Durango High School (Colorado)

edit
  • ... that overcrowding led to the construction of Colorado's Durango High School, and its replacement?

Created by Chris857 (talk). Self nominated at 21:13, 25 August 2013 (UTC).

  • Have you thought of using the same citation name for all uses of the nomination form, and using {{rp}} to cite the different page numbers? See citation #2 at Mummy Cave for what I mean; it will save you a ton of space. There's no requirement that you use this method, so I'm not attempting to hold up the nomination at all. • Article - created new on day of nomination, 25 August, so new enough; 3320 characters of readable prose, so long enough; neutral; at least one inline citation to every paragraph; no copy vios detected using earwig; I ran the pdf through duplication detector but it didn't want to play so did a quick skim through without seeing anything drastic; and assessed as start class so not a stub.
  • Hook - ALT1 is within length criteria at 98 characters; correctly formatted; correctly cited/supported by ref #5 in first para and ref #6 in 2nd para of 'History' section; and I found it the most interesting of the three hooks, so have struck the others.
  • QPQ done; no image.

My one reservation is this seems to be predominantly based on only one source, the Seyfarth pdf? I'll just give @BlueMoonset: and @Crisco 1492: a ping for their thoughts.... SagaciousPhil - Chat 11:46, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

  • Although buildings on the NRHP are generally considered notable, for the sake of DYK I agree with Sagaciousphil that at least one or two more references are needed, to allow a more balanced look at the edifice. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 17:13, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
  • I took a stab at looking, and I've found two more sources I can add (one also has several pictures, and floor plans, in PD). I'll get to adding those later today, hopefully. Chris857 (talk) 18:11, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, Crisco and Chris857 for such fast responses. Let me know when you've finished adding refs and I'll get this signed off. SagaciousPhil - Chat 18:22, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
@Sagaciousphil: I've added the refs (3 in total actually) that I encountered today, which brought *some* additional content to the article, along with some more images. Chris857 (talk) 23:05, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for adding those so promptly, Chris857, it looks much better now. By the way, the ping didn't work (anyone know why?) but I had it watch listed anyway.
Seems fine to me. SagaciousPhil - Chat 07:59, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
