Arrested?

"Game was arrested on January 27, 2006 in Queens, NY, on charges of first degree murder in an incident involving Lloyd Banks mother, Ya-Quisha Banks."

^^ I know quite recent, but cant find any sources or anything. Can anyone confirm? Tutmosis 02:48, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

we should move that to the rumor section because i havent found it either --WeedBoy5708 01:18, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

YA-QUISHA! nice touch

A Final Notice

I know a lot of fans out there supporting or criticizing The Game. I am one of those fans. I know we want to keep the articles in the utmost condition without adding rhetoric and opinion. The situation with vandalism is very continuous. The situation is getting above the mere adding open opinion. Now the people are adding pictures and taking out content and misrepresenting information. I warned the critics and some fans, that your unecessary edits are going to be reported and I mean reported. I want to be clear this is the last time. I not going to revert anything. I want to be clear, I am not reverting anything back... I am leave it like it is! Ok but make note, I will check this article time after time and I promise you that if any formation possed a vandalism, you will be reported as soon as possible! Thanks. LILVOKA. 21 September 2005.

Question 1. I heard the game went to school in the Antelope Valley is this true?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.163.0.36 (talkcontribs)

MostWanted05 got banned from wikipedia, so he won't be able to answer your queastion. But no he did not go to school in the Antelope Valley. He went to school in Compton, California and Carson, California.--Ted87 23:27, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Well Done

To everyone who has helped contribute to the game's wikipedia page. There is always more to be done so keep a look out for any information. I myself have added a much needed "Whats next?" column in the page to let people be aware of what he is currentley doing and going to do in the the near future, sought of a "news" column.

New version 2005-09-16

I revamped the existing article, correcting spelling, punctuation, and grammar, and establishing a more neutral, professional, and encyclopedic tone throughout. I tried to remove claims that were unsupportable, but in general the article lacked dates and citations and I left in a lot of information in spite of its uncited status. This article still needs a lot of help, notably in two areas: 1. It lacks dates and citations. Many of the feuds etc. are difficult to understand because the chronology is lacking. 2. The article focuses way too much on the rapper's feuds and not enough on his music. A large section analyzing his music's style and content is clearly in order. Tcassedy 19:39, 16 September 2005 (UTC)

Criticism of the article (2005-07-27)

Terrible article, the word choice at the beginning makes me think it was written by someone anti-Game. Phrases like "his Grandmother claimed he was for anything", frequent mention of 50 Cent being his mentor (untrue statement no one has ever referred to 50 as a mentor of Game). He has had no part in games maturity as a person or a rapper, his only mentor is his brother Big Face 100 and Dr. Dre. The statement in parentheses (with the first two featuring 50 cent) is unnecessary and further proof that the writer is anti-Game. Part of the feud with 50 is that 50 claims to be a majority of the reason Game's record sold as he is on many of the singles...this is obuj tug cfvhfxdvfrghtrwy 3453 viously just added in as an insult. Someone actually inchbsxluded a picture of game on the show change of heart, no other pictures were included on the controversy section. This is obviously an unnecessary shot being taken atfdh game by whoever wrote this portion of the article as the picture is in reference to such a small and unimportant incident. I clarified by adding games retaliation to the picture.

Game is no longer officially part of G-Unit but he is still listed as being so. Jay-Z and game have long since settled their dispute but he is still listed as a rival. Also game has become embroiled in beef with new roc-a-fella members which I have added to the list.

The writer includes a claim of yukmouth promising proof that game is was a male stripper and he had proof he would release. This statement is old and the claim was never backed up so I deleted it. The article also talks of an altercation between g-unit member spider loc and yukmouth, which has nothing to do with games feud with him. It also doesn’t state that the feud is over. The joe budden section is full of biased statements and missing a lot of details about the feud

A lot of the article places an even that happened in the past after an even that already happened, making it seem like those events happened after. There is no feud between game and murder inc. the only statement game ever made was a one liner about ja rule in two songs, to which no member of murder inc. ever responded. After game left G-Unit records whatever slight beef there may have been was over and Murder Inc. fans even frequent Game’s BWS forums. It is unnecessary to even include this in the article.

The roc-a-fella section lists jay-z as a current enemy and doesn’t clarify that the feud is over. It also fails to mention young gunz. This section is completely out of order in terms of sequence of events and completely ignores the fact that the feud is settled. It states that game is the fifth member of g-unit, but there are only four members, game wasn’t a member of the rap crew just signed to the record label itself according to an offical BWS statement release not long after the joint venture was signed. I took out the rumor about mobb deep joining black wall street because they were recently seen wearing Game Over shirts in a video with 50 Cent.--DeathValleyTigers 13:14, 27 July 2005 (UTC)

Please be bold and make any improvements necessary to the article! It's great that you took the time to lay out your concerns so clearly, but you should feel free to apply that effort directly to the article instead. For what it's worth, I don't know anything about rtyesr 6usryyThe Game; I just watch this article to try and keep down the amount of vandalism. If I had the knowledged to contribute directly, I would. :)HorsePunchKid 18:36, July 27, 2005 (UTC)

Older criticism

This article is not up to Wiki standards. It has grammatical errors, uses slang in an unprofessional way, lacks dates, and does not cite sources. Tcassedy 23:08, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I agree. I have absolutely no knowledge whatsoever about The Game, so I don't feel comfortable editing it myself, but phrasing like "The Game, a former gangbanger who turned to rap after being shot five times and left for dead, is about peace not war. Working closely with Dr. Dre on his debut album; This Game is for real" does not belong in any Wiki article. Someone please clean up. 80.217.216.57 21:11, 2 November 2005 (UTC)

Someone took the cleanup boilerplate away for reasons that are unclear to me. I have added it back in. This is a quote from the article: "Apparently signing rapper Vita to his own label ,The Black Wall Street Records, was the reason why Murder, Inc had a grudge against The Game." This contains several grammatical errors, a punctuation typo, lacks links to the appropriate items, and entirely lacks the necessary information, such as when the grudge existed and how it was manifested. This is just one sentence. There are problems like this all over the article. Please do not remove the cleanup boilerplate until such problems are removed. Tcassedy 05:32, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I don't understand why someone took the cleanup boilerplate down. The article is even worse than before. It includes the word "wit" (for "with")! Now there are Wiki errors all over it (the links are messed up) and the weird introductory section has changed slightly for the worse. (For example, it uses an ampersand for no reason.) Please fix this page. Tcassedy 11:46, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

This article needs help!

Tcassedy is right. This article needs someone who knows the subject matter better than I do to do some housecleaning and make a lot of improvements.

In the "50 Cent and G-Unit" section

It says "at Summer Jam in New York." If the person who wrote this is talking about the Summer Jam run by Jamn 94.5, then that took place in Boston at the TD Banknorth Garden (formerly the FleetCenter) this past weekend. I am not going to make any edits, because I am not sure if this is referring to a different Summer Jam. I ask whoever wrote this to please clarify. --Mjp797 20:04, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)

It was the Hot 97 Summer Jam... I cleared this up, and clarified that it was at Giant's Stadium in New Jersey. I also added a couple of details but didn't know how to link to a source (the source is http://www.allhiphop.com/hiphopnews/?ID=446). As for cleaning up this page, you have to understand that for those of us who like rap it is difficult not to use terms like beef, "called out", and other slang, because that's the vocab that is used to describe the events by those in them, and most of the people interested enough to write about them. However, since I do think myself capable of writing in "proper" english, I will attempt to clean this site up over this week.

Words like "beef" and "called out" are not the problem. The problem is poor grammar, a generally undignified tone, and a lack of information and organization. The sentence I cited before -- "Apparentl50's a bitchy signing rapper Vita to his own label ,The Black Wall Street Records, was the reason why Murder, Inc had a grudge against The Game." -- is, for example, still there. The Response to 300 Bars from Rivals

(Added By MC Stoney) The beef Is Furthering As The Game Has Released Two Mixtapes both by Black Wall Street DJ's "Dj Skee" and "Nu Jerzy Devil" 1."U Know What It Is Volume.3" And the latest one 2." Ghost-Unit" Both depicting and dissing 50 Cent And His so-called G-Unit's (Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Buck And Olivia).

The First Mixtape " U Know What It Is Volume 3" was released on 22nd of June 2005 consisting of 22 tracks featuring The Game and his members from Black Wall Street dissing G-Unit to the fullest. Some Examples Of Disses are: saying that 50 Cent has used Steroids to build his body and his whole crew are not gangsta's. Olivia is depicted very badly as she is called a man with fake breasts. File:Http://images.juno.co.uk/full/CS188243-01A-BIG.jpg. This information is incorrect. Calling "U Know What It Is Vol. 3" the first mixtape is incorrect. There are definitely mixtapes preceeding this; obviously, "U Know What It Is" Vol. 1 and 2. Vol. 2 was released on September 24, 2004.; unfortunately, I cannot state when Vol. 1 was released at this time. (added by Nickles)

The second Mixtape " Ghost Unit" released on 31st August 2005 prior to Tony Yayo's "Thoughts Of A Predicate Felon". Again this mixtape disses G-Unit as being jokes/snitches and waanabe gangstas. Again, it is incorrect, not to mention inconsistent, to label "Ghost Unit" as the second mixtape. (added by Nickles)

File:Http://store1.yimg.com/I/2for10 1862 57552674.jpg

So far their hasnt been any strong replies from 50 Cent Except For "300 Shots" which isnt really a good reply at all because this one has like 8-9 g unit members including the new Sign In's "Mobb Deep, "M.O.P" and " Mase" trying to diss the enemies and making it a come-back to 300 Bars. Whereas The Game himself dissed g-unit in 300 Bars and the track being 18 Mins long. So far too me The Game Is winning this beef but who knows whats still to come... (Added By Stoney)

In response to 'So far their hasnt been any strong replies from 50 Cent Except For "300 Shots" ,' 50 Cent has released a song titled "Not Rich, Still Lyin'" on ShadyBlock Presents - The ShadyMath Mixtape Vol.2 (Hosted Busta Rhymes), 2006; it is the 18th track on the mixtape and is apparently appearing on 50 Cent's third album Can't Stay Away, which he is planning on releasing July 18th, 2006. (Added by Nickles)

Also, it says that the Game won the feud, that isn't true, it isn't even over or decided yet. We probably won't truly know until the new albums come out. If you ask me, all those mixtapes and disses don't tell me that he won, it just tells me he made a lot of disses. Just remove the sentence sayin game won.

Is it "Game" or "The Game"?

I've heard both used by many people. Does anybody what it really should be? Xunflash 03:44, 29 July 2005 (UTC)

The Game is the official name, but on iTunes, recently they've been calling him "Kris De Troch"? Mets15

I Think they call him Kris De Troch on iTunes because he does not want to be affiliated with aftermath and his name under the aftermath is The Game so he is using a different name. CheezyBurrito

He is no longer called Kris De Troch on iTunes. 24.90.128.71 18:34, 28 August 2005 (UTC)

Kanye Cracks Music on The Game

Stimulated Ltd. has came to the conclusion of the missing verse "Crack Music" from the Late Registration from rapper/producer Kanye West. Despite the verse being hot, The Game is still taking shots at 50 Cent, and Kanye West didn't want to bring that to the table. Although, rappers beefing is considerable of both The Game and 50 Cent, Kanye didn't want to be a part of it. He had interest in working with Eminem and Dr. Dre. The Game is angry with Kanye and hopefully will release a diss directed to him and 50 Cent.

300 Bars and Runnin songs

What is the name of all the songs used in 300 bars and the artist.

^^These are not all the songs, but it is better than none.

Jay-Z: Take Over, Mobb Deep: Shook Ones pt. II, Dr. Dre: Keep Them Heads Ringing, Lloyd Banks: Im So Fly, 50 Cent - Lil Bit, Jay-Z: Dead Presidents II, Notorious B.I.G.: Who Shot Ya, Kanye West: Diamonds are Forever, Jay-Z: Brookyn's Finest, Junior M.A.F.I.A.: Get Money, Eazy-E: Real Muthaphuckkin G's (added by Nickles)

a couple other songs are: Real motherfucking G's by Easy-E,a sped up versian of Ennio Morricone's The good the bad and the ugly,Ecstacy of gold, the bridge is over by KRS-one,Dear summer by Jay-Z, and Dead presidents by Jay-z

G-unot

I feel that this is a big topic in The Game's career and does not need its own column in the page with pics to display the logo.

I have rewritten the above opinion due to the grammatical errors. I have also deleted the subjective statement that does not contribute to the overall content on the Talk Page. (modified by Nickles)

More OPINION Than Fact

I know I'm gonna get a lot of flask for this, but I think there's a VERY valid reason to remove the DVD material from the article. I think that the last part of this article talks more like its a promotion of the DVD than it is an actual article belonging to a respectable encylopedia:

"In "Stop Snitchin - Stop Lyin," The Game candidly talks about his rap career, personal life, ex-label mates, and exposes the truth about the fall out with his former crew with help from the Black Wall Street camp and numerous other celebrities. There are no secrets kept inside this DVD, The Game exposes the whole truth and then some along his mission to hunt down "five-0" that takes him from Los Angeles through New York City (including a stop to the G-Unot billboard in Jamaica Queens), finally ending in Farmington, Connecticut outside of 50's house in a final show down between The Game against the unit you must see to believe!"

How the heck does someone actually know that, "There are no secrets kept inside this DVD," as "The Game exposes the whole truth," for a DVD that hasn't even been released yet?! It seems to me that someone simply wanted to add this and it rings as some sort of promotion for the new DVD coming in January, so they just COPY&PASTED a synopsis from the internet of what would probably appear on the back of a DVD box.

I don't think this belongs to a POV violation, because it obviously is not a bias, but the fact of the matter is, Wikipedia IS NOT AN INTERNET BLOG SITE to promote records and DVD releases, and what IT IS, is an actualy encyclopedia! Encyclopedias do not have promotional material that looks like it was COPY&PASTED from the back of a DVD box set. I think this type of writing really doesn't qualify as encyclopedic, and it kinda seems like it really belongs to some internet blog, rather than as a WIKIPEDIA entry. It should probably be shortened and only what is factually known about the DVD should remian, rather than what is essentially heresay and the "copy-pasted" promotional material for the DVD release--which exists essentially to stir people to buy the record.

i'd say that's exactly POV. if it promote a certain viewpoint (such as that a DVD is good, contains the whole truth, holds nothing back, and is therefore worth buying), it is EXACTLY not neutral-point-of-view. but that's just my two cents. --jfg284 you were saying? 01:17, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

Marvelous...now we have people that just want to swear and make insults. I think what that person who just wrote "the game is the best f*ck 50" and many others don't realize, is that THIS ISN'T YOUR BLOG SITE!!!! I don't care what YOU think about rap music, I don't care who you want to side with. If you somehow find your identity with the music of some person than fine, write about how great he is and how everyone who doesn't like him can f**k themselves, but THIS IS AN ENCYLOPEDIA you pea-brain! It doesn't exist to validate your beliefs and it doesn't exist to validate your opinions. You can do that anywhere your want: go write an internet blog or something. This is meant as an actual encyclopedia, and its the best in the world, because in a world where all the encyclopedias, books, TV, newpapers and all media in general is owned by a bunch of rich, fat guys with distinct opinions and the goal of forcing those opinions and ideology upon others, this is one of the few places that is niether owned by anyone, nor under the control of any ideology. It's an encyclopedia, a storehouse of knowledge. Please do not ruin it. Do not vandalize it just because you can: just because this site exists for the people, by the people.

If you need people to listen to you so badly, then create your own blog and just let loose. And if you're so needy for attention that you want to make opinions on a site where people actually go and not your shallow blog site filled in an ocean of shallow blog sites, than do that somewhere else. Do not ruin such a wonderful site.

What's does it take to do a better article?

I guess we'll never know! We'll keep adding nonsense, vandalism, opinion, unconfirmed facts, uncited sources, etc.. The whole bang! Now it's time to be serious! AftermathGame.com

Why does the link to the fansite AftermathGame.com keep getting removed? Simple question, but one which I cannot find an answer for.

Cheers

If you have a problem with me cleaning up the articles you seem to leave back with the empty sections, the added opinion, the bad grammar, and so on and so on....You seriously need to go back and pick up that dictionary that you left at the bottom of your backpack and learn how to write a good article. Oh yeah, how about leaving an account seeing that your a user who chooses to use many ip numbers when leaving inflamatory messages about me and the other users on WIKIPEDIA. LASTLY, no one knows who Brazil and Wilmington are, the date of Stop Snitchin' Stop Lyin' is, and the life of Jayceon Taylor, other than himself. So whatever you decide on putting in here with the The Game article among others, I will check each of them and then decide whether should revert it or edit it. Whatever it takes. Oh yeah, YOU DO NOT OWN THIS PAGE THEREFORE, YOU "DO NOT" HAVE THE RIGHT OT EDIT PEOPLES POSTS AND INFORMATION THAT ARE CORRECT AND ARE NEEDED IN THIS TOPIC. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO DELETE CORRECT POSTS, THIS IS CLASSED AS VANDALISM! IF THIS PAGE CARRY'S ON GOING BACK TO "YOUR" PAGE AND NOT THE PEOPLES, THEN NOT ONLY WILL I INFORM AN ADMIN, BUT THE GAME HIMSELF, TO SOUGHT THIS OUT!-----Remember that when you post messages. Thanks LILVOKA!

Hahahaha ok, it wasn't me who wrote up there, but yo, lilvoka... not only are you retarded but chill. And don't be hypocritical, I mean you tellin this cat to go get the dictionary he left in his backpack when you're sayin you gon talk to Game himself to "sought" this out... the word is "sort" buddy. And you're retarded because Brazil and Wilimington are streets in Compton. However, you're right, that no one knows the entire life of Jayceon Taylor, and that includes you. There are certain embarassing things that have come out recently about Game that you refuse to allow on the site, such as he having a tongue ring, being a stripper, and even his butterfly tattoo it seems you won't allow on the site. Look all I'm sayin is you need to chill, this ain't your site either even though you have a say in what goes up. Also, I'm sure if I were to post messages slurring the Game, and you ran and told him, he would not give a fuck... Even if he did care, what is he gonna do about it? Cry, like the girl he is? Aight lilvoka, I hope you've realized some things today, like wikipedia shouldn't be your life, this is a forum for everyone, not just you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.97.7.153 (talkcontribs)

Actually him having a toungue ring and getting a butterfly tattoo are both in the article. Him being a stripper isn't in there because there is no actual proof. It's easy to beilive because so many people say it, but not a single piece of actual proof exists. None the less the article does mention how 50 Cent put his head onto a stripper body for one of the mixtapes. --Ted87 19:56, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

They're listed as only speculation, not as fact, as they should be.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.97.7.153 (talkcontribs)

In regards to the tattoo the article says "...as well as the Dodgers' "LA" logo tattoo below his right eye, covering a previous tattoo of a butterfly." As for the tongue ring it does bring it up as an accussation, but doesn't say wether he actualy got one, which might need to be changed because I'm pretty sure The Game admited to it. I'll look it up. --Ted87 01:01, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Why are fansites not allowed to be linked to?

In my opinion they present a wealth of information and are great resources for Game fans can get the latest news, interact with other fans and so on. Why this page in particular forbids fansites and where in wikipedia guidelines is this rule stated? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.140.41.61 (talkcontribs) 00:55, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

People like to add crappy sites into the external links section. I don't see the problem though as long as the sites are good, and we don't have 20 fansites clogging up the list for no purpose. - Stoph 04:25, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

LIKOVA constantly removing a fansite link?

Despite there being no guidelines against fansites being posted, it seems Likova has a problem as the link to AftermathGame.com is constantly being removed. Can anyone explain why the member would continue doing such a thing and if there is any means of preventing this?

Children/Family

Any information on the internet about his children or family. Maybe this could be added to this article. Thanks. Cant find anything myself though. Tutmosis 02:43, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

I know one of his (half?) brothers was shot dead. His dad is half Spanish half Indian, although I don't know where I'm going to get a source on it because he only mentioned it on his forum. In "The Documentry" pamphlet he says his mom raised 4 kids, which woud imply he has 3 siblings. He says in an interview is was an orphan at age 7. He also spent a lot of his childhood raised in Carson, California (also in one of his interviews). As far as his child, Game said on "106 & Park" that he named his son after the Harlem section of New York. His son was born on June 30th according to the song "Like Father Like Son." In the same song (and in an interview) he states that the basketball player Baron Davis is his son's god father. I'll get some of the relevent info's sources (along with other info) if LILVOKA says he won't delete it just because he dosen't think it's relevent (or I'll just wait till he "retires from wikipedia" in April ;)). This page is way too concerned about Game's beef and not much is said about him and his music, which I think needs to be changed. Ted87 07:00, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
What a happy coincidence! I just found a new interview that confirms most the stuff I'm saying. Ted87 23:15, 20 March 2006 (UTC) http://www.hurricanegame.us/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=89
There I added information. I accidently did it as an anonymous user though :(. 209.129.16.5 23:49, 20 March 2006 (UTC) aka Ted87
LILVOKA why did you delete that info I put on there? That stuff ain't copyrighted because he's said most that stuff in other interviews. It's just personal info. Please help me with the rationale here. Ted87 03:22, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
LILVOKA when you origanly reverted my edits you said this was the reason "Used copyrighted information in summary. Not acceptable."
  1. It's not in summary. It's in the biography SECTION.
  2. The info I provided is sourced.
  3. It's called "Fair use" This not-for-profit use on the web constitutes a 'fair use' of the copyrighted material as provided for in section 107 of the US Copyright Law. No copyright infringement intended. This certainly meets Wikipedia standards.
—This unsigned comment was added by Ted87 (talkcontribs) .

There is one thing that bugs me and...

..it's the fact that we have users who put down information without citing sources. I know we value the information on The Game. Let's realize that when information is valued and appreciated, it's not confirmed and like the issue with Shyne, the information is false. I suggest that if information is needed go to sites that are not fanbased! I would rather go through the newspapers and official websites that offer daily information on The Game. So therefore, we'll get more information that is proven true. So when the information is placed in the articles related to G-Unit, The Game and 50 Cent, are proven true, it can be included in Wikipedia! Thanks LILVOKA

I'll be honest, I write information down and don't cite it, not because its untrue... but because I don't know how the hell to cite it. And its not such a big deal to me that Game gets exposed on wikipedia, so I'm not gonna bother learning how.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.97.7.153 (talkcontribs)

In regards to citing something, simply post the website it's one (make sure it is a reliable source) and put it inbetween "<*ref>" and "<*ref>" (without the asteriks). Most wikipedia articles do not use this format, so to be safe when you write down the info just put it between these to charecteristics >>> "[" and "]". --Ted87 20:25, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
And if you don't know how to cite sources then you shouldn't be adding stuff to wikipedia. Citing sources is one of the basic things you should learn if you are going to edit pages. --Ted87 22:27, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

The Game Uncovered

I removed this from the "mixtape" box as it is merely a UK bootleg. It has no new tracks, just old ones from mixtapes. Daza.info

Small note on the birth date

All the resources I'm coming up with are saying that the Game was born on the 27th of November, including Wikipedia's article on November 27. Who2 is saying the same thing, could I get some cited resource on his birthday being November 29th?

There's also an article on Aceshowbiz that says it's on October 29th, which is odd. Any cited resources would be helpful, but until then I'm keeping it as the 27th.
