- hello mr kulie tastic i wonder why my topic was not accpected, i have written a topic about conquest of khorasan by ghurids because there was not a topic about that which is so important for those who wants to know about ghurids conquests as i see i have written every words by sources and i have mentioned them. طاها صایم (talk) 12:05, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). You have a single reference which is not enough to show notability. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 12:53, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- OK i understand, I can add more sourecs, but i do not know how many sourecs are enough may i know if add more sourecs my topic would be published? طاها صایم (talk) 13:05, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- There is no fixed amount of sources or a guarantee of being accepted other than as set out by the guideline Wikipedia:Notability. The section Wikipedia:Notability#General_notability_guideline is the expanded version of my sentence above. A lot of people say 3 sources is enough, but it depends on the quality of the source and how much information they have in them. If you can find 3+ sources (in total including your existing one) that are more than passing mentions then add them and resubmit. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 13:56, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- hello sir i hope you be well, sir i added more sourecs and as i said before ghurid campaign in khorasan is so imortant, ghurid campaign in india is available in Wikipedia but ghurid campiagn in khorasan isn't available while it is part of ghurid empire history, that is the reson why i have written this topic, at the end may i ask you will be my topic published in Wikipedia or not. طاها صایم (talk) 08:20, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, there are currently a lot of drafts waiting for review see Category:Pending AfC submissions. They are not reviewed in any particular order, some reviewers check new submissions, some the oldest, some at random and others work on topic areas. Unfortunately there are not enough volunteer reviewers to keep the backlog and wait times as short as we should like. I can see you have added a number of new sources and resubmitted so it will be reviewed at some point, it's just a case of waiting. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 08:40, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- thank you a lot sir طاها صایم (talk) 08:48, 27 August 2024 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
editHello طاها صایم! Your additions to Draft:Battle of Balkh (1198) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 13:17, 29 August 2024 (UTC)

- how can i remove the copyright? this toipc is related to history so i have to copy the texts of the book that i use it as a source and write it down here . is it copyright? طاها صایم (talk) 10:16, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, and thank you for asking about this. You are right about the need to use reliable sources, such as the book you used for this article. But sources should be used to confirm (or verify) the facts we include in Wikipedia articles, not to provide the exact words. Copying the text straight from a source is plagiarism, and it is also a copyright violation except for some rare cases where a text is not protected by copyright. What we as editors have to do is summarise the facts and information from the sources in our own words. That can be difficult, for native English speakers as well as for people like myself who speak English as a second or foreign language, but it's important to stick to this principle. You might find this guide useful.
