Giovanni Bonomo Page

edit

Dear Don Calo, I don't know if you are italian too. I'm an italian lawyer, Avv. Mattia Barbera registered in the Ordine degli Avvocati of Milan, I'm writing to you beacause my represented client found that a page created by you "Giovanni Bonomo" is in contrast with italian law. In particular it is considered criminal offense in italy to insist in reporting news about a certain guilty person when he is dead, like Giovanni Bonomo, if his heirs are still alive (it's called Diritto all'oblio). So I decided to contact you before any legal action, even if I received assignement to do it. I need, for my represented, that the page is not visible in italy. I would appreciate your kind and friendly help otherwise i will have to follow the rules of italian legislation. Please if you can answer me, even giving me suggestion on how to solve the issue without suiting anyone, also because times are very long if I have to suit a company from a different country like Wikipedia. I can wait 10 days from now. Best regards Milano, 5.1.2023 Avv. Mattia Barbera LawyerMattiaBarbera (talk) 14:58, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

@LawyerMattiaBarbera: That's a legal threat. I've reported it. Kleuske (talk) 15:02, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Juan Negrin Article

edit

Hey, thanks for your addition to that article - I genuinely appreciate it! I've left a note in the edit history after I made some relatively minor changes. I'm not sure why my edits are messing up some of the links. My apologies! I think it's my browser. Carlp941 (talk) 01:09, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I had not seen the explanation of your edit on the talk page, and some of it made sense, but I considered it a little bit too radical. But I see your point. Anyway, looks better now. DonCalo (talk) 01:14, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

The file File:Bernardo Mattarella (politician, born 1905).jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough information to verify copyright status (specifically publication date), orphaned

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. AFDs

edit

Hello, DonCalo,

I see you have recently been participating in AFD discussions. However, your assessment of the article being discussed and its sources is very meager with comments like "Delete" or "Delete per nom". It would be helpful if you were more specific about how the sources either do or do not demonstrate notability of the article subject that shows you have thoroughly investigated the article and not just read the nomination statement. It's better to go deep on a few AFD discussions than to just say "Delete" on a dozen. It's the quality and depth of your participation that matters, not the number of discussions you participate in. Thank you for your help, we can always use editors who carefully and thoroughly evaluate articles that are being considered for deletion. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 00:53, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Salvatore Contorno.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Salvatore Contorno.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. mattbr 07:46, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your good article nomination

edit

Hello! You currently have a good article nomination waiting for review, but you haven't edited in a while. Are you still available to respond to a reviewer when the review begins, or should the nomination be reverted so you can renominate at a later date? @Thebiguglyalien Hi, I am rather busy in real life, but I am available for a review if we take it easy. Thanks. - DonCalo (talk) 05:00, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Jewish-American organized crime

Sorry about changing the name, I thought it would sound better. I regret having done such now. I will not attempt to fight reverting the name whatsoever. One thing though, how is referring to it as the Jewish-American Mob derogatory? StarWarsFan501st (talk) 23:52, 18 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

September 2024

edit

Your recent editing history at Languages of Italy shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. – Βατο (talk) 18:19, 29 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
