• The article doesn't follow WP:LEAD - the lead contains information that are not in the body, such as the description of the discovered as "amateur astronomer" and the date of the discovery of the object. I'd ask the author to ensure that all claims from the lead are mentioned in the body, at which point we could also remove the references in the lead, which are not required for mundane information (no red flags or suprising claims there, I think). --_{Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here} 13:40, 2 May 2026 (UTC)

@JeBonSer: if I promote this, I'm going to have to give it a bit of a trim (and if I didn't, someone else likely would). Would you be satisfied with the following:

Pinging @Alkeralex: for confirmations... Is the recently suggested hook an accurate description of the subject, or is the 1st hook much better than the recent one? JeBonSer (talk) 10:34, 24 May 2026 (UTC)

@JeBonSer: The hook is mostly good, however Pisces VII was not the first object or galaxy discovered in Pisces VII by an amateur astronomer, but rather the first galaxy within the local group. As for Giuseppe Donatiello: he is an amateur astronomer, as he does not do the work professionally or as paid, non-self-employed work.(I'm currently editing on mobile durring a trip so apologies for any typos or format mistakes) Alkeralex(talk)12:30, 24 May 2026 (UTC)
