VJ Andy → Andy Kumar – Even if he is an VJ his name has to be full. Even VJ's like Bani J and VJ Anusha have their full names on their articles (ie Gurbani Judge. Varun (talk) 09:07, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose. The full name is not the WP:COMMONNAME. NewYorkActuary (talk) 12:39, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
Please can you tell me why New York — Preceding unsigned comment added by VarunKhurana326 (talk • contribs) 18:39, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
- Support per WP:PRECISE, which is actually one of the criterial (WP:COMMONNAME is not; it's the default choice to test against the criteria and we don't use it if it fails any of them. "VJ Andy" is too generic and could refer to any of thousands of VJs and DJs named or called Andy. Given the obscurity of the topic (barely qualifies under WP:N – he's a "reality"/game show contestant who also got to host some TV shows, and the last part is what makes him notable), its unlikely that many readers who are not from this VJ's direct viewership have ever heard of this person. It is not at all a case like DJ Pierre, who is world-famous and influential (despite there probably being another DJ somewhere also named Pierre). — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 02:52, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose a quick search in Google news confirms that the current name is overwhelmingly the common name. There is nothing wrong with a page being at its stage name if it is clearly the common name. Concerns of VJ Andy being too generic are reasonable, but not an issue unless in the future we end up with a page that could conceivably be titled with this name -- until then, there's not enough reason why someone could search VJ Andy with the expectation of coming upon another page.--Yaksar (let's chat) 22:13, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

Not moved. This is sort of a procedural close in light of the move logs, 1 and 2, which show that an undiscussed page move to "Andy Kumar" was recently reverted, and also due to the fact that there was no discussion and so no way to determine if consensus has changed from last May. There does not seem to be ample evidence in reliable secondary sources, either. The second link given by the nom below refers to the subject as "VJ Andy", not as "Andy Kumar". There is no prejudice if arguments are strengthened or a new argument is found to justify a new move request in a few months to garner consensus for this name change. Kudos to editors for your input, and Happy Publishing! (nac by page mover) Paine Ellsworth, ed. put'r there 18:39, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

VJ Andy → Andy Kumar – This is the name he uses in his social media accounts and other details as well. Please change it as soon as possible. Here are evidence [1], [2] and look [3] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.152.176.246 (talk) 16:15, 19 April 2019 (UTC)

VJ Andy → Andy Kumar – wp:COMMONNAME. What I see is the celebrity uses his original name then this and it’s also in many sources as well. - "Argument" is a synonym for "rationale" or the reason given for one's opinion. It does sometimes lead to a "fight", but that's how decisions are made on Wikipedia. If this is a very good proposal, then there is no reason for concern. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 00:59, 4 April 2024 (UTC)

- Comment: It makes me shudder whenever I see the Indian name Vijay spelled as "VJ". It's nearly as bad as जय jay spelled जै jai. — kashmīrī TALK 22:53, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- His name is not Vijay it’s that he is an VJ meaning video jockey. He uses his real name mostly than VJ Andy. 2A02:6B68:10:6100:7D09:CC64:A9D7:9DE3 (talk) 09:28, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
