Wookieepedia

edit

Seeing how youve been a steady contributor to the area of Star Wars, maybe you could help us with the new Star War Wiki (aka Wookieepedia), and so I invite you to contribute information there that would normally get booted off Wikipedia for being "fancruft". -- Riffsyphon1024 17:21, Mar 24, 2005 (UTC)

  • Just noticing your continuous good work. Have you considered contributing for SWW yet. It would be much appreciated. -- Riffsyphon1024 03:08, Mar 31, 2005 (UTC)
    • I just signed up yesterday (I think it was yesterday), although I haven't done any editing over there yet. Thanks for the invitation and everything. I'm still wondering how this is all supposed to stay coordinated, and that kept me from signing up for a little bit (are we even going to try for any level of coordination?). It sort of seems to me like the Star Wars stuff could stay here, but I'm seeing the advantages moreso now. For one thing, it'll be nice not having to type [[Force (Star Wars)|Force]] instead of [[Force]]. There are other issues of course, the main ones being level of detail and such. I'm still a bit reluctant to do too much on Wookieepedia because the whole transwiki thing is still confusing to me—I don't want to try to move an article and do it wrong I guess. Maybe I'm just paranoid. I'll be doing more editing on Wookieepedia as time progresses. Thanks again. Aidje 04:26, 2005 Mar 31 (UTC)

Hi Aidje, I don't really think you were doing anything wrong either, but I'm of the view that the vfd box should remain on the page because the VFD discussion is still "live" (it hasn't officially closed). VFD discussions will normally remain open for a set period and then be delisted, by an administrator. You could ask someone at the Wikipedia:administrators' noticeboard to delist the page, but I don't think it will do any real harm to keep it on there for a week (the page isn't in any danger of being deleted). Slac speak up! 05:59, 30 Mar 2005 (UTC)

  • Okay, I guess I didn't realize that an administrator needed to officially close the discussion. Thanks for letting me know, and thanks for putting the VfD box back up. Aidje 04:29, 2005 Mar 31 (UTC)

At World's End?

In your comment for renaming the Pirates of the Caribbean 3 article, you said: title was recently announced. Where, exactly? Would you please give me a link to the announcement from Disney? - Brian Kendig 10:05, 9 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
