editSorry, that IP address that removed my edits was me. Didn’t feel it was necessary to login to do thatDohvahkiin (talk) 22:51, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

- I did not make those edits so wasn't me. I don't even know who he is before I looked at his Wikipedia article just now. 24.47.203.20 (talk) 08:05, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
- I've also never seen anyone else edit Wikipedia under this IP address except for myself. I guess it could have been my youngest brother, he is a Nets fan after all. I'll ask and talk to him about it. I do have an account though, atm I'm not logged into it due to not really editing Wikipedia from my laptop. @NickWX28 is me. I do sometimes rarely edit just not logged in, and most of the contributions on this IP are mine. In fact the most recent one before this in Video Game requests is mine. 24.47.203.20 (talk) 08:19, 4 March 2023 (UTC)

. Daniel Case (talk) 06:32, 26 July 2023 (UTC)- I haven’t edited since my block using the IP address and you can see it if you look at my contributions. My last edit on this account was this one: 07:20, 17 May 2023 diff hist +176 Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Requests. My block happened on June 3rd. Thus its not block evasion because I didn’t use it to edit whilst blocked. 24.47.203.20 (talk) 11:12, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
Unblock Request
edit24.47.203.20 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I never admitted to using this for block evasion. I admitted to using this to edit in general in the past but not to evade my block. That is clear if you look at the contributions of this IP. The last edit made was in May of 2023. My block occurred in June of 2023. Which also extends to my unblock request on my main account. I’d like that to be re-reviewed as well with the foreknowledge that i haven’t been using this IP to block evade at all [1]https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/1128073274593656892/1133721867090395228/IMG_6059.png [2]https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/1128073274593656892/1133721867442733066/IMG_6060.png. I have included pics here of my edit contributions for this IP address in addition to when i was blocked. None of the edits were made whilst blocked. 24.47.203.20 (talk) 11:32, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
This edit was made from this IP address while your account was blocked. In any case, there's no need to lift this block. If you wish to contest the block on your account, do so using your account. There's no reason you need this IP address block lifted. Yamla (talk) 12:05, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
@Yamla That edit doesn’t count. That edit is because i do not want to access my account UNTIL i am unblocked. I am that accounts owner. So thats not justifiable at all. I want you or SOMEONE to review this WITH THE KNOWLEDGE that UNTIL thats unblocked I AM NOT ATTEMPTING TO RECOVER IT. You cannot force someone to recover an account against their will if they do not wish to until they know for certain that they will be using it again. It is for my own sanity that i will continue to request unblocks using my IP address alone. I am not going through the account and password recovery process until it has been unblocked. Thats too much work for something that can easily be done without having to log into my account for it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.47.203.20 (talk • contribs)
- We will not consider unblock requests for that account unless the request is made by that account. We aren't forcing you to recover access to your account but will not even consider unblock requests unless you do so. It's your choice. --Yamla (talk) 15:19, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Yamla But whats the point. The entire thing is i do not want to use my account anymore and am content just using my IP address going forward. So I’d only be recovering it to get it unblocked and then never using it again. I don’t need it since I won’t be active regularly. That doesn’t mean im not going to edit it just means I’m going to edit very rarely if i see something that should be corrected such as grammatical errors and such.
- Blocks apply to the person. Until the block on your account is lifted, you are not permitted to edit. You are free to choose not to recover your account so you can contest your block. The consequence of that choice is that you are not permitted to edit Wikipedia. I will not respond further. --Yamla (talk) 15:30, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Yamla I don’t think you understand what I am saying so I will make it clearer: The entire POINT of me being unblocked is that I want to edit USING MY IP ADDRESS. If i were planning on editing against the block I would have done so by now. But i know thats against the rules which is why I haven’t. I know i have to be unblocked to edit using anything. But again, I want to solely use my IP address going forward, which is why I do not see the point of having to log into my account solely to request an unblock when i can do so with my IP address, considering the fact that i also have not made a single edit using it. I was never saying i am going to use my IP to edit regardless. Just that once i am unblocked thats what i shall be sticking to.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.47.203.20 (talk)
- Absolutely not. During your prior unblock request at OWGNicholas, you agreed to a one account restriction. You are not going to be allowed to abandon that one account and attempt to evade scrutiny as an IP. -- ferret (talk) 03:32, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- I never said i was abandoning it, just that i also edit using my IP if I don’t feel like taking the time to login. 24.47.203.20 (talk) 15:05, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
- That would be a clear and direct violation of your one-account restriction. --Yamla (talk) 15:07, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
- IP addresses aren’t accounts. They are IPs and this particular IP is shared. 24.47.203.20 (talk) 15:09, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
- Do you really think arguing about that is going to aid your effort to be unblocked? Like, really. YOU, the individual behind the account / IP, are who is blocked. YOU, the individual behind the account / IP, are the one who agrees to a one account restriction. That means YOU, the individual behind the account / IP, are ONLY allowed to edit as OWGNicholas. Never as any other account or IP. -- ferret (talk) 15:12, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
- There are multiple people behind this IP. As evidenced by the fact that there are edits associated with it that I didn’t even make. I understand that I the person am restricted to one account, but thats not going to hold up well considering someone else could very well use the IP and make an edit if they so choose to. Which is why im saying it would only make sense for me to use both. So there is a clear indication of WHOM is using them. If its someone else, it will be extremely obvious and if its me, also extremely obvious. 24.47.203.20 (talk) 15:16, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Ferret You should really stopped assuming things. Never said anything of the sort. Just that i would do things my way as in i would do things on my terms. When i want to do them. I play by my timetable, not yours or anyone elses. When i feel like doing something about it, i will, and until then, just be patient. 24.47.203.20 (talk) 16:30, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
- You've been told what you need to do to be unblocked. There is no need for you to continue discussing things on this page, nor any purpose in harassing other users with pings. When you "feel like doing something about it", you are welcome to do so from your account. The rest of us have better things to do than to continue entertaining this, and as such your talk page access has been revoked. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 16:38, 2 August 2023 (UTC)

- (edit conflict) With your single account restriction you are required to log in. You are evading your restriction if you do not. If you want to appeal that restriction you will have to do so from your account, and you will have to wait out or successfully appeal your account's block first. You may be able to request vanishing if you have gone through those two steps first, but we do not vanish accounts that are under sanctions. This IP will not be unblocked, and if you do not stop asking I will revoke your talk page access. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 15:12, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
- I’m just gonna do things my way. Good luck with that. 24.47.203.20 (talk) 15:37, 2 August 2023 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
