- Comment: I began this article with preliminary edits on Aug 7, but am counting 5X expanded from Aug 9 since the 5X expansion really began that day. Also, will be taking a wikivacation starting Aug 17 and will return Aug 21.
5x expanded by Skyes(BYU) (talk). Self-nominated at 17:44, 16 August 2019 (UTC).
- Plenty long enough with good and cited hooks (AGF on ALT1). I do worry about the timing/7 days, though, and would appreciate if someone more experienced weighed in. QPQ present. If the article is admissible in timing terms, it is good to go. Raymie (t • c) 05:05, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
- I was also unsure regarding the rules about 5x expansion. I wasn't sure if it was when the expansion began or 7 days after the word count was expanded 5 times, even if the editor had made some edits prior. I figured I would try promoting it and see if it was okay. According to the guide Calculating fivefold expansion by hand, I am allowed to count it even if I had started expanding earlier as long as there had been 5x expansion between the most recent version and the one that I chose that was from a later date that was within 7 days.Skyes(BYU) (talk) 19:03, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- According to DYKcheck, the gold standard for checking newness, expansion, and prose size,
Assuming article is at 5x now, expansion began 165 edits ago on August 9, 2019
. So August 9 is considered the start of the expansion for eligibility of this article, even if material had been added in the days before August 9, and as this was nominated within seven days of August 9 on August 16, it qualifies as a new enough 5x expansion. - According to DYKcheck, the gold standard for checking newness, expansion, and prose size,
- Full review needed; article is a valid 5x expansion. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:20, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Raymie: You used this as a QPQ at Template:Did you know nominations/West Point High School (Arizona) so will you finish this review? SL93 (talk) 14:41, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for pinging me — I had not seen the post from the other day. My review was a full review pending that last question; the article is new enough, plenty long enough, and the hooks all work out (AGF on ALT1). Plus, there's a QPQ. This is ready. Raymie (t • c) 16:59, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
