Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jonathan Smith (comic book character), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Damian. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:49, 20 September 2016 (UTC)

Regarding the Jonathan Smith (comic book character) article

I noticed that you recently created a new page Jonathan Smith (comic book character). Thank you for your contribution to Wikipedia. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a character which Wikipedia already have an article about – Jonathan Samuel Kent. If you unintentionally created the page, please note that these two character are the SAME PERSON and that "Jonathan Samuel Kent" is the character's real and full name. Because of the duplication on the subject, your page has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please understand this is not a comment on you personally and your work on Wikipedia is always appreciated. If you wish to write more about the character, please continue your work on the Jonathan Samuel Kent article.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. If you wish to contest the nomination, you can click the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion" at the top of the page. This will give you the opportunity to explain why the page should not be deleted. Please be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:38, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

July 2018

Hello. It appears your talk page is becoming quite lengthy and is in need of archiving. According to Wikipedia's user talk page guidelines; "Large talk pages become difficult to read, strain the limits of older browsers, and load slowly over slow internet connections. As a rule of thumb, archive closed discussions when a talk page exceeds 75 KB or has multiple resolved or stale discussions." - this talk page is 1077.8 KB. See Help:Archiving a talk page for instructions on how to manually archive your talk page, or to arrange for automatic archiving using a bot. If you have any questions, place a {{help me}} notice on your talk page, or go to the help desk. Thank you. --Jax 0677 (talk) 21:44, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Doctor McCoy (disambiguation)

A tag has been placed on Doctor McCoy (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
  • disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 22:14, 1 September 2018 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Doctor McCoy (disambiguation)

The article Doctor McCoy (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Per WP:TWODABS there's no need for a disambiguation page here; the two articles can be connected using hatnotes.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 10:53, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
