Hello, I'm CorbieVreccan. I noticed that you made a change to an article, John Two-Hawks, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page.   Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Eve, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Tgeorgescu (talk) 01:32, 26 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Whoever you are, you should think carefully before editing, especially when your edits directly violate policy, are unsupported by the template, or are totally unsourced. The only reason you haven't been banned is because you're (relatively) well-behaved, don't flame others when you are reverted, and you're sometimes right.

Two things you should consider, both of which are connected: sign in and get a username firstly. Gives you greater access to Wikipedia and recognition for your work. Secondly, you'll get a welcome package that includes a list of resources to improve your editing. Tnink about it.  — Myk Streja (who,me?) 15:05, 10 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

(Canadian) Lynx

edit

You are lighting up my watchlist with this minor change to multiple articles. I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong but I don't really see the point. In either event, the way you are doing it is wrong. If you want to change it [[Canadian lynx|lynx]] to read as "Canadian lynx" just remove the pipe and the second "lynx" so the code just hotlinks [[Canadian lynx]]. Otherwise you are basically adding clutter to the article. Beeblebrox (talk)

@CLCStudent: I fail to see how that edit was vandalism by any reasonable definition. Taiga is indeed synonymous with boreal forest, and in fact boreal forest is a redirect pointing at the taiga article. Per WP:R2D such edits aren't necessary but I certainly wouldn't classify it as vandalism. Beeblebrox (talk) 16:50, 15 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary.
