Incomplete History
editArticle mentions an earlier station with no other details. Edwin Course's "London Railways" has "Stonebridge Park 1875-1902, not open continuously", so the article needs revision.--SilasW (talk) 20:56, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
Edit of 1 July 2009
editTrying to read article revealed repetitions and inconsistencies which I've tried to lose without supersuccess. Quite how many stations there were is unclear, ¿¿one 1875-1902, one 1902-1912, one 1912 to WWII destruction, one "built after war by LMS" (whose post-war, pre-nationalisation life was brief)??. UL Lines to lines. Delinked dates. &c &c.--SilasW (talk) 15:18, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Cleaned up
editSeveral odd statements had entered this article which I've cleared out or corrected.
It takes its name from the nearby junction named Stonebridge Park, which links the A406 (North Circular Road) and A404. I have tried to find any verification for this statement. It appears clear that the junction is rarely called Stonebridge Park and that any such usage postdates the 1875 naming of the station.
Due to its proximity to the Jubilee line stations, it is sometimes used during weekend engineering works as a terminus for rail replacement bus services, despite the fact that the Jubilee Line does not actually stop at Stonebridge Park. The station is not near the Jubilee Line stations and rail relacement bus services for the Jubilee Line do not call there.
Location Confusion. The station is technicially located in Tokyngton. Stonebridge Park is the name of the nearby junction. On the OS map, the station is located exactly on the boundary of Tokyngton and Stonebridge. The station's postcode is NW10, which is the postcode of Stonebridge. Although as the station is located in Argenta Way, the street-name sign tells us that the postcode is HA9, which is Wembley's postcode. This confusion has been here for a very long time. There are no plans by TfL in renaming the station Confusion only exists if one expects tight linkage between station names and electoral ward boundaries. This section was marked as Original Research in January 2010 but has not been verified.
Future Developments. The proposed West London Orbital will call... This is a proposal which may have no future at all. The title is inappropriate and the use of "will" inaccurate. Lengthy description of the proposal is unnecessary as it has its own article NebY (talk) 15:18, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
Update of annual entry and exit
editI have filed a request under the freedom of information act to receive the annual entry and exit for the years 2010, 2011 and 2012. I shall update when TFL get back to me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LiamAbrahams (talk • contribs) 00:06, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
- @LiamAbrahams: Did you ask for the figures for Stonebridge Park alone, or the whole of London Underground? --Redrose64 (talk) 09:47, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
- @Redrose64: Originally I only asked for Stonebridge Park, but I realised most of the stations don't have up to date figures, so I have requested info for all stations now.
- It might be worth informing the relevant WikiProjects (for example WT:UKRAIL), since there may already be an established procedure for obtaining the information. --Redrose64 (talk) 14:09, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
- Other Wikipedia articles such as Bond Street tube station reference http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/multi-year_station-entry-and-exit-figures.xls which includes figures for Stonebrisge Park for 2007-2012. NebY (talk) 14:18, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
