AlanM1, thank you for interest in the account creation process. I have verified your Identification [1] and I have approved your request, welcome to the team. You may now access the interface here. Before you do so, please read the account creation guide and our username policy thoroughly to familiarize yourself with the process. You should also join us on IRC #wikipedia-en-accounts connect (please go here #wikipedia-en-accounts-unreg connect to get setup) where a bot informs us when new account requests come in and to get any advice on requests as well as the mailing list. Please note that we have implemented a policy of zero tolerance on mishandled requests, and that failure to assess correctly will result in suspension. I would like to emphasize that it is not a race to complete a request, and each one should be handled diligently and thoroughly. Currently you are allowed to create up to six accounts per day, although you won't be able to create an account with a similar name to that of another user; these requests are marked "Account Creator Needed" by the bot and "Flagged user needed" on the interface. However, if you reach the limit frequently, you can request the account creator permission at WP:PERM/ACC. Please keep in mind that the ACC tool is a powerful program, and misuse will result in your access being suspended by a tool administrator. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. Thank you for participating in the account creation process. Again welcome! Mlpearc (powwow) 17:23, 28 March 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 14Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited RPG Group, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Hyderabad and BPO (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 19:23, 14 April 2013 (UTC) Template:MarriageAs you perhaps saw, the TFD for {{Marriage}} got closed as "no consensus". After examining the way this template works, I've proposed removing many of the parameters that many of the TFD participants found unnecessary, problematic, objectionable, etc. The proposal is in the "Removing parameters" section of Template talk:Marriage; would you please go there and offer your opinions? I apologise for the boilerplate style of writing; I'm doing my best to notify all participants in the TFD equally, so I'm copy/pasting the same thing to everyone's talk page regardless of how they voted. Account creator topiconHi Alan, I noticed on your user page that you are displaying an account creator topicon. However you don't have the WP:Account creator user right, which is what that topicon is for (not just having access to the ACC interface). Given that, you should probably remove the topicon until you have account creator user rights. Regards, Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 05:59, 25 April 2013 (UTC)

You said this section needed work. I wrote most of it, and all I can say is that each time I read an article on the topic in Broadcasting & Cable online, I would add to the article. It's not ideal, I admit, but all the information is important.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:32, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

'Abandoned' template documentation subpageHi. Could you please delete User:AlanM1/Template/Color contrast ratio/doc? It's cluttering up Category:Documentation subpages without corresponding pages (and it appears to be long irrelevant and just overlooked). Thanks. Revent (talk) 19:15, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

TOC templatesAs I said on my Talk page, your approach to I have just implemented Do you think we should (re)merge both templates? We would remove my icon solution (with first/last/next/prev/base parameters) and keep your u1–4 and z1–4 parameters as well as my first/last letter parameters. — Christoph Päper 14:13, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
TemplateDataHey AlanM1 I'm sending you this because you've made quite a few edits to the template namespace in the past couple of months. If I've got this wrong, or if I haven't but you're not interested in my request, don't worry; this is the only notice I'm sending out on the subject :). So, as you know (or should know - we sent out a centralnotice and several watchlist notices) we're planning to deploy the VisualEditor on Monday, 1 July, as the default editor. For those of us who prefer markup editing, fear not; we'll still be able to use the markup editor, which isn't going anywhere. What's important here, though, is that the VisualEditor features an interactive template inspector; you click an icon on a template and it shows you the parameters, the contents of those fields, and human-readable parameter names, along with descriptions of what each parameter does. Personally, I find this pretty awesome, and from Monday it's going to be heavily used, since, as said, the VisualEditor will become the default. The thing that generates the human-readable names and descriptions is a small JSON data structure, loaded through an extension called TemplateData. I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'd be willing and able to put some time into adding TemplateData to high-profile templates. It's pretty easy to understand (heck, if I can write it, anyone can) and you can find a guide here, along with a list of prominent templates, although I suspect we can all hazard a guess as to high-profile templates that would benefit from this. Hopefully you're willing to give it a try; the more TemplateData sections get added, the better the interface can be. If you run into any problems, drop a note on the Feedback page. RfD on Mother Teresa AwardI am about to close the RfD debate on Mother Teresa Award. There is consensus in favor of the proposal you offered near the bottom of that discussion. Unfortunately, I do not think I have the content knowledge to carry it out properly. If I close the debate and execute the retarget, can I impose on you to carry out the merger and expansion of Commemorations of Mother Teresa as you suggested? Thanks. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 00:55, 1 August 2013 (UTC) I have verified all airports where I used the coordinates by looking at the airport in Google and getting the coordinates from Google. All the airports where I used the coordinates are actually really there. I maintain the database at Landings myself, and I have looked at some 40,000 airports over the last 10 years to verify coordinates, so I am sure that all these coordinates are as accurate as Google is. Günther Eichhorn 02:45, 2 August 2013 (UTC) How can I reference Google Maps as a source for the coordinates? Günther Eichhorn 03:29, 2 August 2013 (UTC) The Signpost: 31 July 2013

JWA.org, external links toHi, AlanM1. User Tja5280 added a bunch of ELs to the JWA.org website back in June. As you know, she was reverted, and hasn't been back since. I looked into it and finding that I agree with you that the ELs are valid, I undid several of the reverts (I'm not done yet but I'm taking a break for about a week). I left a more detailed note about my reverts on Tja5280's talk page. Thanks. --108.45.72.196 (talk) 02:07, 13 August 2013 (UTC) PD-VietnamHello. Per this discussion, I made changes to the template. I established it and you have unfortunately "broken" consistency with your edit. I am not going to make any edits which contravene your edits as I do not have any feeling of ownership over the piece nor feel strongly things _must_ be one way or another; rather, I am pointing out my opinion of your date formatting revisions. I did take pains to look back to the VERY first introduction of dates into citations ... which came quite late in the life of the article ... and compared that to what had transpired since, which was why I made a wholesale change to something consistent ... albeit not to everyone's liking (no edit seems to ever please everyone).
