UEFA Qualifying map
editHello. I am looking to create UEFA Qualifying maps for each World Cup page. What map/software do you use to create the image on the right? Thanks. Good888 (talk) 11:40, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for December 15
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tvoje lice zvuči poznato (Serbian season 5), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Don't Start Now (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Date formats
editHi there. Please make sure that when you're adding references to a series of articles that you still adapt the date format used in the reference to make it consistent with the one used on that article. If the article uses "21 December 2019", use that. If it uses "December 21, 2019", go with that. Thanks. Ss112 20:03, 20 December 2019 (UTC)

editIn response to the template that was here, I have archived about a hundred discussions from the page with a script. DemonDays64 (talk) 17:24, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
Table formatting
editRe [1]. Please regard MOS:DTAB, which asks us to mark row headers (in this case, the country names to which all other entries in a row relate) using the appropriate header format. For better readability, then, I also applied left-side text alignment. The format is quite easy to read, so I cannot see how "it's complicated enough". This, especially compared to the formatting of the decade tables one List of countries in the Eurovision Song Contest that you have been maintaining for more than five years. Eurovision Infobox term
editInstead of changing the term from nonreturn
to withdraw
why not go to the discussion Talk:Eurovision Song Contest 2020#"withdrew" and talk it out there? The reason the infobox was changed was due to countries that were regulated from 1997-2003 due to low performance technically didn't "withdraw" from the competition. Also your last edit broke the template. Alucard 16❯❯❯ chat? 11:16, 15 March 2020 (UTC)

Discussions
editHi, would you mind discussing large scale changes before making them to dozens of articles? For example, I disagree with this diff because regardless of whether the contest was canceled or not, a selection process was held and an entry was selected. We are a WikiProject and need to collaborate on these things. The project talk page is a good place to ask if a change is supported by consensus. Grk1011 (talk) 02:35, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
I don't think that the years in which the country eventually did not participate should be included. But okay if you disagree completely you can put it back. 009988aaabbbccc (talk) 08:50, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
- Sure, no problem. Just make sure you discuss changes like this so no one ends up wasting time! Grk1011 (talk) 14:06, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
Contestants
editWould you mind undoing your edits to the Contestants section? We just went through the effort yesterday of hiding the colors in the key that were not used and you changed them all back this morning. The key should only summarize things that are presently used in the tables. Additionally, the table should only have years that the countries actually participated. We decided that we shouldn't include "did not participate" years. This was all discussed on the WikiProject talk page, which dummelaksen had linked when he made the changes. Grk1011 (talk) 13:28, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
- Nevermind. It was easier for me to just revert the changes. If you have any questions, please feel free to post to the project talk page. Grk1011 (talk) 14:35, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
- I have a question: can we separate the entries that were initially planned to participate, but they were withdrawn? Because as you said, the table should only include the years in which the countries actually participated, so now, for example in Russia's page including 1996, 2017 and 2020 are making nonsense for me. 009988aaabbbccc (talk) 12:22, 17 April 2020 (CEST)
- The green shading (where a country committed to the contest, but didn't end up participating) seems most appropriate for those, especially since on many occasions entries were actually selected. We were just talking about not including contests where the country just decided not to participate at all. Grk1011 (talk) 13:16, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
- OK, i'll keep in mind for that. Once again, i'm sorry for my behaviour. 009988aaabbbccc (talk) 15:47, 17 April 2020 (CEST)
- Wait, I think you're doing it again right now though. Green is not for countries that didn't qualify for the final. Just countries that did not compete at all. Grk1011 (talk) 14:01, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
- I don't think that 1993 and 1996 pre-qualifying rounds were same as current semi finals. Those countries didn't even got the right to vote in the final. 16:03, 17 April 2020 (CEST)
- But they participated in a part of the event. Let's not make this overly complicated. Unless there were some typos and mistakes here and there that were missed, we felt that all of the tables were corrected already and have no more edits to be made. Grk1011 (talk) 14:05, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
- As a good rule of thumb, I try to make sure I ask the Wikiproject first before I make any change that affects multiple articles. If you look at that talk page you can see the types of questions I've been asking and a couple of editors do respond with what they think. It just saves everyone a lot of time if we know how a change will be received by other editors before its made. Grk1011 (talk) 14:08, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
- As a guy from Serbia, I have to remind you that 2010, 2011 and 2015 entries were NOT internally selected. The one that was internally selected in those years was composer NOT an artist, yet still a mini national selection with 3 songs to choose was held. 009988aaabbbccc (talk) 19:26, 18 April 2020 (CEST)
- Why would you remind me? Shouldn't you reach out to the editors who keep changing it? Grk1011 (talk) 22:52, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry, my bad. They were anonymous editors. Once again, sorry. 009988aaabbbccc (talk) 01:12, 19 April 2020 (CEST)

editThank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. But please be aware that many of your recent edits to Wikipedia are causing Table tag that should be deleted lint errors. If it were just one article, it would be a minor problem, but with this many it's creating a big burden on those of us working on the problem of lint errors. Please see WP:Linter and install lintHint, and don't save articles that you've added lint to.
Table tag that should be deleted are often caused by a missing |}

Edit summary
editHello! I'd like to thank you for your recent contributions to the country articles for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020. However, I noticed that you did not provide an edit summary. Filling one in helps other editors understand what you did without having to click the diff for every single edit that you make. It would be nice if you fill this field in more often in the future. ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message
editPlease warn vandals
editHi.
Thanks for recently undoing vandalism on Eurovision Song Contest 2021. In the future, when you undo vandalism, could you please use the appropriate template to warn the user (IP or registered) to stop their behaviour?
There are many different warning templates available to use. Here are some popular ones. Please see their documentation pages for instructions.
- {{subst:Uw-vandalism1}} - For the first case of vandalism.
- {{subst:Uw-vandalism2}} - For the second case.
- {{subst:Uw-vandalism3}} - Third.
- {{subst:Uw-vandalism4}} - Fourth or final warning.
- {{subst:Uw-vandalism4im}} - Last or only warning for severe situations.
Each time we use these warnings they should be placed under the title "==November 2024==" (updated to the current month and year), on the user's talk page. If previous warnings have been given under that title, add the next level warning beneath the others, within that section. Clearly, individual cases must be dealt with as seems fit. If the user has not been actively vandalizing for a few weeks or months, start a new section.
The value of warning is three fold.
- Firstly: it may be heeded.
- Secondly: it allows other editors to quickly see if that user has been vandalizing frequently or recently.
- Lastly: administrators require that warnings have been given before they can or will act against persistent vandals.
If a vandal is on a spree or has reached a level 4 vandalism warning and is currently active, waste no time in reporting them to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism.
Thanks again for helping to protect articles on Wikipedia. Happy editing! ―JochemvanHees (talk) 23:13, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
I'll try to keep in mind on this in future. 009988aaabbbccc (talk) 23:56, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Eurovision 2021 logo.jpeg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Eurovision 2021 logo.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — JJMC89 (T·C) 02:53, 24 December 2020 (UTC)

Running order
editDo you see a reason to keep "rather than another draw" in the running order sentence? After nearly a decade of it being done this way, why would it be "rather"? That's just how it's done? Grk1011 (talk) 13:16, 30 March 2021 (UTC)

Eurovision 2022
editWhy should we not provide the readers with links to Melodifestivalen 2022 and such when we already have articles containing some information on the countries' participation? We can still remove them if those countries were not to figure in the official list of participants. Is this perhaps something which was agreed upon? 〜イヴァンスクルージ九十八[IvanScrooge98](会話) 16:50, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
I personally think it's way too early for this, and when we know the full list, then you can put the years. For now don't put for any of them, because earlier multiple times happened that one country first applies for participation and then later withdraws. So I would say you should wait till November and then you can put the years. 009988aaabbbccc (talk) 16:54, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I know that has happened, but again, I don’t think it’s a big deal as long as we update the articles. I don’t know, maybe it should be discussed somewhere. 〜イヴァンスクルージ九十八[IvanScrooge98](会話) 16:57, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
Regarding Lithuania and Bulgaria:
- The source for the Lithuanian selection states it will start in early January for a total of 6 shows at most, meaning it is pretty reasonable it will end no later than February. (It’s not like we are randomly guessing.)
- The Bulgarian source mentions a member of the delegation who has released information. Here, take a look for yourself.
- You might as well include the information in the list below rather than delete it altogether. 〜イヴァンスクルージ九十八[IvanScrooge98](会話) 16:20, 2 October 2021 (UTC)
Screaming in edit summaries
editHi, I noticed that a few times you put edit summaries in all caps; this comes across as shouting and hostile. I understand you may be annoyed but talking like that only makes others annoyed by you, and is rarely helpful (see also WP:SHOUTING). I recommend you calm down and discuss on the talk page instead (nevermind, I see you already discussed above). ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 11:02, 20 October 2021 (UTC)

editHello, I'm QuietHere. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to List of 2023 albums have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. At the very least, you should've included an edit summary explaining your reasoning behind the removal, or else it looks like you're doing so for no good reason and we can't just leave that be.
