Vani Bhojan

Hi sir, kindly see the Vani Bhojan article page. Riya Iyer S Menon doing wrong manner in editing Vani Bhojan article page. Thanks Eswnav (talk) 03:38, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

@Eswnav: Neither one of you has been able to articulate in any clear way what you find problematic with the other editor's changes, so I imagine both of you will wind up blocked indefinitely, since this is the English Wikipedia, and we expect people to be able to communicate in English, and we expect all disputes to be resolved in English. If neither of you can work constructively in English, you'll likely both be asked not to edit here. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:48, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: Vani Bhojan made her cinematic acting debut in the 2010 Tamil film Orr Eravuu. So I corrected it in that article. Is there anything wrong done by me?

Why branding others in the article of Vani Bhojan? Eswnav always do unecessary and long wise content for providing a statement or an information. I corrected it in a good way but the great fan based infactuation of Esnaw made it irritated by my Good Edits and undoing the way i corrected the article. Riya Iyer S Menon (talk) 01:40, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

@Eswnav: What wrong manner i have done in Vani Bhojan's article????Are you mad?????why are you after her..again, again and again?????Look this is not a Platform to highlight your favorite people. You have even made Galatta Nakshatra Awards page only for her. This one and each of your concern about her is a kind of Madnedsss.I haven't done anything wrong..but cleared out the mistakes..Why you always nurturing with more highlights in it.She's a Just a new actress...Not veteran in film industry..but you make her as only one Heroine at the Top.Please Understand your madness over her and realise that it's not a platform to show your fanism to her.Make a facebook page or instagram page instead of that..Wikipedia have it's own better standards. Please be a Good Editor atleast.

Riya Iyer S Menon (talk) 01:52,28 November 2020 (UTC)

@Cyphoidbomb: - Please block User Eswnav ; Even I explained the matter and reasons he keeps highlighting & nurturing Vani Bhojan. Please Block Eswnav.it's my humble reQuest. I have my part to explain ...He's still on his mad fan behaviour and can be reflected even i pointed out him again. Please Block him.Riya Iyer S Menon (talk) 05:11,28 November 2020 (UTC)
  • Also he keeps highlighting Vani Bhojan in each of article related to her.Meeku Maathrame Cheptha, is the best example for that.I provided the contents in proper way and importance in terms of teaser and movie. But he keeps removing other cast and highlighting Vani Bhojan Only. Please make immediate procceding to this kind of mad Editings.Riya Iyer S Menon (talk) 05:16,28 November 2020 (UTC)

Eswnaw and Riya Iyer S Menon are still edit warring in Vani Bhojan, and in Meeku Maathrame Cheptha, and to some extent in other articles as well, like List of Indian television actresses. Combined with the mutual lack of AGF and a not particularly strong grasp of English, it is getting a bit disruptive – I think both of them have crossed 3RR today, but even if they haven't, neither of them is really trying to solve their disagreements in a constructive way. I've given both of them an EW warning now, anyway. --bonadea contributions talk 23:11, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

@Bonadea:; For me wikipedia is a platform for good edits.I am not in a war as I keep good edits, but branding someone ie, Vani Bhojan by User Esnaw is same as vandalism and disruptive. He always keep nurturing and highlighting her only and articles related to that article, even I mentioned him multiple times.Do you think it is good?Is there anything wrong done by me?

Why branding others in the article of Vani Bhojan? Eswnav always do unecessary and long wise content for providing a statement or an information. I corrected it in a good way but the great fan based infactuation of Esnaw made it irritated by my Good Edits and undoing the way i corrected the article. Still why eswnav is still unblocked???????He always after her,for even minute things.

lastly i edited once again in a good way .Please check that & protect that page from Esnaw & b;lock him from that page for further edits.

Riya Iyer S Menon (talk) 05:30, 29 November 2020 (UTC)

@Bonadea:;Please do make a check, and my Edits & Esnaw's fanboy Highlighting for Vani Bhojan in each articles related to her. Please Realize the Real thing behind this fan Edits by Esnaw.Riya Iyer S Menon (talk) 05:46, 29 November 2020 (UTC)

Sock, meat or similar COI?

Today new user Rwpravaz added name of a VFX coordinator using IMDb as source (embedded it actually) here. I removed it citing WP:UGC. Now another user Kumarpatra198 readded [1] it with a summary ' refer credit to visual effects editor as per official information'. While this person's name may have been displayed in the end credits of the film, although I don't know exactly what Kumarpatra198 meant in his edit summary. What concerns me is [this]. Especially with comments like "This is a new article for you. Enjoy Uttam. Make your own", looks they are getting paid for this or atleast some sort of COI is there. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:05, 29 November 2020 (UTC)

@Fylindfotberserk: I agree with you that this sure looks suspicious. (Also, who creates a Rajdev Kumar barnstar?) Step one: Adding Rajdev Kumar and Draft:Rajdev Kumar to my watchlist... Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:28, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, I've watchlisted these red pages as well. Rajdev Kumar barnstar  . - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:30, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
@Fylindfotberserk: This is probably really catty of me, but this Kumar guy is a visual effects coordinator, and the best images his crew can drum up are selfies shot with a potato? See File:Rajdev.jpg and File:RajdevKumar.jpg. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:38, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
LOL. Nothing wrong being little catty. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:46, 29 November 2020 (UTC)

@پیر عمر حیات شاہ شیرازی الہاشمی: Unfortunately, I don't understand what you are asking or what account you are asking to have unblocked. You are using an account named پیر عمر حیات شاہ شیرازی الہاشمی, which is currently not blocked. If you are talking about a different account, you will need to tell me what that account name is. Help

Hi please help I have told this user User:SPEcial EDItor 2020 to not change font size of nominations table for Bigg Boss (Tamil season 4) and no one can read it clearly and he is keep doing the same thing which is quite irrating and annoying. He is vandalising the page time and time again. Please can you ask him to not do it or block him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:4C8:41:8571:C179:F48E:4440:EB41 (talk) 16:51, 29 November 2020 (UTC)

I'm trying to get clarification on this here. Yeah, 60% is far too small to read, but I need to know if the WikiProject Television community has existing guidelines about this, as I'm guessing most of the Bigg Boss articles are written by people who have little to no experience editing quality articles, so most of the content is probably problematic for one reason or another. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:19, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
As editor IJBall was kind enough to point out to me, per WP:FONTSIZE, "Under no circumstances should the resulting font size of any text drop below 85% of the page's default font size". I have warned SPEcial EDitor. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:18, 29 November 2020 (UTC)

Cyphoidbomb you have warned him and still he is doing it see [2] and another thing is he is keep capitalising the heading like over here [3] when I told him not to and read WP:MOSHEAD and he is still doing it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:4C8:41:8571:ED39:4620:2DD0:4A7A (talk) 08:42, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

Disruptive IP range

Recently some IP ranges are making disruptive edits in many film articles. Typical modus include financial vandalism, removal of sourced content removal or change of the short description, unnecessary overlinks. Ranges include this one from Karnataka and this from Kerala. Do you happen to know LTAs with similar behaviors? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:57, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

Rafiuddin Deobandi

It has been a month that I curated this article. I've removed some copyright violations but they're recorded in the history. Could you consider reviewing the article & hiding the necessary revisions from public view? I don't know how REVDEL works. Regards ─ The Aafī on Mobile (talk) 14:54, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

BB Font Size

Hi Cyphoidbomb I think the font size should be a little bit down to 75% because at 85 the table is going off the page. And I read WP:FONTSIZE and it said 85 and below. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:4C8:53:413E:904E:1A18:FEF:2763 (talk) 08:37, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

Maybe the problem is not the font, but the obsession with trivial Bigg Boss data. Regardless, the solution to tables going off the page isn't to make the text microscopic. I don't know what the solution is, but people still need to be able to read the data without having to use magnifying glasses. And per WP:FONTSIZE: "Under no circumstances should the resulting font size of any text drop below 85% of the page's default font size". So "the table is going off the page" doesn't seem to be a valid argument to ignore a guideline that says "under no circumstances". Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:11, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

Edit revert comments

Could you elaborate on the revert you did for my edit regarding reliable sources? What source isn’t reliable? Smarter1 (talk) 03:13, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

@Smarter1: Since I make many edits each day, and can't specifically recall which one you're curious about, your question comes with the burden of me having to locate my reversion of your edit. If you're referring to this edit, wow, I think my edit summary was pretty clear: "Undid revision 991395921 by Smarter1 (talk) Wikipedia Basics: Please familiarise yourself with our reliable sourcing guidelines. See also WP:UGC and WP:RS/IMDB". Both WP:UGC and WP:RS/IMDB would have answered this question, had you clicked on either of those links, which I guess you didn't bother doing. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:47, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
I did look at them and I believe you are being presumptuous. It would be great if you could provide more descriptive reasoning for your reverts rather than making the other person guess what your intentions are. Smarter1 (talk) 23:01, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
@Smarter1: I want to help you reason this through: You attempted to use IMDb as a reference. You were reverted and directed to WP:UGC and WP:RS/IMDB. The first link contains five sentences with several examples of unacceptable user-generated sites. The second link reads "WP:RS/IMDB" and contains information about IMDb's suitability as a reference. So, it would be reasonable to deduce that I'm trying tell you something about IMDb. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:15, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
Fair enough. But it would be great if you could be specific in your communication instead of assuming everyone is thinking the same way as you. Smarter1 (talk) 05:12, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
@Smarter1: Thank you for the suggestion. I will be specific in my communication: Since I have reverted your attempt to use IMDb as a reference, and have pointed you to WP:UGC and WP:RS/IMDB, you should read those, as they will tell you whether the Wikipedia community considers IMDb a suitable reference. Once you read both, you should no longer be confused. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 09:33, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

Want protection on article Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin

There are some IP users who are continuously doing disruptive edits on the article and I have to fix this always so I want pp protection on article Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. With regards Unknownnreasonn (talk) 12:38, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

@Unknownnreasonn: When you request page protection or other administrative services, you should be providing "diffs" that show examples of the problematic editing so that administrators know what the problems are and how long they've been going on. It's not reasonable to complain and then expect someone else to do the research. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:10, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
This is difference you can see now between my edit and disruptive edit.[4] Unknownnreasonn (talk) 14:24, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
@Unknownnreasonn: The goal here is to demonstrate two things: what the problems are, and how long it's been going on. You would want to do something more like: "In this edit from 6 December, an anonymous editor add fabricated plot details about events that did not happen on the series. In this edit from 28 November they did ____ and ____." Without that, you are shifting the burden to me to figure out what someone else did wrong in an article that you are familiar with, but that I am not. So far you've provided one example, which is not enough for me to spot a trend of disruption. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:30, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

@Cyphoidbomb: This is wrong adding the full story without telecast is not good. The stories are similar with its original versions so they are adding full plot by copy and paste method so I think this called as disruption. There are certain examples of the same. Unknownnreasonn (talk) 14:37, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

Prabhas

This user seem to be adding puffery despite notification by you and me. This source doesn't mention anything like "international acclaim". Also they removed, "3 times" from the sentence about Forbes ranking. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:38, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

@Fylindfotberserk: I was looking at that as you were writing the above.   He has been warned. It looks like he's deliberately using squirrely, vague language to make it seem like Prabhas is more important. That's a marketing technique--if you say that he's been featured on the Forbes list since 2015, that makes the reader assume he was there every year. Anyway, promotion. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:48, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
. I wonder how many COI users are there when it comes to Indian film related articles. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:59, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

Disha Patani

Sir, the recent edits by the IP range have added a lot of POV and puffery in the article. Also moved refs which were in proper positions (atleast I can say about the Early life section in this stable version). This IP range has been making these kind of edits including unsourced changes to budget/gross in various film related articles. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:58, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

@Fylindfotberserk: If you find problems like that, you are free to revert. I have left a message on their talk page. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:14, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
Thank you sir. These IPs are quite adept at mixing puffery, unsourced, unnecessary content, and original researches and present them as seemingly harmless edits. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:19, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
Another one from Kerala [5], does financial vandalism, adds unsourced genre and WP:OLs. I've seen them in many film articles. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:24, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
@Fylindfotberserk: Yeah, I blocked this vandal earlier when they were editing from 116.68.74.174. They make constructive changes in an effort to hide vandalism. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:44, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
Thanks.. I came across another one from Bangalore. This one bloats up the plot using actor names and deletes the short description. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:51, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

Rashami Desai

Looks like some users and IPs are adding non-notable awards in Rashami Desai article. Would you kindly check it? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 06:07, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

Hero Gayab Mode On

Hello @Cyphoidbomb:, I hope you're doing great. I create the article Hero: Gayab Mode On. It seems that the show is liked by many. Though I'm not a fans, I like to work on Indian content. But it's hard to keep it to neutral point of view (NPOV) from being puffery. Should I request for page protection, or could you protect the page from anonymous ip. I know it would block access for all anonymous ip who may want to contribute constructively, but would allow confirmed editor to work on the quality content. Please guide me. Thanks for your consideration.--C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 16:01, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

@C1K98V: Hi there, so far, while there have been a few problems here and there, I don't know if it currently warrants protection. If the disruption continues, then we can look at it again. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:18, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
Cyphoidbomb, okay sure, thanks. But could you inform me so that I can work and fixed the issues of the article. I have one more query not related to this but Surbhi Chandna currently the article is not on the netural and stable version, most of which are unsourced material. The image is copyright, that I have tagged. But I can't fix those rest. Could you me assist me. Thanks C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 16:23, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
@C1K98V: I'm not exactly sure what you're asking me for help with. I don't notice anything specifically problematic at either article with regard to our neutral point of view policy. At the Surbhi Chandna article, there were some issues with questionable awards and poor sources being added, but not anything specifically in violation of NPOV. Although maybe if we consider adding lots of pointless awards an attempt to promote the subject, that might be considered non-neutral. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:16, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
Cyphoidbomb, you fixed the article back to it neutral tone. Thanks for your consideration C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 04:04, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
Hello Cyphoidbomb, I would like to highlight the Hero article to you again. The fans base is continuously added puffery stuff. Please look into it. Thanks --C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 15:04, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

Reverted Edits

Hi, why are you constantly reverting valuable edits? The edits I make is is to provide more information and slightly re-wording the text to improve it and make it more organized. I do not seem to understand your purpose here. Although you are lablleed as an "administrator" please stop removing edts without any accurate edit summary. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:56A:F857:7200:FDF3:3A41:D541:A68D (talk) 00:54, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

Well, since you've provided me with zero context of what the hell you're talking about—no links, no mention of an article, no specifics about my "constant" reversions, and you're editing anonymously from a dynamic IP range—I guess I can't really be expected to know who you are specifically or what you're complaining about, can I? Maybe the next time you try to communicate, you might attempt to do so with context and details and dates and times and examples. You know, like basic communication stuff. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:41, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
Cyphoidbomb First off, excuse your language. You do realize that I can report you for your dumb language despite you being an "administrator". Don't act like you have power just because you are an "administrator" so watch your disruptive and unnecessary language there. Let me clue you in since you mentioned you are clueless. I am talking about the page Shrenu Parikh. You protected the page simple because I was trying to improve the page. Like isn't that what Wikipedia is about? Or did you forget? And this is not the only page you did this on there are many others too. So if you can give me a valid reason why you protected that page so that editors cannot edit. It's really making me think twice that how you got labelled as an "administrator" which you can't even do your so called job right. Stop being disruptive and approach people with kindness rather than idiotness. You know, with the basic and most simplistic discussions among people. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:56a:f857:7200:fdf3:3a41:d541:a68d (talk) 20:54, December 9, 2020 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Please take a look at the protection log for the article - Cyphoidbomb protected the article back in April for a month, but the most recent protection was from a different administrator. In both cases, it was because of unsourced or poorly sourced edits. Verification is a core policy on Wikipedia, and for articles that involve living persons, it's considered even more important. Sources must be reliable, not just random websites or user-generated content (see IMDB for an example of that). Use good sources and your edits will tend to stick. Use bad sources or none at all and they will be reverted. Ravensfire (talk) 04:17, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
In addition to what Ravensfire said, the edits in question were absurd, Anon. Here, you added an unsourced birth year, which potentially violates WP:BLPPRIVACY. In this edit you wrote "Family members are not required to be in the Early Life section. When clicking on the references there is no information that supports the content listed. Well, while family members are not required to be in the Earl life section, they're also not barred from inclusion. So you deleted that content, even though it was supported by a source. But you also changed the first sentence from "Parikh is a Gujarati from Vadodara" to "Shrenu was born and raised in Vadodara, India." For some unexplained reason, even though the video at the top of the page here talks about Parikh's brother and that they both came from Vadodara, you were okay with leaving that data behind, but deleting the source that supported it? Did you even see the video when you wrote "When clicking on the references there is no information that supports the content listed"?
In the next paragraph, you deleted "She completed her schooling from Navrachna Vidyani Vidyalaya, Vadodara and went on to graduate in pharmacy" I guess with the same "When clicking on the references there is no information that supports the content listed" rationale? So I guess when you deleted this reference, you didn't notice it said, "she has completed her B Pharm from Vadodara"?
Instead, you left behind "In 2007, Shrenu was crowned Miss University which was followed by the title of Miss Vadodara in 2008", but were somehow okay with deleting the reference that supported the Miss Vadodara win, here, even though the Miss University claim was still unsourced? (Note, that reference also supports the pharmacy degree, which again demonstrates that your assertions are absurd.) Good try, but please bring a stronger game next time. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:03, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
Cyphoidbomb I appreciate your thorough and detailed clarification regarding my questions. This is exactly what I wanted from you; a clear cut explanation rather than targeting others by using nonsense and unnecessary language and approach. I also do recommend in the future that you provide responses with careful consideration --- just like how you did here, considering you are representing Wikipedia (RavensFire response is a good example). Anyways, thanks again for your clarification. Just for curiosity, how do I report someone of vandalism? Do you have that ability to ban someone if they are vandalizing? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:56A:F857:7200:FDF3:3A41:D541:A68D (talk) 07:23, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
In this edit summary I said very clearly, "Last stable. The deleted references do support the content in that section." (Emphasis mine.) In the subsequent reversion, here, my edit summary said, "Last stable. Unsourced birth year (again). Anon, I can't comprehend what your argument is, so use the talk page. This reference, for instance, mentions her B Pharm degree, the others mention where she is from, so it is absurd to say the references do not support the content. I also linked to this article. So I didn't owe you any further clarification. If you wanted one as a courtesy, you might have gotten one had you been more humble instead of accusing me of "constantly reverting valuable edits", which in retrospect you must now know were not valuable. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:50, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

POV pusher

This user Tarunq seems to have a serious Telugu POV. He has been removing sourced mention of Tamil [6], [7], [8], [9] also makes financial vandalism [10]. All edits of him reeks of heavy POV push. I've issued him multiple warnings, even reported him to AIV yesterday but no action was taken. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 06:59, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

Also see this, replaced Tamil with Telugu, even arranged the same reference into position that doesn't even mention Telugu. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:31, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
@Fylindfotberserk: Yeah, I see he deleted Kannada-language and then pushed Telugu to the top. Very weird. I blocked him for 36 hours for the financial vandalism, inflating that one film's gross to 70 crore or whatever it was. If he keeps up the problematic editing, and if what he's doing actually is ethnic warring, he'll be indeffed rather quickly. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:47, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
Ethnic warrior for sure, with an agenda against anything Tamil-related in film related articles. I've seen them doing this in many articles, I believe I've seen at least a few IPs making similar edits in some other articles. Remember that war on Saaho talk page last year on whether to add Tamil or not? See this, seems to be similarly influenced like those dudes that wanted to remove Tamil. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:55, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

draft: Cedar Point peninsula

Hello Cyphoidbomb. I believe the block was for anon i.p. only. And sorry that I wasn't aware of that fact, until after your efforts on that draft page, were lost in the draft's deletion. I had considered contacting you now before proceeding again further, there, but I decided not to bother you, not after all of your previous efforts there, were ostensibly in vain. But I would certainly appreciate it, if you perhaps easily recall the improvements that you had made. Of course, I will obviously understand if you want no involvement with it, now. Especially since there is apparently no guarantee that it will ever be accepted for mainspace, anyway.Cedarpointers (talk) 02:56, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

@Cedarpointers: Sorry, but no, blocks implemented on editors who have been, in an administrator's opinion, disruptive, are intended for the editor behind the IP range, not just to the IP address, since an IP address can't by itself be disruptive. You are technically in violation of our sockpuppetry policy, and while it's nothing personal, I have to block your account for the remainder of the initial sanction. Since you have been honest about your block evasion, I will assume you made an honest mistake, and I won't extend the sanction, as would be normal when someone evades a block. When the block expires at 18:29, 3 December 2020 (UTC, or Coordinated Universal Time), you are welcome to contribute again, and what you will probably want to do is "request a refund" of the draft article in question, so it can be restored as a draft, and you can work on it again. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:16, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

ok thanks. But now, (at the risk of you becoming even more frustrated with me...): the Cedar Point "peninsula" is apparently no longer a true peninsula, but instead is technically an island, now. Therefore, should I simply create a new AFC with that technical designation, and instead utilize the current draft as a disambigution (justified by the fact that it was known historically as a peninsula)? Which also would mean that I would have to find post-1920s references which properly designate it as an island. Cedarpointers (talk) 23:59, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

@Cedarpointers: I'm not sure what the best approach is, here. Is it still commonly referred to as Cedar Point Peninsula, or would the media today say "A fire broke out on Cedar Point Island?" If it's still commonly referred to as a peninsula, you could conceivably keep the article the way it is, but then clarify the island aspect of it in the article, if it's not already clarified. I copied/pasted part of the above mssgs, onto a new discussion at the CP peninsula draft-talk page (and also added a reply). If that action was not appropriate, then of course simply delete it. Thanks.Cedarpointers (talk) 01:27, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

In your opinion, would the draft be at least barely and minimally passable now, for another attempt at submission for review? Or, is it inevitably a hopelessly lost-cause.... especially because of all of other ugly clutter* everywhere on there, now. [*..including the draft-talk "fight" there, which would've been completed averted, if I had not been (improperly?) re-blocked and unable to elaborate upon that draft-talk, as to the additional reason why some of the initial content was no longer relevant....notwithstanding that blatant infringement of them copying/pasting my entire wording from the talk-page, into the draft-page, when they clearly knew that I was blocked (...loose quote, "keep your rantings to your user-talk page"...) and I could do nothing to stop it, except to hint about it in my user talk-page "chattering" but which apparently you never perceived that my "chattering" was directed towards you (...since I presumed that you would be the main one reading all that "chattering"). Well, anyway, that's most of what I never got to say in my "wiki-blogging".]Cedarpointers (talk) 04:44, 12 December 2020 (UTC)

Disruptive editing

Hi, can you please keep an eye on user:Abesam as they have been nominating for deletion a large number of Indian MPs articles often with misplaced BLPPRODs when there are already references. They have also been tag bombing the articles and could be on a political mission. Have reverted most of the edits concerned but am going offline soon, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 01:31, 13 December 2020 (UTC)

Bigg Boss (Tamil season 4)

Hi, recently the user Ashnu has been vandalising this page often. Do you think you can intervene? Praveentech (talk) 12:04, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

@Praveentech: I don't know anything about the show, so you'll have to point out the instances of vandalism that you've seen. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:07, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: Ah, okay, a couple of edits here, I am sorry I am giving you a bit of trouble. See the below notes:

I tried reverting back this change, but seems like this correct change has been reverted back to vandalism by Ashnu!

And here are the offending edits:

@Praveentech: User has been blocked indefinitely. Article protected for 2 weeks. Thank you for the examples and the clear explanations! Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:28, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: Wow, that's awesome. I really didn't expect such a reply! You're now my fav admin! 😁 I am not sure if you still remember me, but we talked in a previous incident, I mistakenly made in the article of Geetha Govindam! 😅 Oh and BTW, I am confused of something. I uploaded this file: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Priya_Bhavani_Shankar.jpg but someone tagged it as copyright violation and I guess I missed some parts of the copyright thing. How should I address this and I am happy to delete the file if it doesn't meet the standards. Praveentech (talk) 02:20, 15 December 2020 (UTC)

Pearl V Puri New Image

Hi Cyphoidbomb I understand about why the last image was deleted and I wanted to ask you if this picture is ok to add as it’s from Bollywood Hungama [13] thanks. TracyBeker0910 (talk) 09:23, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Cyphoidbomb is this this picture is ok to upload as it’s from Bollywood Hungama [14] — Preceding unsigned comment added by TracyBeker0910 (talkcontribs) 19:57, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

@TracyBeker0910: I don't know. When in doubt, don't upload. Messing around with copyrighted images is not something I am comfortable with doing, and you shouldn't be either, if you're not familiar with copyright laws and Wikipedia's copyright policy. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:16, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Cyphoidbomb Yes I understand but this image source I have sent you above is from Bollywood Hungama which is a reliable source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TracyBeker0910 (talkcontribs) 22:08, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

@TracyBeker0910: Huh? The issue isn't about a source being reliable, the issue is about not adding COPYRIGHT VIOLATIONS to Wikipedia. Do you not know what a copyright is? Have you never heard this term? All creative content—books, songs, albums, films, scripts, magazine articles, photos, advertising text, software, etc.—is considered copyrighted the moment it is published. This means that only the person or entity that created the content has the right to decide who else gets to use it, minus a few exceptions under "fair use". If you copy a photo from a website that doesn't expressly say "feel free to use this", then you are violating a copyright. It is not only unethical, but illegal. Go read up on this somewhere. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:13, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Ok I have found a copyrighted picture please see in page TracyBeker0910 (talk) 22:19, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

@TracyBeker0910: You still seem unclear about this. We are not trying to find copyrighted photos, we're trying to find photos that are part of the public domain or released into the Creative Commons. The image you used appears to allow us to use it under Creative Commons licensing. All other images are copyrighted, and we should not use them. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:27, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Page protection required

Hello @Cyphoidbomb:, I hope you're doing well. I urge you to have a look at the Hero: Gayab Mode On. anonymous ip editor are adding unsourced material and the lead character father play dual role that is awesome, but it is an future events and it is yet to be revealed by the makers. Currently the story is focusing on Lead veer, his missing father Amal Nanda, and the findings of ring. Dansh is the character (alien)/father of veer and the relationship between is yet to be shown. So how can we assume without any reliable sources. This is what I see [15], [16]. Thanks --C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 12:10, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Now I see the series article which I created has been moved, But the new editor who is doing efforts has created a new main article with different name, also a draft. See these Hero- Gayab Mode On, Draft:Hero - Gayab Mode On, then the redirect was done Hero: Gayab Mode On,. Just to justify the name, see these it was used as reference behind all these creation and moves [17]. Thanks C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 13:21, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
@C1K98V: Well, there's nothing I can do to circumvent the outcome of the AfD; if the community decided to draftify it, it should be draftified until notability is established. Yeah, probably annoying considering all the hundreds of other Indian TV articles that are created in live space. For whatever it's worth, I tend to agree that it should have a colon instead of a dash. Consistency and adherence to formal English rules is not one of the Indian media's greatest skills. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:42, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
@C1K98V: FYI, I'm asking about the formatting thing at WikiProject Television, which is always something I encourage you to do when you're not sure. It's always better to get community input. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:50, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: are you saying true. You aren't of any help. I would also respect and follow the community decision. But is it the right method to do. The article was first vandalize in a way by a newbie. I'm also a newbie. I edit for passion since lockdown and like to edit on indian media. It's kind of a joke, that a reference passed in a news article and someone create an article on wiki, and after the afd the article was drafity, salted etc. Now once the principal photography has started, the show goes on air, we are following the afd. Is it suppose to happen. I checked before I was creating the mainspace article. I got no hits on wikipedia or Google, then I processed, I knew I could create a draft and submit for afc. But autoconfirmed are allowed to create main space article right. The article was patroled by someone may be that also in mistake. Thanks and sorry if I was harsh. --C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 03:08, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

Copy edit template on Mamik Singh

Hi, I noticed you reverted my removal of the copy edit template on Mamik Singh. As I understand Guild protocol, an article (or section of an article) with few or no references, along with other serious issues which would require a significant rewrite, are not suitable for copy editing. If you check what Guild coordinator Baffle_gab1978 has been doing over the last few days, you'll see they've been combing the November backlog for articles with these and similar issues and removing the copy edit templates (citing reasons similar to the ones I gave). The career section on Mamik Singh didn't seem to me in a state that was ready for detailed polishing - more like demolition. Wikignome Wintergreentalk 23:32, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

@Wikignome Wintergreen: Hi there, well, a question I have is whether the copyedit template is for use solely by the Guild, or for anyone who might reasonably be interested in the articles in which these templates are used. Your point about un/under-referenced sections is understood, but I'm not sure if I'd personally agree that content is not a candidate for copyediting just because it lacks sources. That said, I'll re-remove the template. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:37, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
I think the general idea is that since, as someone or other wrote here, "A request for copyedit is most effective when the article is more-or-less complete, and fully cited," copy editing a badly-written piece of (potential) nonsense is pretty much a waste of anyone's time, not just Guild members. But I'm still sort of new around here, so I have no firm idea why the Big Guns do what they do. I'm just a Little Gun who follows their lead and tries not to break things too badly. New Page for Rrahul Sudhir

Hi,

I created a new page for Indian actor Rrahul Sudhir and while doing so, I got a message that a page was already created previously but was archived.

Could you please let me know why it was removed?

Thanks & Regards (Panchalidraupadi (talk) 15:17, 20 December 2020 (UTC))

@Panchalidraupadi: Hi there, if you look at the page logs, it will tell you that it was deleted once for being an unsourced BLP and a second time for A7 speedy deletion criterion, for lack of a credible claim of significance. When you created this article, the page should have told you that there was currently a draft at Draft:Rrahul Sudhir. It was declined twice for not adequately demonstrating notability. Most people in the world have to work, and there's nothing particularly special about an actor such that we should assume they are notable by default. You might be able to defend the article under WP:NACTOR notability criteria, but it's borderline and about a 50/50 whether or not it would survive an AFD. I doubt he meets our General Notability Guideline. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:27, 20 December 2020 (UTC)

@Cyphoidbomb: Thanks for your response. I see that the old page had flawed English and unreliable sources.

Anyway, I created a new page and have added references from renowned newspapers like Times of India and Outlook India keeping in mind the policy of Wikipedia. Do I go ahead with the new one or should I edit the existing draft?

Also, if it is not too much to ask, could you please have a look at the new one here...Rrahul Sudhir? It is currently work in progress, but I'd like to know if the template is acceptable.

Thanks. Panchalidraupadi (talk) 16:36, 20 December 2020 (UTC)

IP editors on Studio Hari

Hi Cyphoidbomb. A few days after the protection on Studio Hari expired, the IP editors (feels like socks of the banned User:Cyphoidlonic to me) are back again making similar changes. Could you please consider adding protection to the article again? Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle (talk) 00:41, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

@MrsSnoozyTurtle:   Done Thanks for the note. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 00:43, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
Many thanks for adding protection to that article so quickly. Sorry to trouble you, but it looks to me like Cyphoidlonic is still editing from other IP addresses. Since this one was blocked, there are similar editing patterns for these two: 1, 2. Is there anything that can be done in this game of Whack-A-Mole perhaps? Thanks MrsSnoozyTurtle (talk) 05:29, 20 December 2020 (UTC)

About Draft:Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahaani

Cyphoidbomb Hey! Can you look into this draft and tell me is this draft ready to move into article space?

Is Pinkvilla is really a reliable source or not tell me because I'm very confused about this.

With regards, Unknownnreasonn (talk) 10:38, 21 December 2020 (UTC)

@Unknownnreasonn: Pinkvilla is not a reliable source. It's a gossip blog. Since none of the references speak about the show in depth, the GNG has not been met. If you moved it into live space, it would be subject to AFD. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:12, 21 December 2020 (UTC)

Cyphoidbomb can you tell me some reliable sources name. Unknownnreasonn (talk) 14:33, 21 December 2020 (UTC)

Sir, kindly see the history of Oh My Kadavule article. Riya Iyer S Menon hiding Vani Bhojan name in Oh My Kadavule production and cast, she is a second lead role but Riya Iyer S Menon edit Vani Bhojan name and put it in the last. Kindly see the Oh My Kadavule article. Eswnav (talk) 16:35, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

@Eswnav:
  1. I asked you a question on your talk page about you pushing Vani Bhojan to the front of a list over and over again, and you failed to respond to that.
  2. Who says she's "second lead role"? Prove that.
  3. If she is "second lead role", why here did you list her third?
  4. In that same edit, in your edit summary you erroneously indicated that you "fixed typo". That was not a typo fix. Your edit summary is misleading.
  5. Your consistent inability to edit constructively in this area and engage in discussion is problematic and I'm seriously contemplating issuing a topic ban, where you would be forbidden to edit any article pertaining to Vani Bhojan.

Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:26, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

@Cyphoidbomb:
  1. See Here too he Higlighting actress Vani Bhojan. She just did a supporting role, which was not as important as other main cast.almost to an extended cameo appearance. Why still he is after her????????/
  2. Yet another proof for his hard attempt to hightlight her on a new page failed...Draft:Adigaram 79 has been rejected , he created it only for her.
  3. He keeps highlighting from whatever chances he gets, please restrict him from editing page Vani Bhojan

Unnecessary conversions

This kind of undiscussed changes with unclear edit summaries is problematic. Isn't we be using lakhs/crores as per MOS:INDIA and this discussion? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:56, 23 December 2020 (UTC)

@Fylindfotberserk: They will likely cite MOS:COMMONALITY as the justification for the change. I've been part of some discussions about this, and for a long time I "preferred" using crore in the infobox, but only because I hated doing the mental math conversion to millions/billions, and because the figures were always reported in crore, so it seemed easier to spot check vandalism. But I don't think that crore would really survive a wide discussion. But that's just my opinion. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:22, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
Likely someone will revert it back. I wonder why MOS:INDIA even cites this crore/lakh thing if MOS:COMMONALITY is all encompassing. Reminds me of the discussion we had at another talk page, also this consensus seem to be in favour of keeping crore/lakhs. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:58, 23 December 2020 (UTC)

Two switch

Hi, am on an 11 inch ipad and reflist is not producing two columns but it does when the 2 switch is added, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 03:01, 24 December 2020 (UTC)

@Atlantic306: Understood, but the switch is deprecated, so it shouldn't be used, as it contravenes consensus. Maybe the folks at WP:VPT would have some solutions for your particular setup. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:08, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
Well i've noticed that where two columns are displayed the template used is Reflist|30em, is that permitted ? Atlantic306 (talk) 03:11, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
@Atlantic306: It is, but I believe the reflist template is supposed to default to 30em, and I feel like I've seen people remove this formatting as redundant. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:18, 24 December 2020 (UTC)

I am doing what is ENABLED on wiki, I am using it as designed. If asking for help is regulated by you saying not to do so... it is soft fault that it generates additional requests on the help page. if it is enbled then one can cklick it, apparently the help coming is so far ineffiecinet and useless. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MercuryRising451 (talkcontribs) 00:59, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

@MercuryRising451: You are not using it as designed, since blank help requests don't actually facilitate anyone to be able to help you. And posting increasingly irritated comments doesn't make it likely that anyone will want to help you. Also, please note that when you open discussions in multiple locations, it becomes very difficult to keep track of anything that anyone has said. If you, or someone else, opens a discussion in a specific place, like on your talk page, it's generally considered best to respond there. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:09, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

I am glad YOU have the DIVINE know how to use it as DESIGNED. The flow is enforced byt the software...if it is broken... hpow about you fix the software instead of patronizing people...that YOU KNOW what is designed and how... now wodner wikipedia is such content trash — Preceding unsigned comment added by MercuryRising451 (talkcontribs) 01:21, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

It's not that difficult. I posted a comment on your talk page asking you to cool it with the multiple help requests at the AFC help desk. For whatever reason, instead of responding directly below that comment, you went to my talk page and posted a comment there, i.e. here on this page. You also posted it in the same section as another person's comment on an unrelated matter, and you didn't sign your post. So this isn't very complicated: Please respond wherever you see a discussion, respond below, sign your posts. However, since you seem very stressed about editing here, and even unhappy about editing here, I'm sure nobody will have any hurt feelings if you close the browser window and move on to other subjects in life that interest you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:23, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

this interests me. I am appalled how broken this all is and inefficient. I understand why it is the LAUGH of the day in terms of accuracy of content. ONly NOW after I am trying to write an article I have to deal with people that are clueless what I write about and patronize . ow about you consider letting others do things efficiently? You seem hogging some chair you cannot get deglued from. if you close the browser window and move on to other subjects in life that interest you. Otherwise, how about you contribute to getting things done. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MercuryRising451 (talkcontribs) 01:26, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

@TracyBeker0910 and Riya Iyer S Menon: This is a pretty silly thing to be arguing about, and both of you should be discussing changes when you have disagreements. Neither one of you owns the articles you are changing. Photos are not supposed to make the subject look pretty or cute, they're used to identify the subject. Look at the image in the infobox at Brad Pitt or Sonam K Ahuja, or Jennifer Lawrence or Andjar Asmara or Shah Rukh Khan. Do you see the difference? These are all Featured Articles, which represent the highest quality of Wikipedia article. If neither of you understands what the goal is—that is, what we're trying to achieve when we edit here—then how can either of you work effectively toward that goal? File:Aamna Sharif at Star Screen Awards 2019.jpg seems too wide to make out her face clearly, and even if I zoom in, it's rather blurry to me. File:Aamna Sharif in 2018.jpg is closer to what we're trying to achieve. Tracy, I would consider this edit, where you logged out to revert Riya to be a violation of our sockpuppetry policy. Don't do that again or you'll be blocked. I have no tolerance for deceptive editors. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:22, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
Also, TracyBeker0910 has added loads of photos with the website's watermarks on them. We can't use these, and I've removed all the ones I can find. @TracyBeker0910:, you will need to crop these if they are to be used, otherwise don't add them. Also, edit-warring them back in with an edit summary of "rv vandalism" is asking for a block. Black Kite (talk) 17:31, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
@TracyBeker0910: Yes, I agree with what Black Kite said and I should have mentioned it. A person who disagrees with you is not a vandal. Riya's changes did not damage the encyclopedia in any way. You need to assume good faith of other editors, as unfounded accusations like that can result in you being blocked instead. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:41, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Ok I’m sorry for not logging in and won’t repeat my mistake and I am cropping the images User:Black Kite TracyBeker0910 (talk) 18:10, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Nikki Galrani

Looks like some new users and IPs are in a mission to make her younger [22], [23], [24], when the subject herself admitted being older, as edited by you here. I've also filed an SPI. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 07:40, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

@Fylindfotberserk: Well, not sure what the best approach is here. It seems unlikely that someone would lie about their age to make themselves older, but I'm sure it would be preferable to use a secondary source. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 08:02, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, but TOI profile is a no-no right. I wonder why someone would want to be older. It might be possible that some COI users are trying to coverup that after she ""misspoke""? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 08:30, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
The only reason a person would lie about being older is if they wanted to buy liquor sooner. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 08:35, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

IP vandal

Please see if you can block the 2605:A601:AC32:* range. A lot of blatant hoax from multiple IPs regarding countries/langs in articles related to Indian films. Gotitbro (talk) 21:56, 3 January 2021 (UTC)

@Gotitbro: I'd need to see some examples, so if you can help by providing diffs, that would be appreciated. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:42, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
Here, blatant hoax/vand, hoax, hoax (reinstated even after your revert), hoax/vand, hoax. Seems to be adding countries/langs on their own imaginations/suppositions. Gotitbro (talk) 22:53, 3 January 2021 (UTC)

Vandalism

Well, the renaming history is interesting --Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:00, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

@Deepfriedokra: Hey there, happy new year. Yeah, it is odd, also odd that they're likely using multiple accounts. MoonCorp is potentially a username vio. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:11, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

Draftify or Nominate for deletion?

Hello, A user has recently create article Animal(film), whose filming hasn't begun yet, hence failing WP:NFF. Should I WP:DRAFTIFY it or go for AfD/PROD. Given the obvious spacing issue in the title, redirecting may not be appropriate. What's the ideal way to deal this? -- Ab207 (talk) 15:52, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

@Ab207: I'd probably draftify. If you do, please make sure to add a space before the disambiguation, and you might want to make it "(2021 film)", since Animal (disambiguation) has a few films listed already. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:14, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
Sounds good, thanks for the input! -- Ab207 (talk) 17:39, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
Sir, would you please look into this, the user seems to threaten me for legal action. -- Ab207 (talk) 18:50, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
@Ab207: blocked indefinitely for legal threats and for violating WP:PAID. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:17, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for a timely response! -- Ab207 (talk) 19:30, 8 January 2021 (UTC)

Protecting Durga – Mata Ki Chhaya

Sir, can you please do something more to protect the article of Durga – Mata Ki Chhaya as you did earlier, there are certain editors who are giving detailed description of Plot and some creating separate section for premise and plot when both are supposedly the same. I had to fix the issue of the plot earlier, now certain editors are disrupting the rules by adding detailed description of every episode. So, I kindly request you Sir, if you can do something else too as you have already edited this article earlier, I'm sure this article comes under your administration. This is a humble request Sir, I am not commanding you. --Aleyamma38 (talk) 08:09, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

@Aleyamma38:   Done - Semi-protected 1 month. Yes, that plot section is far too long. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:31, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: Thanks a million Sir. Sir, can you please do something for the article Kaatelal & Sons? Because there has been disruptive editing happening there too. --Aleyamma38 (talk) 18:57, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
@Aleyamma38: I would need to see some evidence of disruptive editing in order to protect that article. Can you please provide diffs? Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:23, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: Sure Sir; These are some of the diffs [26] & [27]. After this revision; the editor 2405:204:a129:b4fe::1623:f0a1 continued the disruptive editing with his 4–5 edits. Again the same disruptive edits were tried to be imposed by Vijaykrsrivastava in these edits [28], [29], which the editor continued with his next consecutive edits, by giving the edit summary as minor edit--Aleyamma38 (talk) 19:41, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
@Aleyamma38: I've left the editor a note on their talk page. If it persists, then we can consider a different approach. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:59, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: Sure Sir that's more than enough; Thanks a lot --Aleyamma38 (talk) 20:31, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

Need Help

Hi, Cyphoidbomb thank you very much for your message related to conflict of interest. I wish to bring it to Wiki's notice that I do not have any conflict of interest, neither I am paid by someone to create the article nor I am connected to the article directly. I hope you accept my clarification. Thank you again for the support so far. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Indiansocialwork (talkcontribs) 05:13, 11 January 2021 (UTC)

Protecting Kaatelal & Sons

Sir the same editors are again causing disruptions in the article Kaatelal & Sons. There is a peculiar IP address 2409:4056:2015:2a24:5424:447f:6cb1:488f , which starts with 2409 and changes the IP address to 2405:201:c00e:5852:4dde:6ffa:20b3:8e3c, 2405:204:a68b:af95::2022:30ac, 2401:4900:468b:4d30::c2a:2552 and ceaselessly causes the disruptive editing, giving the reason (This is a minor edit).

Can you do something about it Sir?--Aleyamma38 (talk) 17:48, 15 January 2021 (UTC)

@Aleyamma38: Vijaykrsrivastava has been warned again, and I've semi-protected the article for 2 weeks to dissuade the IPs from adding back their slop. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:05, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: Thanks a lot Sir --Aleyamma38 (talk) 18:06, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
@Aleyamma38: You're welcome. Please note that you are free to warn them as well. I see that you did once, but you could have warned them again like I did. We always try to assume that editors like this are new and maybe confused, but if they don't listen to a few warnings, then we may have to act on that. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:35, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: Yeah I know Sir, but then I was not sure if I could do that, because I myself am not a very experienced editor. Next time on wards, I will warn them more. Thanks a lot again Sir--Aleyamma38 (talk) 11:33, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

Is this user:Tarunq?

Is this Tarunq? Keeps adding "Sacnilk.com" as a source for BO. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:09, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

@Fylindfotberserk: Hey there, I'm disinclined to think it is, only because the IP uses (repetitive) edit summaries, where Tarunq did not. But scroll through Krack (film) and other articles they've edited and look for "Added content and fixed citations" and you might just find a named account. (Or not. It could just be a constructive editor who hops IPs and isn't very imaginative when it comes to edit summaries.) Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:07, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
Might be different people. He typically doesn't write edit summaries. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:14, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

Reverted Edits

Hi there, please take a look at Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon as the user AppleAKB is not adhering to Wikipedia's guidelines. I have given him a few warnings. He may be a bit confused or new. Although I do not think its necessary to block them. RYLELT7 (talk) 03:45, 19 January 2021 (UTC)

@RYLELT7: You didn't format the link properly, but if you're talking about AppleAKB, they have now been pinged. If you're having concerns about their edits, please feel free to notify them as you have, while also directing them to the specific guidelines that they are contravening. If their edits become problematic, then it would be appropriate to elevate to other considerations. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:06, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
