This appears to be an attempt to create a presumption of controversy, where none exists. People have attempted to explain the distinction between the place of birth and the current place of residence to you, haven't they? Why then must you be obstinate and obtuse? Which word that I used in this edit summary was it you did not understand? I should like to know in what better language would you like it to be put to finally get the point.

Anyone conversant with the subject's early life, by means of a perusal of the reliable sources that have explored the life of the subject, particularly in the wake of the subject's success at the recently concluded Paralympic Games, knows that Pramod Bhagat is a native of Bihar, having born and lived for a while in Hajipur in Vaishali, before moving to Odisha, where he still resides today, at a young age.

These are all well-documented statements setting forth the facts relevant to his life. But it seems you have had a hard time comprehending and coming to terms with the same. More to the point, you have offered nothing to counter the same.

The sources have noted and accorded due emphasis to the same thing,[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] which makes it all the more important for us to take heed of the same, and write about it in the article. Failure to do so would be nothing short of a flagrant non-observance of WP:NPOV, arguably the foremost among Wikipedia's core content policies.

In this context, it appears disingenuous of you to assert what you have done in relation to the subject, not to mention the attempts to upbuild a hollow and false pretense that the assertion is purportedly backed up by a large number of reliable sources by cherrypicking select fragments of the most convenient sources cherrypicked from amongst the gazillion available.

Take your own source in consideration for instance.[8] While you were quick to highlight the line, "badminton player Pramod Bhagat from the state’s Bargarh district clinched gold in the Men’s Singles SL3 badminton event", you purposely choose not to highlight this piece of information you found contradictory from the same article:

Pramod’s father, Kailash Bhagat, who migrated to Odisha from Hajipur village in Bihar’s Vaishali district, used to work as a driver in a rice mill in Attabira. His mother, Kusum Devi, was a homemaker. While Kailsah died after a prolonged illness in 2007, Kusum passed away in 2020.

Thus, this indulgence in cherry-picking of convenient bits and sources, the intentional disregard of information that conflicts with your point of view is most misleading and unhelpful.

No small part of the reason for your obstinate desire to persist in believing otherwise has to do with your miscomprehension of what you read in those sources. The one-liners that you have relied upon to make your point have to be read in the context outlined supra.

So let me get this straight; "hails from" Attabira does not necessarily mean that he was born in Attabira. Neither does one's hometown necessarily mean one's birthplace.

Such descriptions are in fact in line with and consistent with the detailed descriptions found in other sources (supra), for indeed the said region in Odisha is not only the place of his middle and late childhood but also the longest he has lived anywhere. He is still based in Bhubaneswar.

I also find it strange that you have no qualms about undoing other people's well-sourced edits supplying new information, telling them to "go through the references", while not making the slightest effort to take into account or pay heed to the said information borne out by the sources cited next to them.

Often the best course of action to get to the root of an issue is taking a few minutes to look even cursorily over the edits, the statements made and information added, and cross-checking the same with the cited sources rather than edit warring your heart out to obscure and supress well-sourced information that doesn't align with your point of view, as you did.[9] ArvindPalaskar (talk) 06:48, 11 September 2021 (UTC)

Yes, your are right, that was me, I did not understand why people like you remove quotes from references while adding their views and teach about indulgence in cherry-picking.

I am not his neighbor or conversant with the subject's early life. As a Wikimedian I go by sources, as per The Telegraph and ESPN Pramod Bhagat was born at Attabira.

As per Revision history, from 10 Feb. 2020 to 4 Sep. 2021 Pramod Bhagat was from Odisha, Only on 4 Sep. 2021 an IP editor comes to inform through his unreferenced edit that Pramod Bhagat is from Bihar.

I also find it strange that the well-sourced edits are only visible to you like the The Emperor's New Clothes. Please let me know which well-sourced edit I had undone.

Good observation: I am edit warring and suppressing well-sourced information when I revert unsourced content. It is WP:NPOV when others remove/alter sourced statements.

The content remains sourced even now in the article, and more sources have been provided above, clearly establishing the WP:DUE nature of it. But It seems like your comprehension issues are more glaring than that demonstrated above that you seem incapable of comprehending even other people's edit summaries and comments they write and are willing to deny the obvious. This WP:GASLIGHTING has to stop, and so should the willful disregard for NPOV.

While feigning ignorance, disbelief and innocence right here about things you have already done, asking "let me know which well-sourced edit I had undone", refusing ownership of your disruptive edits when even a casual glance at edits like [10] establishes it otherwise.

While you claim to "go by sources, as per The Telegraph", you indulge in gaslighting by refusing to even acknowledge the existence of the multitude of sources already provided, including this detailed piece by the same Telegraph, wherein Bhagat has been unequivocally described as a native of Bihar, who migrated to Odisha in his early childhood. It has been sufficiently demonstrated that the preponderance of reliable sources describes Bhagat in the same vein.

Per the dictates of WP: CONTEXTMATTERS, the context has to be accorded due weightage, and detailed sources have to be preferred over those passing one liners without elaborating on the same. All in all, and as already said, neither of your two sources provide any counter to these multitude of WP:RS already shown above, and nor do you. This is as clear as day.

Sources are conflicting. There are considerable amount of sites which does not even mention his connection with Hajipur, but also only few of them mention Attabira as his birth place like ESPN and Telegraph. (Excluding little known unreliable sources from local media). Also to echo what Arvind said, he 'hails' from Attabira, which does not necessarily mean he was born in that particular place. For now I suggest to just remove the birth place parameter because edit warring is not going to stop anytime soon. Everything has already been set forth in elaborate details by ArvindPalaskar, and no good-quality reliable source has been shown to counter the plethora of high-quality reliable sources provided above clearly setting forth in detail that Bhagat was born in Hajipur and moved to Odisha at a young age. A couple sources passing one-liners stating otherwise are simply muddying the waters and do not suffice whatsoever to counteract the far more reliable and detailed sources. Indeed, the preponderance of sources unequivocally speak in the same vein. If you say it has to be backed with a reliable source, then, ESPN is already there. It may be possible that some media are making unnecessary stories about his moving from Bihar to Odisha. Afterall, atleast one of the two cases has to be wrong :
