    • Sorry, don't know how to get this across, so bodged it in here; you have the actors wrong for Fabius and Thaddeus; Mcbride plays Fabius, and Franco is Thaddeus. Just so's you know, and can correct.** Isaac — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.133.166.50 (talk) 01:10, 17 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

"Stoner Film"

edit

Shouldn't the article mention the fact that this is a stoner film? One brother is a stoner ("Wizard Weed") and the other brother is more serious mined. Hilarity (supposedly) ensues. It's been called a cross between The Princess Bride and Pineapple Express. --99.135.248.16 (talk) 16:08, 21 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Roger Ebert's review does implicitly call it a "stoner film":
"Can you believe the film also stars Natalie Portman, James Franco, Zooey Deschanel, Justin Theroux and Charles Dance? Why did they do it? Maybe because David Gordon Green's previous film was the nice stoner comedy "Pineapple Express" and they figured he could do it again?"

edit

Cast List ought to be updated.

There is a complete cast list that can be referenced on IMDB here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1240982/fullcredits#cast [1] Sorry if this is a bit of a duff post it's my first time requesting an edit :/ patience appreciated!

Specifically could you add John Fricker who played Marteetee? He's in the variety review here if it helps http://www.variety.com/review/VE1117944973/

(Hope I've put this in the right place!) Cafltlad (talk) 01:32, 13 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Is there a specific name that you would like added? The main cast is included, and all are linked to the appropriate articles. Just make the request more specific & change the answered=yes above to "no". Thanks. Skier Dude (talk) 03:35, 13 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

edit

In the article, it states that David Gordon Green claimed the film was shot without a script, using only a treatment. This is patently false, and no source is cited. Having been on-set, having spoken to cast and crew before, during, and after production, and being in possession of at least four different drafts of the script, I can state conclusively that David Gordon Green never stated that, and it is not true. At all.

Not done Citations have been requested for that information...in fact, for the entire section. I suspect that unless sourcing is provided it will be cut before too long. In the meantime, unfortunately we have no way of knowing that the information you're providing is any more or less accurate than what's in the article, unless you have sourcing that does contradict what's in the article at present. Sorry. Doniago (talk) 12:36, 14 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please change the cast list and any other mentions of Fabius and Thaddeus; Fabius was played by Danny McBride, and Thaddeus by James Franco, not the other way round as currently written. Many Thanks

Sorry you're wrong, the article as it stands now is correct--Jac16888 Talk 01:18, 17 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Middle Ages?

edit

Could I just get a quick consensus on whether other editors feel it's appropriate to consider this a film set during the Middle Ages? To my mind there's too many fantasy elements for that to be an apt categorization. Thanks! Doniago (talk) 21:45, 5 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
