Addition of “In God We Trust” Controversy

edit

Hi! I’m looking to add a section about the debate of the motto “In God We Trust” in the context of separation of Church and State under the “Interpretive Controversies” section of this article. The exactly size of the subsection is unknown at the moment, but it will probably be about 5-10 paragraphs. Does anyone feel that this doesn’t belong and I should edit another Wiki article, or is this okay? Thank you! 172.99.58.62 (talk) 20:17, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

I think that it belongs but IMO that 5-10 paragraph range includes possibilities that are too large. North8000 (talk) 20:28, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

point of view on interpretive controversies

edit

In the section on modern interpretation, neutrality is particularly critical. It might be better to fold this in with the article on Accommodationism. Or this could be revised for a more concise overview of the specific issues in recent cases and debate on the disestablishment principle and free exercise principle.
