Resolution 720p?
editWill it be 720p on consoles? Recent rumors say not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.118.10.62 (talk) 09:32, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- The back of the PS3 box says 720p, as does my Sony Bravia. 86.14.47.193 (talk) 23:36, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
New Characters
editI think we should split up the playable characters with the non playable characters —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.55.202.251 (talk) 02:51, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
console realese dates
editAlright, this is starting to piss me off. will SOMEONE make up there bloody minds as to what CONSOLES Tekken 6 (this one and B-R) will be realesed on? are BOTH versions gonna be realesed for the Playtstation 3, XBOX 360 and PSP . or is one of them gonna be realsed EXCLUSSIVELY to any of those consoles? this is getting cofusing enough as it is!
P.S: posted this on the Bloodline Rebellion article as well for other answers -- Angus Nitro 11:54pm, Wednesday 20th may 2009 (UTC)
Panda
editWil Panda be in the Tekken 6 console version? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.55.202.251 (talk) 22:10, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Yes, Panda is in the Tekken 6 console versions as proven by YouTube videos of Panda's ending.
realese date
edithttp://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=75109 says the psp version is going to be realesed on november 3 2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.162.246.75 (talk) 22:28, 15 June 2009 (UTC) Yeah but now it says 11/24/09 so it may change more so its still not official. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Master King (talk • contribs) 00:01, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
Console Only Characters?
editI thought the PSP version was going to feature all the updates of Bloodline Rebellion PLUS extra stuff not found in the console version. If Alisa and Lars are console only characters then shouldn't there be a link posted?
ASmiley (talk) 14:51, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
Its already been made crystal clear and should've been edited by now. Tekken 6 isn't coming to any consoles or handhelds. Only Bloodline Rebellion is. They're just calling it only Tekken 6 because the regular Tekken 6 is Arcade only.Tekken 6 (BR) is for PS3, 360 and PSP. However the PSP version will differ some from the main console ones.--Anonymous
Lars and Elisa are available in the PSP version of the game. There are screens of them fighting and videos of them.
Not all characters from Tekken 5 and Dr are playable
editJinpachi Mishima isn't playable! He's still a Tekken 5 character! Lasttiger (talk) 20:42, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
He's a boss thats why. You can't play bosses. (Master King (talk) 00:25, 7 July 2009 (UTC))
You can play as him in DR. But not in 5. Lasttiger (talk) 22:31, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- You can play as him in the PlayStation 3 version of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Not the other ones. Erigu (talk) 07:49, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Gameplay Section
editIn my opinion the "Gameplay" section needs to be fixed without having that huge box taking up so much space. Adamdaley (talk) 04:49, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
- I have fixed the box and grammer. The information of the first paragraph needs to be verified against it's sources. Adamdaley (talk) 04:57, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
Negative Reception
editDespite all the good reviews, several fans of Tekken hated this game. I can see why, and although I don't actually hate it, I am disappointed in this installment.
The Top 6 Reasons for negative reception:
1. Horrible Online Lag (although this is being fixed in an upcoming patch for the game).
2. Virtually none of the fighting system changed from Tekken 5.
3. Questionably Long Loading Times.
4. Unfair Boss Battles. Jinpachi from Tekken 5 wasn't too much of a hassle, but if a lot of people are complaining about Nancy and Azazel, then I think the developers went overboard with them.
5. Scenario Campaign (a horrendously long, brutally difficult, and extremely repetitive beat-em-up) being the main portion of the game instead of Arcade Mode, which the game is supposed to be like.
6. Disappointing Character Endings. Face it, there were too many joke endings in the game, and most of them didn't even have anything to do with a character's main story. The endings were OK in Tekken 5, but this is unacceptable.
We put a negative reception portion in the Reception section a while ago, but then Wikipedia deleted it without giving a reason. Normally I like Wikipedia, but I hate when they act like this. I would like a valid reason as to why the negative reception was deleted in the first place, and I would like permission to repost it in the Reception section.
People need to know the bad side of this game. If you need proof of it, ask ANYONE on the Official Namco-Bandai Forums and they'll gladly say why they hate the game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.227.220.139 (talk) 13:21, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Somebody deleted all of that probably because "some fans on a messageboard" has absolutely no encyclopedic value and is not a valid source by any means. If you like this place, you should be aware of how it works, and what it is/isn't. And one of the things it isn't, is a place for a fan or fans to voice their dissatisfaction, valid as it may be. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.210.42.36 (talk) 16:16, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
Now there is a Negative Reception portion in the article, citing the load times, laggy network, and Scenario Campaign. And they all have citation. Now I'm happy, because people need to at least be aware of the game's bad aspects. 66.227.220.139 (talk) 13:28, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
CO-OP
editTekken 6 has co-op just like scenario campaign, i think that shold be included............ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.4.109.214 (talk) 00:08, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
Bloodline Rebellion
editWhy is Bloodline Rebellion merged in T6 article? Both are different games as far as I am concerned. 112.198.79.68 (talk) 15:02, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Mostly Positive vs. Fairly Mixed
editAll of the numbers strongly indicate "mostly positive." By definition, Metacritic aggregates the scores from a number of different sources. That it has an 80 Metacritic score by definition means that, on average, the response has been mostly positive. Similarly, all of the rest of the numbers are over 80%, some as high as 95% on their respective rating scales. Yes, there are complaints (a whole paragraph of them) but the overall tone is more positive than mixed. If you have some sort of numerical or other reliable reason to object, please explain here. Jin's Selfless Act?
editWhoever wrote the last part of the plot summary was obviously a Jin Kazama fanboy. I changed the Nina quote to make it more neutral, actually more accurate to the original ending. Plus, just to free himself of a silly little curse sounded like a pathetic excuse for Jin to cause all that trouble. If you watch this video, Jin talks a bit about how he hated corporate oppression of the people, and I expanded that to make it so he really was working for the greater good.
If you think I'm wrong and delete the addition, please explain why. 66.227.220.139 (talk) 21:30, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Tekken 6's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Cameos
edit@TheKerberos01: Avoid reverting consecutively and avoid discussion. It could lead to a block. The cameo characters don't add anything to the characters section since we only post playable characters. It's pretty much WP:Fancruft as no regular reader would understand how are they related to the game. Same with Tekken 3, and its lack of narrative. Quit it with the reverts considering and lack of comments.Tintor2 (talk) 22:37, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
- It seems to be Gamecruft as it is just Excessive fictional detail listing all of the characters that made a brief appearance. Spy-cicle💥 Talk? 22:49, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
- I will speak later, have just written a long text on another discussion page and have no strength or desire to express myself here. --- TheKerberos01 (talk) 00:50, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- There's no reason to stress over an article like this considering your edit summaries. Think about the guidelines and what articles should be looked as an example to follow. See Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars which became Featured. Better talk with a bigger group here until a consensus is formed.Tintor2 (talk) 00:24, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

I'm gonna review this article. Stay tuned.--TeenAngels1234 (talk) 08:17, 25 September 2022 (UTC) Okay. Sorry, I was busy in RL. So, let's go.
- Are you sure the last part of 'Gameplay' is not more appropriate for 'Development'?
- Done
- "They avoided this for the spinoff Tekken Tag Tournament, which only allowed alternating use of four fighters". Is this really necessary? It seems a bit superfluous.
- Done
- "Preorders ... wireless controller.". Ditto.
- Done
- "Harada referred ... recreation of the arcade game'. Again, these seem to me to be comments that add little of information to the article.
- Done
- I would suggest removing a few names from the list of musicians. Maybe stay only those with wlinks, which seem to me more relevant and encyclopedic to mention.
- Done
- Shiina's appreciative comment also seems unencyclopedic to me.
- Done
- I would shorten some critic's opinions, reducing them to the bone, especially in the first few paragraphs. I would put a few more commas, too.
- Done
@Tintor2:That's all. Good job. Already a pretty good article.--TeenAngels1234 (talk) 11:23, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
@TeenAngels1234: Rearranged most of the content involved the reception too. Thanks for the review.Tintor2 (talk) 18:48, 30 September 2022 (UTC) @TeenAngels1234: Did I miss something by any chance?Tintor2 (talk) 13:04, 2 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: No, no. I'm just still busy. Today I'm gonna read the full article again, and, if nothing emerges, I'll promote it. Don't worry :')--TeenAngels1234 (talk) 13:51, 2 October 2022 (UTC)
- Okay. So:
- "It was compared the style". Maybe 'The style was compared" is better.
- You should correct the following "response".
- "When the work was concluded, Matsuyama was surprised at how well Lars fitted in with the game's cast" sounds kinda trivial to me.
- "However, Harada revealed they had encountered difficulties". Is the 'however' necessary?
@Tintor2: Good work~
@TeenAngels1234: I think I covered anything but can't find that however.Tintor2 (talk) 23:22, 2 October 2022 (UTC)
- Don't worry. Promoted. Good prose, good sources, and good information.--TeenAngels1234 (talk) 00:34, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
