Article referencing
editHi — I've come across your three article creations on my new page patrol rounds, and wanted to ask what your plans are for supporting them with references? There are currently some external links provided, but some of them are not cited through footnotes, so it's difficult to know which statements in the article are supported by which sources (and which aren't supported by any). Also, at least some of the sources may not be reliable, in the sense of WP:RS. For these reasons, the articles don't really pass the notability test (see WP:GNG), either, as it stands. I was going to move the articles into the draft space, but then I thought I'd ask you first for your comments? Cheers, --DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:43, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Object 416. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you. Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:34, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Churchill tank, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. BilCat (talk) 05:02, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
An article you recently created, T-55-64, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Wikipedia and copyright
editHello DerpGunKV2! Your additions to Luchs (tank) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. All other images must be made available under a free and open license that allows commercial and derivative reuse to be used on Wikipedia.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 11:35, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
The page Panzer III Ausf. A has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from https://tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2/germany/panzer_iii. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review — Diannaa (talk) 17:26, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Ways to improve Panzer I Ausf. F
editHello, DerpGunKV2,
Thank you for creating Panzer I Ausf. F.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
We need a lot more refences than this, a lot of this is unsourced.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Slatersteven}}
. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.
The article Versuchskampffahrzeug has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
non-notable, unreferenced; unlikely search term on English-language wikipedia
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:42, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Please don't copy material you find elsewhere online
editHello. I am Diannaa and I am a Wikipedia administrator. Prose you find online is almost always copyright, and cannot be copied here; it's against the copyright policy of this website to do so. All prose must be written in your own words. The Wikipedia copyright policy and its application are complex matters, and you should not edit any more until you have taken the time to read and understand our copyright policy. There's a simplified version of our copyright rules at Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright. Further copyright issues will result in you being blocked from editing. — Diannaa 🇨🇦 (talk) 12:58, 29 May 2021 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hello Diannaa, I have read through the comments written on my talk page and understand the serious violations I have committed. I apologize for the mistakes I have made as I am new to Wikipedia and did not understand the rules here. I also did not check my messages as I did not know what it entails. I do hope that you can unblock me so that I can correct the articles I have made. And I also forgot to mention that all sources found online are protected by copyright. Thank you. Decline reason:
In order to lift the block, we need to be certain that you understand how copyright works on Wikipedia. To allow the reviewing administrator to assess your understanding, please respond to the following questions in your next unblock appeal, explaining in your own words:
- What is copyright?
- How is Wikipedia licenced?
- Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia?
- Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?
- How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future?
Your answers will enable us to establish whether or not you should be unblocked. Yamla (talk) 13:46, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

*Copyright gives full ownership over intellectual property.
*by Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.
*because all sources are copyrighted by owners.
*Fair use.
*I will make sure that I do not violate the copyright rule by writing the articles in my own words and use Copyvio Detector and Copyleaks to check if the articles are in violation of any copyrights. Furthermore, I will delete the pictures that I have posted on the articles without any license.
Decline reason:
I don't understand what the response to Diannaa's question below means, but it doesn't give me any confidence that you understand what was wrong with the image you uploaded on commons. The answers provided above are just namechecks, you haven't shown that you understand what terms like 'Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike' or 'Fair use' actually mean. I'm also concerned that you would feel the need to run a Copyvio Detector check on your own prose - if you've written the content yourself, you already know that it's not a copyright violation. It sounds like you intend to copy sources and then change just enough of the words to fool an automated check, which is discussed at WP:CLOP. As such, I cannot accept this request.
