After using Wikipedia for a long time as my primary reference tool I've decided it's time to start making a contribution even if it's just to clean up vandalism! As I am currently employed as business manager for a children's charity most of my time will be spent helping out on pages that relate to children (at least when I'm doing this on work time!)

Welcome, newcomer!
Here are some useful tips to ease you into the Wikipedia experience:
- First, take a look at the Wikipedia Tutorial, and perhaps dabble a bit in the test area.
- When you have some free time, take a look at the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines. They can come in very handy!
- Remember to use a neutral point of view!
- If you need any help, feel free to post a question at the Help Desk
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Also, here are some odds and ends that I find useful from time to time:
- Wikipedia:Policy Library
- Wikipedia:Utilities
- Wikipedia:Cite your sources
- Wikipedia:Verifiability
- Wikipedia:Wikiquette
- Wikipedia:Civility
- Wikipedia:Conflict resolution
- Wikipedia:Brilliant prose
- Wikipedia:Pages needing attention
- Wikipedia:Peer review
- Wikipedia:Bad jokes and other deleted nonsense
- Wikipedia:Village pump
- Wikipedia:Boilerplate text
Feel free to ask me anything the links and talk pages don't answer. You can most easily reach me by posting on my talk page.

Vandalism
editIf you want to revert to an edit that may be 2 or more times previous to the current edit, simply click on "Last" for the correct version which will bring up that version. Then edit that version and save. Be sure to indicate in the summary line that you are reverting and the reason why.
You may want to add this userbox {{User CUV}} to your user page, and visit Cleaning up Vandalism.
I also suggest you make contact with another user Robatam who is a great wikipedian and also fights vandalism and vandals. You may tell him that I referred you for insight on fighting vandalism.--Ccson 06:15, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
