Tagging and Fixing

Hi, the bot just keeps adding this as an edit description. Can something be done to give an edit description as to what it has done to the article. In some cases there is no tagging at all. A description of what has been fixed or tagged would help in scanning watchlists. Many thanks Keith D (talk) 16:35, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

I am afraid in AWB there is no way to add an edit summary for each type of edit. One thing it does do is if ti adds a tag it will say which tag. I am hopping that a feature like you described will be added soon but it will take time and alot of hard work from the developers. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 16:45, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Addbot removing stub template?

Addbot recently removed a math-stub template and made no other changes to the page: [1]. I'm guessing this is not the intended behavior, so I'm bringing it to your attention. Ozob (talk) 00:22, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

The bot is actually meant to do this in its tagging routine and it knows what to unmark from stub by how many characters there are on the page. If it is above X ammount it will remove the tag. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 19:45, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

I am suggestion... When the candidate himself updates the Tally in his RFA, it wont look much good to many people. There are lots of other people who are willing to do it. I personal advice is to leave it to them -- TinuCherian (Wanna Talk?) - 16:43, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
The only reason I do this is as I am trying to add answers to the article and if people update the tally without me knowing I keep on getting edit conflicts. If I do it then I know that no one else has to do it but I see where you are coming from. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 16:46, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Workaround for status bot update interval

I noticed your comments at Soxred93's talk page about status bot's interval time. I just thought I'd let you know I hacked up a workaround, feel free to modify to taste:

  {{ #switch: {{User:StatusBot/Status/Xenocidic}}
   | online=<font color=green>'''Online'''</font>
   | offline={{ #ifexpr: ({{#time:U}}-{{#time:U|{{User:StatusBot/Status/Xenocidic/LastEdit}}}})
     > 7200 | <font color=red>'''Offline'''</font> | <font color=orange>'''Somewhat Online'''</font> }}
  }}

Presently it will show me "Somewhat online" if my last edit was less than 2 hours ago (7200 seconds). cheers, xenocidic ( talk ¿ review ) 15:40, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for this find! ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 15:42, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Well it worked! ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 06:05, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

(copied over from my talk page:) Hi, Addshore. There's really not too much reason to take it over to OTRS now, because in any case the content you added wasn't really relevant to the article, which is why I deleted it in the first place; it was only subsequently that I realized that there was a problem with plagiarism / copyvio.

I should say that I feel somewhat bad if something I pointed out were to mean that your RfA failed. But it is a serious issue, and I thought it important that I mention it. And then your initial response rather compounded the problem. You obviously have lots of supporters, and do good work in other ways on the encyclopedia (though here's a bit of vandalism that you missed!). I feel sure that, if you attempt fails this time, you will have more success in the future.

In the meantime, if you want help working on an article--and I think it's useful that you gain some experience there, simply so you know how Wikipedia articles are written, and the issues involved--I'd be happy to help out. We would work on improving TBGS, for instance.

All the best. --jbmurray (talkcontribs) 23:07, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

WP:HAU has a new format

Due to popular demand, HAU has a new look. Since the changes are so dramatic, I may have made some mistakes when translating the data. Please take a look at WP:HAU/EU and make sure your checkmarks are in the right place and feel free to add or remove some. There is a new feature, SoxBot V, a recently approved bot, automatically updates your online/offline status based on the length of time since your last edit. To allow SoxBot V to do this, you'll need to copy [[Category:Wikipedians who use StatusBot]] to your userpage. Obviously you are not required to add this to your userpage, however, without this, your status will always be "offline" at HAU. Thanks. Useight (talk) 17:12, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Addbot

Hey, when a bot-flagged account makes a minor edit to a user talk page, it does not trigger the new messages bar. When running the bot to deliver messages, could you make sure that the edits aren't marked as minor? Thanks! WODUP 21:45, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Yep, I will do. Thanks for pointing this out to me WODUP! ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 22:07, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Has anyone got any bright ideas with deciding on the correct Creative Commons License?

Hello there, I have been working on a project now for 29 years, and have finally come to the point of releasing some material to the Community, but now face the delema of making the right choice. As some material shall be rights protected and some shall be Cc. From Musicitishotkey_052608_PC_(Musicitishotkey (talk) 05:11, 26 May 2008 (UTC))

Hi there. Personally I would pick one of the CC licenses and I would also read up on their website about them. Please consider asking this question here on the help desk also to get more information or advice. If you are going to upload some work into the public domain that is 100% copyright free then please consider using the Wikimedia Commons. I hope this helps. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 08:50, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Bots/Status

Hi - Just FYI (in case you're working on an offline copy), I added Rick Bot to the unsorted "registered" list. -- Rick Block (talk) 15:50, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

BTW - are you updating the status as you go? I could easily provide you a list of all bot flagged accounts and the date of their last edit. If this would be helpful just let me know. -- Rick Block (talk) 16:05, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
I am first going to organize it and then I will check them all. I think it will be easier if I just look at them as I go through. Just wondering but which lists did you add your bot to? The one at the bottom or the one at the top? ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 08:29, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
I added Rick Bot to the list at the top (the unsorted one). -- Rick Block (talk) 13:28, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Yep that should be fine :). Thanks for letting me know ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 13:49, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Orphan tagging bot

Hey, I know that Addbot goes through Special:Lonelypages to identify and tag orphans. Does it also go the rest of mainspace looking for them? Is there another bot that does this? WikiProject Orphanage is looking for a bot that can do that, either working off a database dump or through article creation patrolling.--Aervanath's signature is boring 19:19, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Yes my bot could do this. It could work from a database dump but getting the list from Special:NewPages is currently not working but I would defiantly like to help out with this. I dont know if it can go through the patrol logs and will check this soon. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 08:31, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Cool! Glad to have your help. I don't know much about bots, but anything I can do help, just let me know!--Aervanath's signature is boring 17:33, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Don't forget, my bot is also doing it. Soxred 93 12:07, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Two bots both patrolling Special:Lonelypages seems like a little overkill, and also a little limited, since that page only holds 1000 articles. I think it would be great if we could have at least one bot trying to process articles that aren't on Lonelypages.--Aervanath's signature is boring 15:28, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
I currently have a BRFA for this task here. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 15:55, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

AIV

[2] There is no point in giving warnings to the umpteenth sockpuppet of the Avril Lavigne/RefDesk vandal. Dragons flight (talk) 09:59, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

On that report I was stating the obvious but he, and the people he was warring with, had just been blocked for edit waring therefor he should have been removed anyway. If it was a sock the AIV is not the place to go to put you should go to WP:SSP.·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 10:03, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
No, SSP is slow and intended for cases that are possibly debatable. The RD vandal is nothing but recurrent pattern vandalism and simply needs to be blocked. And no, no one he was warring with was blocked because Xcamberx (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) and Thiagara (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) are simple vandals not edit warriors. Dragons flight (talk) 10:09, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
Firstly they had an edit war on WP:AIV also on the ref desk as you can see in his contribs and both of these users were blocked for edit waring by Luna-San as someone reported it. Once I knew they were being blocked I removed the report as it was resolved. The users were acctually really warring over who got blocked, exchanging one user on AIV for another. In my opinion it doesn't really matter if they got blocked for vandalism, edit waring or socking. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 10:24, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
You're not reading the log right, the "edit war" on AIV consisted on the vandal using misleading edit summary to remove the report of his own vandalism. He never actually reported anyone else. The "edit war" on the RefDesk was pure vandalism. Dragons flight (talk) 10:32, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
ahh, I get it now, At least he was still blcoked. ·Ãḍď§ђɸŗЄ· Talk 10:33, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Addbot tagging

Hello,

Addbot has tagged several pdf-images/documents with the following {{BadFormat}} tag:

Please be aware that I use the files as references for Scientology-related articles, such as Church of Scientology International or Religious Technology Center. The original format of the documents are tiff-files and were then converted into pdf, which is the appropriate format for these documents.

I think that these documents are wrongly tagged by Addbot.

Cheers, Martin Ottmann (talk) 16:03, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

The tag just states that the file was uploaded in a non-image format. Also that the information it contains could be stored more efficiently in the PNG format, the SVG format, or as plain text in an article. Which it could be. IT goes onto say if the information is encyclopedic, please integrate its text and information into an article, or consider copying it to Wikisource. As you are using them as references then they are being integrated into articles "kind of" and if it is free use then wikisource is the place for it. This is more of an information tag that means no offense. The bot is being discussed here currently and if you would like to comment more then please do so there. There has already been a discussion there and also on WT:CSD providing consensus for this bot request which is here I hope this clears things up. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 16:32, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

TP Page

We were using the talk page. The editor in question not only refused editor consensus, but general editing guidelines, and was reverting all edits by all other editors. I know that 3RR is prohibited, but in this case the editor was clearly vandalizing and evading bans by abusing sockpuppets to do so.Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 05:39, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Just wondering... Which user and what page? I cant seem to find it ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 05:44, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Disney Special Editions

WTF! I removed 'vandalism' from the talkpage of the Disney Special Editions article and I get reprimanded for that? Jesus Christ, you Wikipedia users seem to be too uptight and anal about everything lately! 213.10.46.8 (talk) 10:05, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

I think you mean this edit If you would like to get the page removed please propose it for deletion or tag it for CSD. page blanking (which is what you did) is classed as vandalism. If you need more help please ask again here. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 15:25, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I've subscribed. Also added an 'alernative option' link to Template:NTWW-subscription. Btw, does that mean your bot automatically detects new episode subpages and then delivers the notifications? Or do you have to update it manually to start delivery? dorftrottel (talk) 08:17, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi there, There is currently a bug in the software that Addbot uses for this tasks. Although the bot is currently not meant to only add or remove whitespace it still does. WP:HAU

Hello yet again. I regretfully inform you that the bot we were using to update the user status at Wikipedia:Highly Active Users, SoxBot V, was blocked for its constant updating. With this bot out of operation, a patch is in the works. Until that patch is reviewed and accepted by the developers, some options have been presented to use as workarounds: 1) Qui monobook (not available in Internet Explorer); 2) User:Hersfold/StatusTemplate; 3) Manually updating User:StatusBot/Status/USERNAME; or 4) Not worry about it and wait for the patch to go through, which hopefully won't take long. If you have another method, you can use that, too. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Useight (talk) 22:18, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Please fix {uncat} tags from Addbot to "year in baseball" articles"

The first hundred or so entries currently in uncategorized pages are 1877 in baseball, 1888 in baseball and so forth. All of these articles were categorized into Category:1877 in baseball, Category:1888 in baseball and so forth, as appropriate. Yet Addbot tagged all these pages as uncategorized, and I undid five of the taggings before I realized what happened. If you could rollback the bot edits to the "year in baseball" articles, that would save me (or someone else) a lot of time. Thank you. Shalom (HelloPeace) 23:29, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. I know know the reason why the bot tagged these, It is as to it (looking at what appears in the edit windows) there appears to be no category's. I will notify the devs for AWB about this and I will also go through and revert all of the bots changes. Thanks for telling me about this error. ·Ãḍď§ђɸŗЄ· Talk 06:17, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Just to let you know I have gone through all of the edits and have reverted the edits by the bot that added the uncat tag if they had not already been reverted. Again thanks for telling me about this bug. Sorry if I caused you any annoyance. I will not re run the bot until this is fixed or I have found a way to fix it. ·Ãḍď§ђɸŗЄ· Talk 06:37, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Hiya - you either missed one or the dreaded bot struck again :-) See 1987 in baseball - I've fixed it (initially by adding a category, but now by reverting it to the version prior to the bot). CultureDrone (talk) 06:49, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, I only managed to fix them all about 1 min ago ^^ (so many). I think maybe the template that holds the cat on those pages should be substed maybe? What do you think? ·Ãḍď§ђɸŗЄ· Talk 06:52, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Oops - I hadn't paid close attention to the date/time of your previous comment, so apologies for interrupting 'midflow'! Being only a simple, humble, insignificant Wikignome (in the main), I know little about 'subst'ing and its impact (looks like I've got more reading to do...), so I'm afraid I can't give an informed opinion :-) CultureDrone (talk) 07:56, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Ohh - that's what subst does ! Well, I still don't know the answer to your question, but I've learned a little more about WP today, which is a good thing :-) CultureDrone (talk) 08:29, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Lol at Wikignome. Yeh It took a while, nearly 50 pages had to be reverted. I will take a closer look at the page and what I might be able to do latter =] ·Ãḍď§ђɸŗЄ· Talk 11:10, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Hi again - a quick update - Rjwilmsi has been tidying some of the baseball articles using AWB - apparently one of AWB's 'general fixes' is marking these pages as uncategorised again. I've told him about the issues with templates/categories and I think he's going to stop for the moment, and I've gone through the articles and cleared the uncat tag, but the problem may occur if other people edit using these utilities.....what's wrong with typing everything in longhand anyway ?! It's never done me any harm...flibble... :-) CultureDrone (talk) 21:13, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Yes currently anyone that tags the pages using AWB will tag them with uncat. I guess we will just have to revert them and tell them not to do it until it is fixed :> The problem with doing it by had is the fact that my bot is meant to be checking about 100,000 pages or something ^^ ·Ãḍď§ђɸŗЄ· Talk 21:16, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Ok I have found what the problem is
{{Year in baseball|this year = 1981 |}}
Should be substed. Im going to post on the template talk page. This template i what contains the category. ·Ãḍď§ђɸŗЄ· Talk 21:34, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Sine-Cosine Proofs PDF Document

I have removed the Bad Format tag from this image. This is a PDF image that contains text and line diagrams. It cannot be integrated into the article text. Wikipedia has no prohibition against PDF images. Wahrmund (talk) 21:07, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

I do not think that you should have removed the template as everything that it says is true. It is not asking for the pdf to be deleted but only informing that it could be stored in a better format. The pdf is likely to be re tagged next time the bot gets run as there is still consensus to do so. If you have any more comments questions or querys then please reply here. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 16:57, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

The file in question contains 47 KB. I don't think this is something we need to agonize over. Wahrmund (talk) 22:28, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

I don't want to argue I am just saying that All pdf files that are on the english wikipedia will get tagged by this bot in the way that this pdf did every time that the bot runs. There is no reason for the tag not to be there but there is a reason for the tag to be there. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 23:41, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Welcoming Users

Hi there. Don't you think that it is a bit weired that you welcome users before they have made any contributions with a template that says thanks for you contributions (see User_talk:StevePajor)? Maybe you could wait until they have made some contributions before you welcome them? This is only my opinion and I do not mean to jump on you. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 16:50, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Is there a more appropriate template? I thought it was nice to make someone feel immediately welcome. Ecoleetage (talk) 16:52, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Yes I do see what you are saying maybe I should look at which template I am putting on their talkpage before I put it on. Thanks for bringing that up I didnt think about that but the one on that users page is a welcome doesnt say anything about contributions jsut says about heading down to the new contributors page. Thanks again. Chemistrygeek (talk) 16:57, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
I am currently discussing about making a new template for welcomming users that have no contributions. Ill let you know when more happens on this. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 16:59, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
If you want any help in developing the template then I am sure that I can help you out if you want me to. Chemistrygeek (talk) 17:00, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
I think I will more than likely just take one of the other templates and change it slightly. I will remove the bit that says thanks for contributions and add something else. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 17:01, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
I will give it a go now see what happens. Chemistrygeek (talk) 17:03, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

There seems to be nothing there for me at the moment... Are you sure you have saved it ? :D ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 17:13, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Yes I saved it you have to read it I removed the contributions bit and also added in thanks for joining. Chemistrygeek (talk) 17:15, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
sorry im blind (I was looking at the user page not the talk page). Yep that looks very good. Ill try to implement some new templates soon ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 17:17, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Where do you think that I should take the template to? Should I take it to the Village Pump? I dont know who would be interested in it. Chemistrygeek (talk) 17:18, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
I can deal with that. I will make the templates for you and I will message you once I have done them. (Could be a day or 2 as there are many welcome templates to create / change) ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 17:20, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Ok thanks I will have a little look into it aswell. Maybe we can look into it together? Chemistrygeek (talk) 17:37, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

I hope this is my last question. When I got to [4]; it shows I have rollback rights; but not acount creator rights? I was approved for SQL's tool and the mailing list. Is there anything else I need to do? Thanks! §hep¡Talk to me! 22:51, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
To get yourself into the accountcreator group you have to ask an admin if you can have it (like rollback). They will look at your contribs e.t.c and then either give you the group or not. I hope this helps. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 06:38, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned disambiguation pages

Hi Addshore, is there any way you could prevent your bot from tagging disambiguation pages as orphans? There's really no point in tagging those, since those really SHOULDN'T be linked to from articles.--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 13:17, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. Currently the bot skips all pages with the word "disambig" meaning it should skip all pages that as disambiguations. If there are any which the bot has tagged please show me the diff so I can try to fix this but it shouldnt happen again. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 13:36, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

New user looking to be adopted.

Hello. My user name: Crimson Red Fox and I am looking to be adopted. I am NOT a tech savvy person and do not understand some aspects to editing Wikipedia.

I clicked on the edit button to add information on how to create a slipknot for Crochet & Knitting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slip_knot

My entry does not look right when I compare it to other pages despite my trying out the sandbox.

Questions:

When should a table be added to a page? Ie: Just after a subject is introduced a table breaking down the different subjects with links to that particular part of the page.

I am hoping you can tell me where I am supposed to include “verifiable” information? In the case of making a slipknot I know how to make a slip knot but I originally learned it from my mother. So, I am thinking mom is not exactly a verifiable source.

What cases do I use an external web site? I don’t want others to think that I am endorsing a particular site but sometimes examples from external links are helpful. So, when does it become spam versus just information for others?

I do NOT understand how to use markup language to link to sites or how to link to Wikipedia pages without the http etc...

I hope this is not too much to ask. If so, please let me know. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Crimson Red Fox (talkcontribs) 01:36, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Hey. User:Steve_Crossin has offered to addopt you. Please get in touch with him and ask him these questions. I am sure he can help you! Have a great time in the adoption program. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 07:00, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Teacher Learning Academy

Thanks for retrieving the work that I had done. I will work on referencing it and building it up. I think it deserves an article as it is the only way of recognising teachers' prfessional development in the UK. Thanks --SteveMargetts (talk) 00:51, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

It is currently located here ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 06:02, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
It has been deleted again! Does it need to have some more externla links put into the page before it will be accepted? --SteveMargetts (talk) 00:15, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Yes it got re deleted =]. See the todo list on this page and the article is still here. Fell free to try and change this page more :> ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 10:21, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Addbot task request

So is that it for the task request? Where can we go from here?--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 19:23, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Well I don't think that the task will go through. It will probably end up the same a Cluebot V which was going to do a similar task. I can still tag lists of articles with my current bot though. Also the creator of the Cluebots is doing more work on his similar task so that might be up in the future. If you have any lists of articles you would like me to go through them feel free to send them to me. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 22:08, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, the problem is that the list of articles I wanted the bot to go through was the entire database.  :) However, I guess what could be done was a sort of analysis like was done to produce Wikipedia:WikiProject Orphanage/Articles orphaned without redirects (from a 2003 database dump) and Wikipedia:WikiProject Orphanage/Orphaned Articles (2004 database dump). Would it be possible to run through the most recent database dump, find articles which meet the criteria, and make lists of them, excepting those that already have orphan, do-attempt, geo-orphan, or do-attempt-geo tags? De-orphaners could then run through those lists manually, tagging and de-orphaning as necessary. Is that doable?--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 19:15, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
Yes I think that could be do able. The problem that they had was they dont like bots going through and tagging new pages as they get created :> p.s. sorry for my late reply ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 06:40, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

adding pictures

Hi Addshore! Thanks for the welcome. I'd like to add some pictures to the article I've been working on, but I'm afraid I don't have the authority. What are the conditions for receiving the authority? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Csdavis1 (talkcontribs) 19:42, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, I think you should be able to upload images. Which bit are you having trouble with? The copyright? No problem about the welcome. Also can you please sign your messages when you message someone on a talk page by adding ~~~~ to the end. Please reply, Thanks. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 22:07, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Warm Welcome

Thank you for the warm welcome. I just made my first contribution and I hope it is done correctly. I appreciate any guidance you can give. Despite my many years as a journalist, I'm a newbie here, so do please stay in touch. Not sure I can find this page for your response so send me smoke signals or something so I can find my way. Ladypam (talk) 22:41, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. Yes I also think that the project is a good project and deserves help. If you ever have any questions then please just ask here. Teacher learning academy

A tag has been placed on Teacher learning academy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Teacher learning academy and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Goodvac (talk) 18:50, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

I am now a bit confused about the past history of this article, but I will make the following points:
RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 19:22, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Firstly thanks for your comment. I don't actually why I did a cut and paste move instead of just moving. I normally just move the stubs that I create into the article space but for some reason today I did not. When I reinstate the article after making more changes to it, hopefully removing the government handout tone from it I will rename it to Teacher Learning Academy. I will also add some redirects from other pages to here. Again thanks for your comments. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 06:25, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
