Hikaru Aizawa

the firsta moe anthropomorphism character created by Microsoft Taiwan for endorsing Microsoft Silverlight?
- ... that Hikaru Aizawa is

- The article is long enough and was new enough when proposed for DYK. The hook is short enough. No QPQ necessary as this is the editor's first DYK submission. However, the hook is not adequately cited in the article: the idea that Hikaru Aizawa was "the first moe anthropomorphism character" either created by Microsoft Taiwan, or created by Microsoft Taiwan to endorse Microsoft Silverlight is not cited in the article. Here is a suggestion for an alternative: ALT1 ... that Hikaru Aizawa was a moe anthropomorphism character created by Microsoft Taiwan for endorsing Microsoft Silverlight? - tucoxn\talk 00:17, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
- Correct symbol. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 02:40, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
- The problems in the hook were fixed. The hook is now adequately cited in the article. I couldn't find any copyvios or close paraphrasing in the article. I'm giving it the AGF tick since some of the sources are Chinese and Japanese, which I can't read. Good to go. - tucoxn\talk 01:16, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- As pointed out by Fram on WT:DYK, this has a number of issues, chief among them the long paragraph on Microsoft Silverlight—the entire first paragraph under Planning is irrelevant to Hikaru. Once that is removed, the article will be well under the minimum 1500 prose character requirement. As important, the hook facts are not supported by sources at the end of relevant sentences. These include the entire statement that Hikaru is a "moe anthropomorphism" character that was created expressly for Silverlight. The article also needs a copyedit before it's ready for the main page: phrases like "campaign plannings" are problematic, and the second sentence of the intro is incomplete; in addition, there needs to be more sources directly about Hikaru, both for the article itself (the final half of the intro is completely unsourced, and it contains most of the information about her, or at least her fictional family), and to establish that this character is notable. Unfortunately, I can't check the Chinese and Japanese sources, but the AkihabaraNews source says very little that's usable—it's only talking about the website, not about overall promotion. - Issues have not been addressed, and the nominator's only edit since December 17 is above in this template. Closing as unsuccessful. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:13, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
