Wikipedia and copyright

Hello Behzad Azarmju M.D., and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

Software programs for pharmacy workflow management ‎

Given that Draft:Pharmacy management system was declined twice, your decision to recreate the content as Software programs for pharmacy workflow management was not appropriate. The number of prescriptions dispensed in 2016 was 4,450,000,000 in the U.S. and 141,000,000,000 in the world (https://www.statista.com/statistics/238702/us-total-medical-prescriptions-issued/). Almost all went through at least one of the numerous programs that I mentioned their most famous ones. Wikipedia, not only doesn't name even the most used programs, it didn't have a page about such a phenomenon which is a big defect. --Behzad Azarmju M.D. (talk) 10:37, 15 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi Behzad Azarmju M.D., you can create articles for those programs if they meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline, and then add a link to those articles from the Pharmacy management system article. However, a good rule of thumb for software articles is to avoid adding a software program to a list unless it already has an article on Wikipedia. Would you please start paying attention to WP:MEDRS, and would you PLEASE stop adding bare URL citations that other people need to clean up? It is very easy to format citations. Please take the time to read the note below, and to learn how to do this.

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN.

1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
2. Then click on "templates",
3. Choose the most appropriate template and fill in the details beside a magnifying glass followed by clicking said button,
4. If the article is available in Pubmed Central, you have to add the pmc parameter manually -- click on "show additional fields" in the template and you will see the "pmc" field. Please add just the number and don't include "PMC".
