editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 19:08, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
October 2020
editHello, I'm Eagles247. Your recent edit to the page Antonio Brown appears to have added premature information about a reported sports transaction, so it has been removed for now. The transaction is based on anonymous sources and/or awaiting an official announcement. If you believe the transaction has been completed, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 16:57, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Joe Biden
editHey there. There will be plenty of time to update the BLPs for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris once the votes are certified or a preponderance of reliable sources report them as having won the election. Appreciate your enthusiasm, but please sit tight for a bit and see the talk page if your have questions. Best to you. QueenofBattle (talk) 15:43, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
Edit filter
editSorry about the trouble with the filter. There's been a problem with severe vandalism on that page, probably from compromised accounts, and you got caught up in that. If this happens again, please report the problem at WP:EF/FP. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 19:12, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
Discretionary sanctions alert - American politics
editThis is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
Just letting you know as well that there is an additional restriction on some articles (including Joe Biden) which states that: If a change you make to this article is reverted, you may not reinstate that change unless you discuss the issue on the talk page and wait 24 hours (from the time of the original edit). Partial reverts/reinstatements that reasonably address objections of other editors are preferable to wholesale reverts.

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message
editDisambiguation link notification for November 27
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited New England Patriots, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages John Hannah and Craig James. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:05, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

editPlease refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you.
Specifically, with these edits you WP:Piped links to the city location of 5 NFL franchises in Carolina, Jacksonville, Seattle, Tampa Bay, and Tennessee.[1], [2], [3], [4], [5]
Editors reverted your Carolina[6] and Tennessee[7] edits.
Your restored the Tennessee edit.[8]
I then reverted your 4 remaining edits to Jacksonville,[9] Seattle,[10] Tampa Bay,[11] and Tennessee[12] while using the WP:Edit Summary of "MOS:PLACE" which states:
Places should generally be referred to consistently by the same name as in the title of their article
.
You then restored your edit to Seattle[13] which has again been reverted with the WP:Edit Summary of "per MOS:PLACE and now editor's Talk re same." UW Dawgs (talk) 04:03, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Please read the note regarding changes in info box. Thank you. David J Johnson (talk) 17:56, 17 January 2021 (UTC)

Images
editToo many images is secondary. The primary problem is MOS:IMAGELOC. Read it. Understand the problem and respond to what I'm complaining about, not the other issue. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:10, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
@Walter Görlitz: (Personal attack removed) This MLS article (w/ the exception of expansion franchises like Miami, Nashville, St. Louis which have no history of significance) has the least amount of photos in comparison to other MLS club articles. Quit stalking my edits, and why aren't you removing the excess amount of images on the Houston Dynamo, LA Galaxy, and Toronto FC pages if you truly care about his petty issue?!? Bergeronpp (talk) 00:17, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- OK. First, don't call anyone anywhere that again. Please strike it. I will check back here again and if it has not been removed I will report your inappropriate language to the admins.
- Second, you're arguing about the wrong thing. I'm concerned about IMAGELOC and nothing else. What does IMAGELOC say about image placement?
- Third, you're the one concerned about petty issues. I am concerned about proper layout of the (clearly too many) images. If you want too many images, I'm not going to start removing them, until they actually impede a reader's ability to read, but if they look terrible on the page for layout reasons (again, see IMAGELOC).
- Fourth, I'm not stalking any of your edits. I have been editing MLS (and other soccer articles) for over a decade. Every single MLS, USL and other North American league articles are on my watchlist and if you make them ugly, I'll revert those edits. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:10, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Walter Görlitz: cringe. Bergeronpp (talk) 01:15, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- I'm not quite sure what that means. Would you like to explain or should I just take this to ANI? Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:22, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
