

I added a sentence to the Hollwood section of the article with three mainstream news sources that indicate TV producer Al Burton (1928-2019) produced the pageant and it aired on the ABC Television network in the United States. Additionally, but not among the sources used, IMDb has two entries for the 1967 and 1968 pageants. It is difficult to know for certain if Burton created and owned the pageant and went to ABC, pitched the idea, and got a TV distribution deal, or if ABC contacted him with the idea of a new pageant and hired him to organize and produce it. As such, we can't yet say with certainty that Burton was the founder of the pageant, only that he produced it. Interestingly, however, his obituary in Variety says "Burton highlighted young women through his beauty pageants 'Miss Teen USA' and 'Miss Teen International,' which were hosted across the country." There must be some other past write-ups out there about Burton, such as 1960s issues of Variety or The Hollywood Reporter (UCLA Library back issues) that provide a clearer answer. If one of the current Miss Teen International pageants wanted to acquire the rights to the original Hollywood pageant, the first place to inquire would be Burton's heirs, mentioned in his various obituaries. It is possible ABC only owns the rights to the actual TV broadcasts and Burton, the underlying pageant name. Or, it could be a joint ownership of both. It is also possible that long ago before he left the business Burton sold all of his entertainment properties to someone else. If anyone learns for certain (with a citable source) that Burton created the pageant besides producing it, let us know. It would be helpful to the article to mention its founder. I'm going to change my position on something. Previously I wrote that in order to take over the focus of the article and infobox as the main Miss Teen International pageant, you would have to acquire the rights to the four other pageants. I now support the position that acquiring the rights to the founding Hollywood pageant would be enough to earn that honor. The three other competitions could be moved to a new section: "Other pageants using the same name" or something similar. If the rights to the founding Hollywood pageant are ever acquired by one of the three current pageants, please leave a note on my talk page and I will help rewrite the article and infobox, assuming I haven't retired from Wikipedia by then. 5Q5|^✉ 12:24, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

Disambiguation

I need an admin to help us create a disambiguation page to list articles associated with the title and each version contest have your own article to avoid confusion because there are several versions of the contest, some only with Facebook citations, they do not even have their registered brand or website. I feel that some are unfairly taking advantage of the prestige of the pageant and the effort that legally registered pageants such as Miss Teen International have put in. I am not an administrator and am no longer interested in editing beauty pageant articles, but I did suggest above long ago that a disambiguation page was an option to consider. The last time I editied this article there were only three countries with pageants. Now there are six! Check out this disambiguation page as an example: Make Me a Supermodel. You would have to create newly titled articles for a disambiguation page:

• Miss Teen International (Costa Rica)
• Miss Teen International (Ecuador)
• Miss Teen International (India)
• Miss Teen International (Thailand)
• Miss Teen International (United States)
• Miss Teen International (Vietnam)
