Promotion

edit

Please stop trying to promote your business here – Wikipedia does not tolerate promotion of any kind, and our Terms of Use do not permit anyone with a financial interest in the topic to edit without disclosure. If I see one more attempt to promote Zscheiplitz, its castle/wine/abbey, or the family that owns it, I will ask for you to be blocked from editing as a promotion-only account. Thank you, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:15, 21 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Avhahn - I am promoting a world-class monument of immense cultural importance. The text placed was very balanced and objective. Please stop bulling me and let the wiki community to decide. Shame on you!

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  TonyBallioni (talk) 13:34, 21 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Decline reason:

Your explanation below seems to be justifying leaving you blocked indefinitely for violating WP:COI and WP:PROMO. If you wish to be unblocked, you'll need to convince us that you've read and understood those policies, and won't engage in any further promotion. Yamla (talk) 14:52, 21 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

My article dedicated to the world-class historical monument. I promote and encourage people to visit it, as well as many other historical places across Germany. Also, the article published in 2015 was severely edited and much inofrmation removed. The 'indefinite block' is unjust and unfair.

"I promote and encourage people to visit it"... "it" being a property owned by the von Hahn family? As you have been told, you are not allowed to use Wikipedia to promote private interests. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:57, 21 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I stated the fact, not 'promote' my family in any ways. There are plenty of articles in WIKI stating that the castle so-and-so belongs to a particular family - what si wrong with it?

Further, the reason to delete the article in the first place was copyright violation, not 'promotion. It only appeared after all copyright issues were solved. I was not given time to rewrite the text or adjust it according to the requirements, although my second version published today was much shorter then the original text published earlier this week.

In general, there seems to be no tolerance or desire to clarify the issue before blocking and deleting. The only solution, it seems, is to prosecute and humiliate.

Thank you!

Decline reason:

The overwhelming majority of your edits since creating your account appear to have been to promote the Von Hahn family. Any unblock would be conditional on you agreeing to stop promoting your family's interests here. Since that still appears to be your only purpose, this appeal is declined. But you openly stated that you were promoting it. Twice. And your text was blatantly promotional - eg "Carried out by the Hahn family without any financial or material assistance from the state or the local community the restoration of the Kloster Zscheiplitz is a challenging project aimed at creating a viable and dynamic community of heritage enthusiasts from around the world". If that's not promoting your family's interests and evidence of a clear conflict of interest, then I don't know what is. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:18, 21 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

First of all please explain, how the statement regarding the restoration work without 'any financial or material assistance from the state or the local community' promoted my family? It is a fact, not a speculation.

Secondly, the text in question was removed by myself after the notification. It was omitted in my latest publication on Weissenburg. Please review your records.
