Fair use rationale for Image:North Korean naval ensign.gif

Image:North Korean naval ensign.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use.  Not done I think you should look at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Flag_Template#National_sport_team_flag_templates and make your own template for these football aliases. According to sources (FOTW, [1]), this file is the current naval ensign of North Korea. Previous file is a military branch flag used in parades, and it is never used as the naval ensign. Our article on the navy still seems to use the "previous file". The .jpg isn't a reliable source and I'm unsure whether flagspot.net is. Can you have a member of WP:WikiProject Flags or WP:WikiProject Korea weigh in? (Answering "no" to edit request for now.) --Izno (talk) 15:55, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

@Izno: Here is the source showing this flag used as the naval ensign. Flagspot.net is where the Flags of the World website is hosted, and it's a member of FIAV. I've also updated the infobox in the navy article. --Ericmetro (talk) 16:03, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

Remove these flags as they are just based on the shades used in pictures in different editions of the CIA World Factbook (you can see if you open the flag image) and not are official or even real changes to the flag used by North Korea, they should not be included and especially not linked to a specific year. This will not break anything as the pages using these aliases will revert to North Korea default flag, which these are (incorrect) variations of. Havsjö (talk) 19:39, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

Use of title "North Korea"

According to the lists maintained by the UN, the name used for "North Korea" in all correspondence and references is "People's Democratic Republic of Korea".
