Please note that non-admins should only close AFDs that are unanimous or nearly unanimous keeps. This was not an appropriate AFD for a non-admin to close. Stifle (talk) 14:51, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Deletion review for Star Wars marathon
editAn editor has asked for a deletion review of Star Wars marathon. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article, speedy-deleted it, or were otherwise interested in the article, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Stifle (talk) 14:51, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Deletion process update
editJust to let you know that there has been a recent update to the criteria for relisting AFDs. You can see the full details at WP:RELIST. The main update is that relisting an AFD a second time should only be done in exceptional circumstances. I'm letting you know because you have recently been active in relisting AFDs. Stifle (talk) 16:13, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Good, never felt the relist system worked well anyway. treelo radda 16:40, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the kind words
editIt helps to step back a bit once in awhile. -- Elaich talk 03:48, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Deletion
editWow, look at all those contributions to WP:AFD. You're nearly as deletionist as I am. :-P Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells • Otter chirps • HELP) 00:07, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, I'm as deletionist as they come. Most of what I do at AFD is delsorting, was relisting as well upto earlier this week but they changed the rules so now I can only go after those which have one or two !votes attached and after closing one badly recently, I'm not doing that much either. Don't worry, much like Huggle I will get back in the saddle and start over. treelo radda 09:37, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Non-admin closure
editWhy did you decide to do this closure? The page being discussed is subject to widespread AfD tag-removal vandalism, so if you did so because you saw someone else had removed the tag, that's a problem. I re-added the tag as usual for this guy's pattern, feel free to remove it with an explanation that you're a nonadmin closing if you feel that's the right course. I unclosed the debate, please let it run its course per standard AfD process. I emphasize again that non-admins should not close non-clearcut cases. DMacks (talk) 01:21, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- I closed because it looked clearcut to me, I don't close AfDs unless it's very obvious that's my decision is the right one to make. I could have added an explanation but there's no reason a non-admin should be held to any tighter scrutiny for their choices than an admin should. If they close inappropriately consistently then there's a problem but in this case I don't see how my decision to close was any less appropriate than the admin's who closed it a few hours after you reopened it. treelo radda 11:41, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
AFD / Merge Question
editHello, on this article, you closed it and said the result was to merge. I'm a little confused as to how this is handled. Who does the merging? I've tried looking for this in a policy but couldn't find an answer. Thank You --Omarcheeseboro (talk) 00:41, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- Usually when a merge close occurs, it's either upto the closing editor to do so if it's little more than a copy paste but you'll generally get a closing editor giving a merge close and leaving it to the regular editors of the article to merge themselves. This avoids content deletion issues and sloppy merges which happen a lot when someone who is unfamiliar with the subject matter decides to perform the merge themselves. treelo radda 00:47, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- Thank You for your quick reply. I have yet to do a merge and still have a couple question. I read Help:Merging_and_moving_pages and it looks like I should do a Selective paste merger. My question is, do I delete the Rugby page after pasting some text into the main Loyola college page? Thanks again. Also, it should be noted that while I will try to do what's fair for the merge, I am the one who nominated the article for AFD, and the only other apparent interested party is the guy who created the article (and removed the AFD tag twice and left rude comments on my talk page, but that's not important. If you, or someone else could possibly perform this merge, it may be in the best interest of neutraility. --Omarcheeseboro (talk) 01:58, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- I'd like to do the merge but as before I may end up cutting content which'd cause different problems. When you merge the article, just copy and paste the required content, reword if necessary and then redirect the old page as documented on the help page. If the creator is being abusive in regards to the deletion nom then it is important as there's no reason for them to make personal attacks against you. In the edit summary when redirecting the rugby article, add a link to the AfD nom (#rd to [[Loyola College in Maryland]] per [[Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Loyola_College_Rugby_Football_Club|AfD]] for instance) and if they attack you again for this or any other reason leave them warnings on their talkpage using Twinkle. treelo radda 11:51, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks for your help. I wouldn't call it abuse, just rudeness. --Omarcheeseboro (talk) 14:24, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, just one thing I can see in your talkpage history where that came into play. Far as I'm concerned, just merge and leave it at that, if he wants to make an issue of it then you'll have to cart it off to WP:3RR. treelo radda 15:05, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

- Ha Ha, FYI he tried to revert my redirect. A minute later, someone caught him. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Loyola_College_Rugby_Football_Club&action=history. Only the THIRD time he's taken down the AFD. I guess he should get one more before reporting to admins. --Omarcheeseboro (talk) 12:25, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- Not really, no but if he's causing an issue where he consistently reverts the redirect against consensus then you should take to an admin. Until then, leave him a note explaining why the AfD result means it must remain a redirect and also that repeatedly reverting the page content could result in a block. If he doesn't stop then you've warned him at least so he does know the score, an admin will look favourably if you've given an editor due warning if they're acting maliciously. treelo radda 14:41, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

This one was absent from the set of AfD's and should be merged to List of Nepalese films as well. i do not know how to do it, but the consensus at the various deletion discussions would indicate that it belongs there as well. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 00:51, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's a smerge and redirect scenario as a lot of the content is already there in List of Nepalese films. Anyway, got most but I reckon that there's a few others which'll need to be boldly redirected. treelo radda 01:06, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry for the additional headaches. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 02:19, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it, you can help by redirecting the remaining articles to the film list as the content within is to some degree not worth merging and making me reconsider changing the close decision to "Redirect all to List to Nepalese films". Anyway, thanks for your help and telling me about the other related articles. treelo radda 10:29, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

editHey thanks for cleaning that message up on my talk page!Onepiece226 (talk) 18:34, 20 October 2008 (UTC)OnePiece226

The Grim Adventures of the Kids Next Door
editYou have been tagging various redirects to The Grim Adventures of the Kids Next Door using Template:db-redirtypo, i.e. WP:CSD#R3. You might do better with something like WP:CSD#G8.--Rumping (talk) 22:56, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
I removed all the crap from the article and showed the television film's notability. Schuym1 (talk) 18:28, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's a nice start but I wonder how you'll be able to push it further than an incredibly sparse stub without reintroducing some of the crap. Be aware that it isn't a film and that's it's no more special than Wrath of the Spider Queen. Big Boogey Adventure has an article because it was actually feature length and was released on DVD. treelo radda 18:40, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- It may not be a film, but it passes WP:EPISODE. Schuym1 (talk) 18:43, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- That guideline... I think there might be enough to keep this one alive. Keep at it, it's got to improve from this because if it's still a stub or filled with cruft again in three months time it'll be up for AfD again. It'll be hard to keep some of the more dim GAOBAM fans from editing it just to get in some crap about Fred Fredburger so keep a close eye on it because it will go downhill fast without any diligence. treelo radda 18:56, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- I have added a procuction section. Schuym1 (talk) 19:08, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- I added a review. Now, it's a good stub. Schuym1 (talk) 19:11, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's an OK stub, good might be pushing a little. I'll leave you to it then, probably should be talking to the nominator for deletion about this though, not me. treelo radda 19:16, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
