I am related to the subject of this article (Rakesh is my father). I had reached out to a creative writing company (Procreative Writers) in January 2020, to assist me in getting a page up on Wikipedia. I found the company by searching for the phrase, "How to get a page up on wikipedia". At the time I was not aware of the Wikipedia policies around paid edits or conflict of interest editing. I paid roughly $600 USD to the company and I am assuming User:DoshNomad was appointed by them to get the article up. On March 22nd MER-C moved the article to drafts and tagged it as SPAM and added the paid edit banner. I now realize that I have violated Wikipedia policies, for which I apologize. I do believe that my father meets the notability requirement to have a biography on Wikipedia and has a number of (non-sponsored, or paid for) media sources that have been referenced. I'm requesting a complete edit of this article, so anything that seems promotional or is advertising be removed and edited from the article. If the consensus is that this does not meet the requirements, then let's delete the post.
The Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use require that editors disclose their "employer, client, and affiliation" with respect to any paid contribution; see WP:PAID. For advice about reviewing paid contributions, see WP:COIRESPONSE.
@Sidwahi:. Hello, welcome to wikipedia. As humans, we make mistakes and learn from them. Your COI edit request is not specific and appears to be a cleanup request. So I put this draft up on clean up for removing promotional content and additional citations for verification.
The Cleanup project does not really do drafts, certainly not COI drafts, so Can I Log In's request was not acted upon and will not be acted upon. Sidwahi, I'm afraid you will have to trust that if your father is notable, someone will eventually create an article about him, perhaps after coming across this draft. Trying to make it happen sooner will probably fail. Sorry. Kind regards from PJvanMill (talk) 23:27, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@KartikeyaS343: Hi User:KartikeyaS343. Thanks for your edits. Please can you request a review / submit for review? Does that violate a COI if I did it?
