Table

edit

Should we list the shorts in a table, as in the Betty Boop article? This list should be more organized if it will stay. PopKorn Kat talk here Stuff I did 00:56, 26 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Pilot

edit

Why is the pilot / first Oswald cartoon under 1928, with a dozen apparently newer than that? It's not the first then is it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.73.70.113 (talk) 22:31, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

(I assume you mean "older than that".) Good question. The article on Oswald the Lucky Rabbit says the pilot, Poor Papa, was initially rejected. Perhaps it was re-released later, after the later shorts proved a success, like was done with the first Mickey Mouse shorts. It would be nice if someone could verify this. --Mepolypse (talk) 22:52, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Disneyshorts.org says that's just what happened. I will add this info. --Mepolypse (talk) 22:53, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Walt in Wonderland book says the same. Amazon link — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.229.6.141 (talk) 12:26, 9 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Found lost cartoons.

edit

Why aren’t all the Winkler Oswald cartoons that were lost for years but eventually found not available to watch? MaxwellWinnie102 (talk) 04:04, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

These include Empty Socks, Neck 'n' Neck, The Ol' Swimmin' Hole, Sleigh Bells, and High Up. MaxwellWinnie102 (talk) 05:31, 7 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Probably, because they are at preservation archives, or their owners are not willing to release them Old toonz fan (talk) 08:21, 20 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
They will Probably be released in the future (ex. "Hold Em' Ozzie), also the shorts you mentioned were Disney, not Winkler, and were released immediately Old toonz fan (talk) 08:26, 20 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Cold Feet drawing

edit

so, the cold feet box mentions this:"A drawing made by the animators attributed to this short shows Oswald playing a radiator like an accordion. This idea never made it to the final cartoon." I found a image of the drawing but I don't know if it is authentic can someone reply with advice. Old toonz fan (talk) 20:02, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
