Thanks for getting in toucheditI am not that active on en:wikipedia these days, but I did help the foundation get a few trademarks if you haven't noticed. When I get some free time I want to add more stuff on pages about civilian legal concepts and do some work as you have done for the common law approach to law. I went to law school in Quebec and have a civil and common law degree so I have some appreciation for civil law conceptualizations of law (and I practice in what some historians call a mixed system jurisdiction). Good luck with that domain name dispute. Alex756 03:19, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

I simply copied its contents and pasted it to a new page named User talk:Adam78/Archive1. Or maybe I could have moved it to the new name, just like moving an article??? It would have been better, if it's possible, so as to keep its history. Do you think it's possible (moving a talk page to an archive page)? Adam78 00:55, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for reminding. For now I split the page in general/statistics/EasyTimeline. For EasyTimeline I might extract outdated comments into archive and keep still relevant comments (to do later). SignatureeditYou can go to Special:Preferences and change your signature to your new one. FellowWikipedian 00:36, 23 June 2006 (UTC) ReplyeditAbout your entry on Wikipedia:List of non-admins with high edit counts, I believe these are occasionally automatically updated by a bot (or something like that), so if you remove your name, it may automatically get put back on the list (without being struck through), and people will again bother you to run for adminship. In other words, the best way to avoid being bothered is to leave your name on the list and struck through. (Or request to have your username changed to User:MOE ON WHEELS!!!, in which case no one will ever bother you about seeking adminship again). Cheers! BD2412 T 21:03, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Ghetteaux's talk history?editWould you mind me (or you) undeleting Ghetteaux (talk · contribs · count)'s talk page history? Thanks for your suggestion. On the one hand, I like the idea of such categories, as it helps to know who the other users are - and it can certainly help in exchanging ideas. On the other hand, I would prefer not to be included in any category. Some may view an edit as biased by the simple fact that the person who made it is a lawyer, open source activist, software developer or whoever else. I try to stick on content, not by whom the content was added (I try). That's just my position now... and it does not mean the category is not a good idea of course. Cheers! and thanks again. --Edcolins 19:56, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

I'm still editing primarily in the articles on taxation, and trying to keep the tax protesters from violating the rules on Verifiability, Neutral POV, and No Original Research (my continuous, never-ending mantra). I can't believe I now have made over 9,900 edits since I began in November of 2005. Last summer I believe you asked me about adminship. Howdy from Texas, August 2007editHowdy thar feller - just saw your post on a talk page for a tax protester article. Hope things are going great for you in the world of IP law. I still watch the tax-related articles like a hawk (especially the tax protest articles). Things have been fairly quiet this summer so far, and I don't make as many edits as I used to. In mid-May I began posting in the tax protester related forums at www.quatloos.com. The rules of engagement there are of course completely different. Daniel B. Evans, the exalted author of the tax protester FAQ web site with which I know you are familiar, also posts regularly at quatloos. It's a great group of people. (A few hardy tax protesters post there as well -- gluttons for punishment!!). Anyway, just thought I'd say hello. (PS, As you may surmise, I don't really say things like "howdy thar feller" -- in fact, I'm not originally from Texas anyway, though it seems like I've lived here forever. I just like to overcompensate!) --Regards, Famspear 21:18, 3 August 2007 (UTC) Notification of proposal: Guideline/policy governing listseditDear editor: Given your extensive experience here on Wikipedia, I would greatly appreciate your input on the following topic: Wikipedia: Village pump (policy)#Proposal to make a policy or guideline for lists Thank you in advance for any thoughts you may have on the topic. ApologieseditI would like to apologize if you believe that I was "biting" you or anything of that nature. I was simply reiterating my initial explanation of why this is not a POV problem - the POV comes in when people misinterpret or bias the meaning of a perfectly good word. The fact that I find myself repeating things leads me to believe (perhaps prematurely) that people are taking liberties with an intentional misinterpretation of what I've been trying to explain. I hope you understand and don't take it personally. Regards. --Cheeser1 (talk) 06:41, 5 December 2007 (UTC) |
