Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on First Secretaries of the Communist Party of Belarus in regions requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Proposed deletion of Muza Sokolova

edit

The article Muza Sokolova has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Boleyn (talk) 19:01, 8 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Kyrgyz Independence Day Military Parade into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. Speedy deletion nomination of Inauguration of Sooronbay Jeenbekov

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Inauguration of Sooronbay Jeenbekov requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The article Band of the Kiev Presidential Honor Guard Battalion has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough reliable sources to verify notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. You must not copy and paste text from sources you find on the web into articles as you did in the article Chief of General Staff of Georgian Armed Forces. I have removed the infringing text, but the material you copied is subject to copyright, as is almost everything on the web, and when creating or expanding articles, you should completely rewrite the information from the source using your own words. Edit Warring

edit

Hi Ayodele, looking at the history of Nurlan Yermekbayev, you appear to be engaged in a revert war. While the additions do not appear to be of the highest quality, consistently reverting is not permissible, has created an edit war, and is putting you close to violating WP:3RR. Further, it appears there have been only minimal attempt to discuss on a user's talk page, no discussion on the article's talk page, and many of your reverts have minimal/no edit summary. I have fully protected the article for two days to attempt to mitigate the edit war and strongly recommend you attempt to discuss the proposed changes prior to the protection expiring. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Authorized marches of the Canadian Armed Forces, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alberta Bound (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Pidulik marss moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Pidulik marss, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. When I was patrolling a new article you created, Police Day, I noticed that as the creator of many, many mainspace articles, you may be eligible for the autopatrolled right, if you so wish to apply for it. Autopatrolled granted

edit

Hi AyodeleA1, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! ~Swarm~ {sting} 01:51, 7 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:1965 establishments in Mongolia

edit

A tag has been placed on Category:1965 establishments in Mongolia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

Sorry!

edit

Hey I'm so sorry ... I had started to write an entry for the 1st Cav Band, not realizing there already was one (as I'd used a different name format). At that point I figured I'd then just merge some of the new info but did a terrible job and overwrote much of the previous stuff. Thank you very much for repairing and rescuing. Chetsford (talk) 23:40, 12 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Also, I wanted to add the 1st Cav Band's baldric and mace design but the TIOH website seems like it's always down, or at least for me [2]. I know they have it on there, I just can't get to it. Chetsford (talk) 23:55, 12 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

FYI

edit

Did you see the National Guard Bureau got an official march the other year [3]? I've been wanting to do an article on it but there just isn't enough out there which I've been able to find that would make it likely to survive AfD. I combined the two NOAA songs to create Music of the NOAA Corps (as an imperfect solution to deal with the fact neither would probably survive as a standalone article), but I'm not sure what to do about this NG march. Anyway, if you have any ideas ... Chetsford (talk) 23:49, 12 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

edit
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:21, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Vancouver Police Pipe Band

edit

The article Vancouver Police Pipe Band has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Virtually all the independent sources are transactional only, not in detail. Most sources are primary and or connected, and many appear to be written off press releases, also not indy.

John from Idegon (talk) 22:48, 30 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Fleet Band Activities into Pacific Fleet Band. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Since you're a frequent editor to this article could you take a look at this edit? Thank you for contacting me. I fixed the problem just this morning. As you said, there were accusations against the President, specifically of nepotism.   Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Marine Corps Women's Reserve Band. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 23:17, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ukraine holidays are now different then pre-decommunization

edit

Thanks for creating the Wikipedia article on Paratroopers' Day. But unfortunately you put in it the wrong information that this day is celebrated in Ukraine on August 2. (Until 2017 paratrooper's day in Ukraine was celebrated on 2 August. Since 2017 the day is celebrated on November 21.) Due to the post 2014 Euromaidan decommunization in Ukraine process these holidays celebrated in Ukraine that were established in the Soviet Union have all moved to another day (a day that is connected with Ukrainian history and not with Soviet/Russian history). The "movement" of Ukraine holiday to other dates has understandable not received much attention outside of Ukraine (and outside of newspapers etc. almost also not much attention within Ukraine), but they did move. I hope you keep this information in mind when creating/expanding new "Soviet Union related" Wikipedia articles. — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 12:23, 14 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Chilean ceremonial units

edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Chilean ceremonial units requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

Liz Read! Speedy deletion nomination of Yerevan Drums

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Yerevan Drums requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Why? I Ask (talk) 13:00, 12 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Nomination of Yerevan Drums for deletion

edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Yerevan Drums is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yerevan Drums until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

Proposed deletion of Side by Side (police band)

edit

The article Side by Side (police band) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear to be a notable musical group under WP:NMUSIC. WP:BEFORE brings up very little but for a few brief mentions on DC-area cable news.

Women in Red 8th Anniversary

edit
  Women in Red 8th Anniversary
In July 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary! Join us for some virtual cake and add comments or memories and please keep on editing to close the gap!
