Thanks for contributing to the article Ugonna Uzochukwu. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Same problem at Okoro Idozuka. Please slow down and carefully evaluate the sources you are adding. Sam Kuru (talk) 12:00, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Vanderwaalforces. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Bush burning in Nigeria, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 21:01, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by introducing incorrect information, as you did at Isaac Mattia, you may be blocked from editing. You have added an image of an ice hockey team to an article about a South Sudanese footballer. Please check that you are adding correct images to articles. Belbury (talk) 21:18, 7 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

I'm so sorry I won't repeat the mistake again thanks for notifying me Chizoba2 (talk) 11:02, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks!
Out of interest are you taking part in one of the "Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos" competitions right now? We've seen another user add the same image recently, but as part of that competition - I assume both of you were misled by the hockey image being used incorrectly on Mattia's Wikidata page (where it's now been removed). Belbury (talk) 12:56, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
yes Chizoba2 (talk) 13:59, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
(edit conflict) This user is not competing for the WPWP campaign. Participants use the WPWP hashtag to enable us to be able to track them. Chizoba, if you are, I encourage you to stop until you’re able to contribute constructively. Best, Reading Beans 14:01, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
We tried using wpwp #tag but it keep sending us messages and won't publish Chizoba2 (talk) 14:05, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
File:Jo Cals 1965.jpg is not a photo of the 35-year-old female British tattoo artist Cally-Jo, it's the 51-year-old male Prime Minister of the Netherlands Jo Cals.
I cannot imagine how you thought that was the right picture when you added it today! You must check that the photos you're adding are of the right people. Belbury (talk) 14:18, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Infobox images

edit

Note that when you're adding an image to an infobox it doesn't need all the thumbnail markup around it, and the caption should go in the "caption" field.

Here's a link to where I've fixed the Bruce Parry infobox to display correctly, so you can see what I've done: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bruce_Parry&diff=1239291959&oldid=1239279688 Belbury (talk) 13:21, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

There is some question as to whether Chizoba2 and Goodymeraj are sockpuppets of each other or meatpuppets of each other. Personally, I don't care. The behavior is destructive, regardless. It needed to stop. It has stopped. If another administrator wishes to unblock this account and Chizoba2, they may do so without my input. --Hammersoft (talk) 12:58, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

I have removed the block from this account, as it seems that the suspicion of sockpuppetry is unfounded. However, please be careful about adding images to articles, to avoid being blocked sgain. JBW (talk) 19:58, 13 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you I won't repeat that mistake again Chizoba2 (talk) 06:43, 14 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
The block for socket puppet is still showing in their userpage, kindly look into it @JBW Tesleemah (talk) 08:25, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
OK, I noticed they are editing already,I don't know why the block is still showing in their userpage. Can that be removed too? Tesleemah (talk) 08:28, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Tesleemah: The notice on the userpage saying that the account was blocked as a sockpuppet was there just because the administrator who extended the block posted it there, just like anything else that anyone posts on a page. It doesn't automatically go away because the block is over. However, I have now deleted it. Thanks for pointing it out. JBW (talk) 08:41, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Alright, thank you
Kudos for the work so far! Tesleemah (talk) 08:45, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
