Welcome Messages (Added 11:53 (UTC), 4th September 2006)

Hi Dep. Garcia

Thanks for the welcome messages you are leaving for people.

Please can you leave them on talk pages rather than on user pages? It's the accepted place to leave them and it also notifies the recipient. Leaving them on user pages can confuse New Pages patrollers and New Username patrollers.

Thanks! ЯEDVERS 13:59, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Will Do. Thanks Again (Dep. Garcia 14:01, 17 August 2006 (UTC))Reply

Sorry i keep forgetting to click "Talk" instead I accidentlly click there names, thanks for telling me. You deserved that Barnstar!!!

Hi (Added 15:16 (UTC), 4th September 2006)

I agree that you should place clip on neckties in a seperate section. It seems a bit inane to look up clip on neckties in the necktie section. I could assist in expanding the article so more people would agree. --Sakura Avalon 15:16, 27 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

No problem. --Sakura Avalon 15:52, 27 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Helpme category (Added 17:12 (UTC), 20th September 2006)

Hi, you placed the "Wikipedians needing help" category on your user page. This is intended to be used by the {{helpme}} tag, and triggers an IRC bot until the category is removed. Do you want help? If you do, please reply here on your talk page and put a {{helpme}} tag here. If you do not, please do not put the category on your pages. Thanks, Tangotango 10:52, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have replyed on Tangotango user talk page
Ah, okay. No problem :) In that case, you might like to create a link to CAT:HELP. If you have access to IRC, you may also like to visit the #wikipedia-bootcamp channel, where the majority of {{helpme}} requests are handled (usually within 5 minutes). Cheers, Tangotango 17:04, 2 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I figured out how to put a category shortcut on my page without annoying any admins, but thanks anyway. Dep. Garcia

indef blocked users (Added 17:18 (UTC), 20th September 2006)

Please don't create userpages for indef blocked accounts unless they have a significant number of good edits. It isn't helpful. Thanks. --Doc 18:34, 2 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ok, but where do i but the message? Thanks for telling me Dep. Garcia 18:35, 2 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
No where. They get a block message. For obvious bad faith accounts (like those saying fuck you etc.) don't give them any attention. --pgk 18:37, 2 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Ahhh I see, ok I will go back to adding {{WelcomeEmail}} to users that have email addressess as user names Dep. Garcia 18:41, 2 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry (Added 15:34 (UTC), 12 November 2006)

I'm sorry for two things: One, not replying to you sooner, and two: messing up and becoming a vandal again. To answer your comment on my talk page, Necrophobia means fear of death. Also, I couldn't take being framed for being a vandal because of someone else's stupidity, so I became a vandal so I can be rightfully blamed for my actions (in contrast to being wrongfully blamed). Sakura Avalon

  • I'm starting over (again). I wonder how long I'm going to last this time. Sincerely,

Sakura Avalon (my real name is Kaori Takeshima) --Dr. Takeshima 03:05, 4 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Dont worry about number 1 but I read the message that was "written" by Bobby Boulders on your talk page. And you were framed I just hoped you dont get framed again!
Too late. Kaori Takeshima

Why did you remove the {{tl:hangon}} from the page? --Lijnema 22:00, 12 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry Lijnema. i decide that it wasnt important to all in wikipedia. He was my 7th grade Comp Tech and Health/Fitness teahcer. it was only important to me. Dep. Garcia: thank you for your reply and after looking at the people who want to become admins, i realized that i not ready. thank you for warning me not to do it, or else i'd be in a heap of trouble! thank you and enjoy your shift. catch some bad guys! —Preceding unsigned comment added by N734LQ (talkcontribs)

Oh, I just thought that User:N734LQ could do the removing, showing that each editor has power to change Wikipedia, and doesn't have to be scared of other (perhaps more experienced) editors. ;) --Lijnema 00:58, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Code 3 response (Added 18:55 (UTC), 22 December 2006)

You had put in a question about possibly putting it in the wrong category. I think limiting it to Law Enforcement would not be entirely correct, since I am the one who originally authored the article, and I have nothing to do with Law Enforcement (my background is Fire/EMS -- nothing against you or the Law Enforcement community). Perhaps, it may be better categorized in a category a little more broad, like "Public Safety" or "Emergency Services", or even "Emergency Communications", if any of those exist.

Just my honest opinion. Firerescuelieut 02:25, 9 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi Glen, You probably don't know me (or you probably do) but I like to help/welcome newcomers and as a result I have created my own little Help Desk for newcomers and anyone seeking help, and I have created a section titled "Still need help? ask another editor!" and have writen about what to do if you need help and I have mentioned about the {{helpme}} tag and other stuff, but I have also added the "Ask one of my recommended administrators" (I promise, you will understand this fully if you see the article) and I am in the process of picking admins to add to that list, and as you are priviledged you get to be the first admin on that list :-), but it would require helping anyone who wanted questions answering and helping newcomers, etc... So if you dont mind (If you dont want to be on the list, because your too busy, etc... I totally understand) becoming one of my recommended admins on my list? If you do, you can add your name straight on to the list, replacing where it says "No admins as of yet - please use the current 2 options above".

Thank you for your time and happy editing ;-)

P.S, I you leave a message on my talk page i wont reply until Saturday 16th December as i am very busy up until then.

Again thank you.

Dep. Garcia (Talk to Me) 21:39, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the compliment! Im also happy to field any queries, thanks again!  Glen  10:18, 15 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Law enforcement award

An award was added here, to view this award "Law Enforcement Wikiproject Achievement Award" go to my award's page

Welcome to Esperanza!

Welcome, Dep. Garcia, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. You can support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact our administrator general Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

Don't worry about it! I have plenty of time on my hands. It's the Esperanza spirit to go out of your way to make the Wikipedia community...more cheerful (for lack of a better word).--Ed ¿Cómo estás? 20:42, 17 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
You're signature is awesome! Just make sure it complies with WP:SIG.--Ed ¿Cómo estás? 21:37, 17 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Editor review

Thanks for having requested an editor review. A month has passed since it has been posted there, and it has been archived. You can find it at Wikipedia:Editor review/Dep. Garcia/Talk Page Archive, where you may read last minute additions. We would really appreciate your help in reviewing a random editor. If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Your Help Desk

It would be best to integrate any non-redundant information here into the main help desk, and questions at the main help desk will receive more responses from people of various experience. I don't see what benefit a separate help desk brings; it confuses and separates. —Centrxtalk • 23:21, 22 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm happy to help out, but am operating on reduced power at the moment due to RL issues. I'll sign up when those issues have faded. Thanks! ЯEDVERS 21:13, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
