Consensus per this RfC closure and this RfM closure is to use "the Beatles" mid-sentence. |

Moved from article
editApparently Ashley herself is the one who claims this, and another girl has claimed to have been the inspiration of the song (see the "Songfacts" site which has both stories). There's no quote by a Beatle to confirm any of this here, the quotes by Lennon and Harrison seem to contradict it, if anything. So I think this needs to be supported by a more reliable source. --194.145.161.227 16:00, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
A fan named Diane Ashley found a ladder in McCartney's garden and used it to climb up to the bathroom window, which was slightly open. "I was the one who climbed up and got in," she says. Diane was surprised to have become the subject of a Beatles song. "I didn't believe it at first, because he'd hated it so much when we broke in. But then I suppose anything can inspire a song, can't it? I know that all his neighbours rang him when they saw we'd got in and I'm sure that gave rise to the lines, 'Sunday's on the phone to Monday/Tuesday's on the phone to me'."
Hi yes that's true about Diane Ashley. My name is Charlotte Hamblyn I'm her daughter she's now married to my dad John Hamblyn. Iv tried editing the post but it seems to change back within a matter of days. Iv edited it again and explained to wiki the problem and provided the direct quotes from Steve Turners book A Hard Days Write. Hopefully it will stay changed! I think it's terrible people can just make things up out of thin air, my mum never even heard of a Jessica Samuels. CharlotteRoseAshley (talk) 11:51, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
Title capitalization
editThe word "in" in the title is being used as an adverb, not a preposition. As such, it should be capitalized as "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window". I don't know how to go about changing such a thing. Funkeboy (talk) 21:40, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
Some wrong info?
editThe page says that George plays bass guitar, but in "Personnel", it says no such thing. What's up with this? Arno Sluismans (talk) 23:52, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
That would be impossible for Paul and George to swap roles (Paul on lead guitar and George on bass), since "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window" was recorded with "Polythene Pam" as one song, so it was more than likely that Paul was on bass and George was on lead guitar - their usual instruments.60.240.8.249 (talk) 05:19, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

She Came in Through the Bathroom Window → She Came In Through the Bathroom Window — The word "in" is being used as an adverb, not a preposition, so the proper capitalization is "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window." — SebastianAreI (talk) 03:19, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi, all. As far as I'm concerned, this page should have the following letter case in its title: "She Came In through the Bathroom Window":
- She: pronoun and first word
- Came: verb
- In: adverb, or second word in compound verb
- through: preposition
- the: article
- Bathroom: first part of compound noun, or adjective
- Window: second part of compound noun, or noun, and last word
We don't have to give in to the idea that short words, and adverbs that are spelled the same as prepositions, have to be lowercased; we also don't have to capitalize longer prepositions just because they're long. — President Lethe (talk) 23:50, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
2 Part Medley?
editAt the end of the song, it fades with nothing coming with :03 seconds left. Then Golden Slumbers comes in on the next track which starts a 3 song medley. If you have the CD version of this, burn this song & Golden Slumbers to iTunes or something & play the last 10 seconds of this song. There's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING playing with :03 Secdonds left. P.S.
