editHello, I'm Donner60. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Dublin Bus, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 23:10, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

editHello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you recently removed content from The Square Tallaght without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Hello, I'm C.Fred. Your recent edit(s) to the page Katharine Tynan appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been removed for now. Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Ben Dunne, Snr., without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Hello, I'm 31.187.7.220. I did not intend to write an unsourced death on Des Lynam. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —31.187.7.220 (talk) 16:24, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- That's curious. You wrote that he's dead, and you didn't provide a source (and all of this over three separate edits). Can you please explain how you did that unintentionally; are you perhaps invoking the automatism defence? If your edit history weren't full of vandalism, I might buy that, alas... --DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:48, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
Mr. Lynam was getting of age, and was supposed to return home. I suggest... - 31.187.7.220 (talk) 15:06, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
I claimed to have heard the news and then wrote in Lynam's death, however, it was reverted. - 31.187.7.220 (talk) 11:20, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
- "Heard the news" is not enough. You need to cite specifically what news service covered the story, and ideally provide links to the online version of it. Note that with deaths, we generally wait for multiple news sources to cover an event, rather than going on one initial report. —C.Fred (talk) 14:26, 13 April 2021 (UTC)

- Another user of this IP has already been warned for adding unsourced material to articles. The only reason this IP wasn't blocked for the edits to Charles Leiper Grigg is that I'm not sure it's the same editor. That said, if you add a cause a death to that article without adding a source, you do so at peril of being blocked. —C.Fred (talk) 12:28, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Wikipedia:Teahouse, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 17:03, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
Hello there! I noticed that you gave some advice to a user and while it wasn't entirely unhelpful, some of it was rather discouraging such as "only make general edits or they will be reverted" which is false. This discourages new users from making helpful, large edits on Wikipedia as it makes them afraid that if they do so it'll be reverted. Also make sure to use the <code></code>
template when adding template code to something to show a user how to use it so it actually shows the code instead of just adding the template. Blaze The Wolf | Proud Furry and Wikipedia Editor (talk) 19:46, 19 April 2021 (UTC)

You are either trolling or lack sufficient competence to edit Wikipedia. Either way, the block is appropriate and you should consider other sites, as you are unwilling or unable to contribute constructively here. Yamla (talk) 21:43, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
