On 28th August 2021, Pawandeep Rajan was made Uttarakhand’s electoral icon to promote ethical and participatory voting in the upcoming Legislative State elections in Feb 2022.[1] It was announced by the state election commission. Vpaul001 (talk) 18:56, 5 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Replace the redirect with an original article

edit

Pawandeep Rajan is a famous singer and musician of India and has done some notable work outside the Indian Idol season 12. I believe he deserves a seperate article to his name. My appeal is to kindly revert the decision of redirection and restore the previous edit. Matu11 (talk) 16:01, 20 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Requesting a standalone article for Pawandeep Rajan which has been redirected to Indian Idol under notability terms.

An Indian musician and actor who has had pronounced releases from the house of acclaimed Bollywood music directors like Salim–Sulaiman, Himesh Reshammiya, Jeet Gannguli etc, and has several other successful musical pieces under his name as a singer/programmer/composer/arranger. He has performed in over 1200 live shows across 9 different countries. Apart from his musical pursuits, Pawandeep Rajan acted in Mahesh Manjrekar's Marathi Language film named FU: Friendship Unlimited, and Hindi-language war drama streaming-television series for Disney+ Hotstar named 1962: The War in the Hills.

He was appointed as the Brand Ambassador for Uttarakhand's Tourism, Culture, and Arts by the then Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in August 2021. Pawandeep Rajan thus carries an identity above and beyond Indian Idol in the Indian entertainment industry.

Furthermore, Shanmukha Priya, Arunita Kanjilal, and a few other Indian Idol famed contestants from the very same Season 12 that Pawandeep Rajan is the winner of, also have their dedicated articles on Wikipedia. Manik's Wiki (talk) 09:56, 22 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Not done: Just because anything bad exists on this encyclopedia, it is not legit to create a new bad. This is an argument to be avoided. Pawandeep might be notable in next few years, but for now the consensus of the community is against it. ─ The Aafī (talk) 14:46, 22 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Requesting to change this redirect to Indian Idol (Hindi TV series)#Season 12. The subject may or may not be notable enough for their own page, but if a redirect exists at all, it should reasonably be to the most specific location related to the subject, not to a franchise umbrella page.
