- To modify the image description, artist, and copyright fields:
- ExifTool automatically backs up the JPG file with _original appended
- the

or-IgnoreMinor Errors
option is required because Gimp has corrupted the Nikon PreviewIFD preview image (bug report) - to process image.jpg, edit and save the following file as image.metadata and then action it using:
$ bash -e image.metadata
# $ bash -e <filename> # this file does not need the execute permission set # exiftool appends "_original" to the input file exiftool \ -ignoreMinorErrors \ -ImageDescription="to fix" \ -Artist="Robbie Morrison" \ -Copyright="This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License" \ -XMP-cc:License="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/" \ image.jpg

rsvg --format=png diagram.svg temp.png
andeog temp.png &

- Reliability and independence are separate attributes of sources. A source may be reliable but not independent, while another source may be independent but not reliable. When a given topic has received significant coverage in published sources that are both reliable and independent, then the topic is considered notable, and is probably eligible for a Wikipedia article. Once notability has been established, then basic non-controversial details can be filled in using primary (non-independent) sources. In the case of an article about a corporation, for example, their founding date, headquarters location and CEO's name might be referenced to their website. But their website or other primary source cannot be used for evaluative statements. A Wikipedia article should be written from the neutral point of view, and should bear no resemblance to a company website or marketing brochure, though many editors try to write articles that way.

Wikipedia process
edit- Comment: I'm not sure that open source energy system models are a notable sub-group of energy system models. In fact, there is currently (as of 02:45, 28 March 2013 (UTC)) no article called energy system models in Wikipedia, although the topic may be covered under a different name or as a section in another article.This draft also has writing-style issues. Simply put, it's written more like a magazine article or an "introduction to the topic" lesson one might see in a college or continuing-education course than an encyclopedia article.I am going to decline this with the hopes that the author will see if the topic of energy system models is already covered in Wikipedia and if not, determine if the topic meets Wikipedia's notability requirements. If the topic is notable and missing, I hope he writes an article about it. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 02:45, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
